Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2863: Chapter 2006: Mrs. Margery’s Invitation

That morning, the sun was just right, and the sea breeze was gentle.

On the large terrace of the hotel, ready-made tables and chairs were there. Bai Xiaosheng, Lin Weiwei, and Lei Ying sat facing the sea, sipping coffee, and emptying their minds.

The completion time for the external group assignment was less than a month away, and they could be said to have successfully completed the task ahead of schedule.

On this island under their feet, the last company assigned to Bai Xiaosheng to ”rescue” resolved its issues just yesterday.

Now, they could go back to headquarters to report success.

However, Bai Xiaosheng didn’t plan to leave immediately.

Holding a hot coffee, Bai Xiaosheng looked relaxed and silent. Although he appeared calm, in reality, he was quite troubled.

Because he still hadn’t successfully held Vice Chairman Morgan accountable, and because there was no sign of completing his promotion mission.

Bai Xiaosheng naturally knew what the consequences of failing this promotion mission could be, so he couldn’t help feeling a bit heavy-hearted.

Over the past year, Wen Yan organized three rounds of accountability against Vice Chairman Morgan, each more aggressive than the last.

The supervisor department employees stationed in over a hundred group businesses in Oceania, made significant progress over the past year.

It can be said, they had plenty of cards in hand.

After all, Wen Yan had mobilized one-third to half of the supervisor department’s staff globally, specifically to target this matter.

But, Vice Chairman Morgan wasn’t easy to deal with either.

As the most experienced elder figure, with the strong backing of acting Chairman Bai Xuanyu, he was deeply entrenched. Astoundingly, he withstood three obvious targeted offensives.

In the last attempt, Wen Yan personally led the charge, sharply targeting Vice Chairman Morgan at the highest meeting, and many who initially wavered in their stance joined in the attack. Vice Chairman Morgan also slammed the table, making the situation unprecedented.

But even so, ultimately it didn’t cause any substantial harm to Vice Chairman Morgan.

Of course, it wasn’t entirely fruitless either.

Repeated investigations targeting Vice Chairman Morgan had already made long-lasting topics in the headquarters.

In the last instance, there was even covert insistence that Vice Chairman Morgan might be in big trouble and face danger.

Unfortunately, in the end, acting Chairman Bai Xuanyu supported him, reversing the situation.

At this moment, Bai Xiaosheng was also recalling in his mind a recent conversation with Wen Yan.

During this year they had plenty of cards, but with each use, they had diminished significantly, and continuing this piecemeal strategy was no longer feasible.

Vice Chairman Morgan was also frantically building his defenses and patching up loopholes.

Therefore, Wen Yan believed there was only one opportunity left.

A gamble, all in!

Bai Xiaosheng agreed with this.

However, he had a private thought, that for this final comprehensive attack on Vice Chairman Morgan, he had to take the lead.

Bai Xiaosheng was also pondering if his lack of deep involvement had affected the task’s completion assessment.

This last offensive could be their final opportunity.

But, it needed a trigger!

Bai Xiaosheng didn’t want to return right now because he hoped to find such a trigger in the last month.

Wen Yan didn’t oppose this.

However, finding this trigger wasn’t easy.

The activity scope Bai Xiaosheng had in Oceania was assigned to him by Mrs. Margery, with the other half of the group’s enterprises still in Mrs. Margery’s hands.

Although the supervisor department also sent people there, those territories weren’t easy to penetrate.

Bai Xiaosheng wondered if he could find an opportunity to go and look at the Sixth Business Division’s other half of the industrial landscape, which he hadn’t been to.

Just now, Bai Xiaosheng also mentioned this to Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying.

Though if they really decided to go, naturally no one could stop them, but the other party would likely fortify their defenses strictly, meaning there might not be any gains.

A suitable excuse was needed.

Leaving this troublesome matter aside, as Bai Xiaosheng pondered, Lin Weiwei, noticing his lack of enthusiasm, reported some encouraging news to him.

”In this year, on thirty-two island nations in Oceania, we established six large companies, Xiaosheng, the enterprises personally under your control have reached twenty!”

Lin Weiwei was quite excited.

”Besides that, we’ve established strategic partnerships with seventy-five major merchants, and built close ties with thirty business associations...”

Talking about these, Lin Weiwei counted them off as if they were tangible treasures.

Bai Xiaosheng’s Global Business Alliance plan was a grand and ambitious idea, but step by step, through their efforts, it was slowly becoming a reality, and this felt truly amazing.

It was incredibly fulfilling!

Even though Lin Weiwei often claimed to be a simple woman without great ambitions, she was gradually influenced to fully commit herself to this endeavor.

No need to mention Lei Ying.

Men, deep down, commonly have an aspirational mindset, and when opportunities arise, they’re reluctant to remain anonymous and desire to soar.

Compared to Lin Weiwei’s exuberance, Bai Xiaosheng listened with a distracted nod, appearing somewhat perfunctory.

”Xiaosheng, are you still dwelling on the issue with Vice Chairman Morgan?” Eventually, Lin Weiwei noticed Bai Xiaosheng’s mood and probed gently.

Lei Ying straightforwardly advised Bai Xiaosheng, ”Some things can’t be rushed, no matter how urgent, losing your cool won’t help, it’ll only throw you off balance first.”

These two naturally didn’t want to see Bai Xiaosheng like this.

Bai Xiaosheng came to his senses at that moment and smiled at the two, saying, ”I know, you don’t need to worry about me.”
