Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2897: Chapter 2022: You’ve Got Some Nerve!

Bai Xiaosheng and Mrs. Margery had a secret meeting in the study for nearly two hours. When they finally came out, both of them looked satisfied.

It seems the discussion went well.

When Bai Xiaosheng and Mrs. Margery returned to the living room, Fei’er and Mollya were chatting with Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying.

As young people, they naturally had common topics to talk about.

Moreover, Fei’er had spent almost a year with Bai Xiaosheng and his team, so she understood Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying’s likes and dislikes, making it easy to manage the conversation topics.

So, during the two hours outside, everyone engaged in a lively conversation.

As they walked into the living room, Mrs. Margery raised her voice and said to Bai Xiaosheng, ”Since Mr. Bai is satisfied and has no suggestions for modification, I’ll send the original report to the group’s headquarters unchanged.”

”Thank you for your hard work.” Bai Xiaosheng responded with a smile.

Everyone turned their heads at the sound and saw Bai Xiaosheng and Mrs. Margery returning, immediately getting up to greet them.

”Please sit. There are no outsiders here, no need to stand on ceremony,” Mrs. Margery smiled at Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying.

These two seemed like Bai Xiaosheng’s followers, but in reality, they were more like friends.

Fei’er had confirmed this multiple times during the nearly year-long time she spent with them and informed Mrs. Margery.

The ability to turn confidants into friends is a remarkable skill, which Mrs. Margery greatly appreciated about Bai Xiaosheng’s methods.

Bai Xiaosheng paused, smiling as he spoke to Mrs. Margery, ”Mrs. Margery, it’s getting late, so we won’t intrude any longer.”

Bai Xiaosheng was about to take his leave.

Mrs. Margery nodded after hearing this, ”Indeed, you’ve traveled a long way and must be tired. You should rest at your accommodations. After all, there’s a welcome reception this evening. Let’s have Fei’er take you to the hotel; everything has been arranged.”

”Thank you for the trouble.”

Bai Xiaosheng did not refuse.

Mrs. Margery personally escorted the three of them to the door, watching them board the car and drive off before she returned inside.

On the other side, Fei’er took Bai Xiaosheng and his team to a five-star hotel in the city.

There, the most luxurious accommodations were arranged for the three of them.

Fei’er accompanied them all the way to their room, smiling at Bai Xiaosheng, ”Mr. Bai, this is a group property. Whatever you need, just let the hotel know. I understand you like to keep a low profile, so I didn’t reveal your identity to the hotel staff to avoid ’scaring’ them. I used my mother’s name, which is enough to ensure they treat you with utmost respect. Is that okay with you?”

To maintain a low profile, Fei’er brought Bai Xiaosheng and his team over without going through the lobby, avoiding any disturbance.

”Miss Fei’er’s arrangements are excellent, and I am very satisfied.” Bai Xiaosheng nodded with a smile.

Fei’er further emphasized, ”The welcome reception this evening will also be held here. Though not large in scale, it will be of high standard. While Wan Yu has many group companies here, only one person is qualified to attend, and that is Mr. Reid, the General Manager of HBB Company.”

Fei’er worried that Bai Xiaosheng might have certain thoughts upon seeing few people at the reception, but in reality, the reception is very high standard, with each guest personally selected by her mother.

In fact, during the nearly year-long time Fei’er spent with Bai Xiaosheng, she understood that he is not one to hold grudges, yet she still felt the need to emphasize this.

Fei’er’s meticulous way of handling matters is her characteristic style.

Bai Xiaosheng nodded. He learned this information during his conversation with Mrs. Margery but did not say much at the moment.

”You all have a rest now, and I’ll come back later,” Fei’er said, smiling at Bai Xiaosheng, nodding to Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying before turning to leave.

After Fei’er left, Bai Xiaosheng and his team walked around the so-called highest standard suite, each unable to resist feeling a bit amazed.

Having traveled all over the world, they had seen all sorts of luxurious rooms, yet this place still broadened their horizons.

The suite’s most prominent feature could be described by one word—large.

Excluding the bathroom and living room, there were eight rooms in total, including a master bedroom, a study, and six secondary bedrooms, not to mention an independent cinema, gym, and several large terraces.

Each terrace was equipped with an outdoor pool.

”Is it possible that this whole floor has only one suite, meant for just one guest?” Lin Weiwei found it hard to believe.

”That’s not hard to understand. Imagine, princes from oil-rich nations or heirs from world-class families, who travel with large entourages. Even if not all are housed nearby, plenty of personal maids and guards accompany them. In that light, doesn’t this suite seem less extravagant?” Bai Xiaosheng chuckled.

Lin Weiwei couldn’t help but nod in agreement.

”You silly girl, according to his reasoning, staying here would make you his maid, and you still find it reasonable,” Lei Ying teased.

Only then did Lin Weiwei realize that with Bai Xiaosheng’s description, she would indeed be considered his maid.

She pouted, feigning anger, ”Then I want to stay in the master bedroom, and you guys can have the secondary ones!”

Bai Xiaosheng laughed, ”As you please, stay wherever makes you happy.”

The place was so large that even an ordinary secondary bedroom spanned dozens of square meters, fully meeting deluxe vacation standards. It didn’t matter where one stayed.

”In any case, let’s find a room to relax for a while; we have a reception to attend this evening.” Bai Xiaosheng stretched, ready to head to a room.
