Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2857: Chapter 2003: Someone Wants to Curse

The sudden change left Caroline shocked and furious. Everything that Vice Chairman Morgan had discussed with her went awry.

When they initially decided to have Golun International release shares externally, both Vice Chairman Morgan and she were aware that there would be a move from investors to acquire the shares at low prices.

So from the beginning, they arranged everything meticulously, with one of the Caroline Family’s top operators managing the operations behind the scenes.

Not only that, but they had also secretly informed some potential families and conglomerates that might act, and prepared a huge flow of capital.

Additionally, they had set up several contingency plans. It could be said they were fully prepared for any eventuality.

But unexpectedly, despite all of this, they were ambushed!

After investigating further, Caroline discovered that the other party had completely grasped their every move, as if they knew everything about them, even the style of their operators!

An insider job! This was definitely done by someone familiar!

The first thought that came to Caroline’s mind.

Otherwise, who could be so terrifyingly knowledgeable about both sides, inside and out!

The key question is, who exactly is this ”familiar” person, who dared to make a move knowing there was a conspiracy between Vice Chairman Morgan’s family and her own?

This thought chilled Caroline’s heart.

Of course, the most urgent matter was not pondering this issue, but another problem.

To acquire these shares, the Caroline Family had diverted a large amount of capital from their numerous enterprises in Oceania.

The thought was that this was just a short-term capital operation; those enterprises were currently running smoothly, and the funds weren’t needed in the short term, so nothing major would happen.

Moreover, they were carefully selected, with many of the enterprises having no apparent links to the Caroline Family, making it unlikely competitors would discover this and strike.

Furthermore, most of these enterprises were supposed to aid in the transformation of Vice Chairman Morgan’s enterprises, and with the protection of Morgan’s businesses, nothing seemed like it would go wrong.

But in this particular situation, those enterprises were simultaneously targeted and attacked!

From raw material supply to the market sales, each company faced precise attacks!

During the current period of capital shortage for these companies, such attacks were like a knife cutting through tofu, shockingly easy and devastating!

What infuriated everyone the most was that, although ambushed, the culprits remained unidentified for the time being.

Because these enterprises originally did not exist, they suddenly sprouted like mushrooms after rain, and most seemed to be shell companies, such incredible short-term operations require unimaginable power!

Even just in terms of manpower, it was jaw-dropping!

And the troubles didn’t stop there.

Originally, Vice Chairman Morgan had asked the Caroline Family to help with the ”transformation” of their business during this period. The original plan seemed flawless, but when the time came, a large number of counter-agreements occurred in Vice Chairman Morgan’s enterprises, which terribly harmed their family’s businesses.

Their enterprises had prepared early, but this sudden change must cause considerable losses!

After anxiously seeking confirmation, Vice Chairman Morgan’s trusted secretary explained that they too had been targeted and needed to prioritize self-preservation.

Vice Chairman Morgan is currently in a meeting and can’t be reached...

This is a ridiculous excuse!

They secured themselves, so should their business suffer both financial loss and their leverage as well?!

At that moment, Caroline was infuriated.

”Vice Chairman Morgan’s enterprises, this is truly excessive, isn’t this bullying, what do they take us for...”

Robert, with an indignant expression, continuously complained to her with anger.

Aside from momentarily slamming the table in her rage, Caroline remained somewhat restrained, her expression just darkened.

She had already given orders to quickly report the situation from all sides to her.

”Sister Caroline, I think this matter is extremely suspicious! Someone who knows every aspect of us and Vice Chairman Morgan’s family so well, attacking so precisely, in the end, only we suffered losses, while Vice Chairman Morgan’s enterprises seem to be in chaos but in fact have nothing wrong, this isn’t normal!” Robert exclaimed, furrowing his brows, shaking his head. 𝘧𝓇ℯℴ𝓂

”What do you mean then?”

Caroline seemed stirred by this remark, lifting her eyes to look at her own brother.

Actually, she had a slight inkling herself.

”I think it’s too strange! Could it be that...” Robert mulled it over, narrowing his eyes with intensity, ”Vice Chairman Morgan is setting us up...”

”Nonsense!” Caroline immediately rebuked, ”Without evidence, don’t speak recklessly here!”

”Yes, yes, I’m speaking nonsense.” Robert quickly backed down.

Caroline took a deep breath, gave Robert a look, and instructed, ”Now, hurry up and urge our companies, get them to quickly find out who is targeting us. I don’t believe all twenty or so enterprises can have issues without any hint of who the opponents are! If they’re all useless, I don’t mind replacing them!”

Caroline’s words were extremely harsh, Robert quickly nodded and left without another word.

Caroline sat there, her gaze flickering.

It wasn’t surprising Robert thought so, actually, she had the same thought once, fleetingly.

This matter seemed crudely executed, too easily pointing to Vice Chairman Morgan, smart people shouldn’t use such poor tactics.

But the more so, the more intriguing it became.

Vice Chairman Morgan is also a clever man, perhaps even cunning.

Clever people often use reverse tactics to confuse other clever people.
