Inheritance of Two Trillion

Chapter 2858: Chapter 2003: Someone’s Going to Curse Their Mother (Part 2)

”No matter what, I must cautiously guard against the family, even if it’s Morgan!” Carolyne said fiercely.

Ultimately, the family is the fundamental basis of one’s existence.

At this point, the truth is no longer important.

What matters is what Vice Chairman Morgan will do next!

Carolyne was still pondering one question, that is, if Vice Chairman Morgan really orchestrated all this, what was his intention?

Was it because the family’s earnings have been too high over the years, dominating the market too much, thus thinking of suppressing the family’s momentum while rearranging the market?

Or was it a plan to create a crisis for the family, then giving favors, making the family ’loyal’?

Or perhaps other reasons.

Being such a clever person, Carolyne’s powerful mind was always able to come up with various interpretations.

Such a person could also easily be caught in their own cleverness, as the saying goes, intelligence being misled by its own sharpness...

Vice Chairman Morgan received the news, even later than Carolyne.

Because when the incident occurred, he was hosting a company meeting, unable to break away, he learned about it by the evening.

Hearing the secretary’s report, Vice Chairman Morgan felt a mix of shock and anger.

A third of Golun International’s shares were snatched away by a new company never heard before, and it didn’t belong to the Carolyne Family?

The family’s large business in Oceania along with the Carolyne’s side was simultaneously targeted, suffering considerable losses?

”This Carolyne, what did she do, why did everything go wrong!” Vice Chairman Morgan’s first reaction was anger, ”Isn’t she known for being smart, yet she’s being fooled to such an extent!”

Afterward, Vice Chairman Morgan urgently asked his trusted secretary, ”How much loss did our business in Oceania suffer?!”

His primary concern was still the family’s interests.

The trusted secretary hurriedly replied, ”A total of eighteen enterprises were attacked, the damage is still being verified, but it should not be a major issue. The other side accurately targeted our companies’ weaknesses in supply, transportation, and market sectors, which we had communicated with the Carolyne Family for help to improve, and could be said to be the turning point for transformation. But everything had to be abruptly halted before it even started.”

Vice Chairman Morgan heard this, with his eyes slightly squinted.

They were precisely restrained, it was definitely done by someone informed, plus it was prepared and premeditated.

Never mind who was so bold, usually, such meticulous calculations should devastate their enterprise, but the other side seemed extremely cautious, only restraining without causing major damage.

This was interesting!

Knowing the weaknesses of these enterprises wasn’t something achievable overnight, only Carolyne’s side knew the details recently.

And he invited Carolyne’s side to assist in transformation work. Once successfully executed, the Carolyne side would have to invest significant resources later...

She may not be willing!

”Could it be that Carolyne, that woman, is playing tricks with me!” Vice Chairman Morgan said coldly.

Seeing the situation, the trusted aide immediately said, ”I also sensed something fishy, so I had our enterprises suspend the plans with Carolyne’s side.”

During the conversation, the secretary also took a secretive glance at Vice Chairman Morgan’s expression.

After all, it was his own decision, fearing Morgan’s blame.

”You did very well.” Vice Chairman Morgan nodded, ”Timely damage control is your merit.”

The trusted aide immediately breathed a sigh of relief and continued, ”I also followed your usual instructions, letting those enterprises operate flexibly according to the actual situation, attempt to capture the market while stabilizing the current status.”

Vice Chairman Morgan expressed his approval, ”That’s good, a dozen or so enterprises, each with its own situation, under such circumstances, they should be empowered to act independently, you did this very well.”

Receiving further praise, the trusted aide was secretly pleased and was prompted by Vice Chairman Morgan’s previous words about Carolyne.

The person timely said, ”Mr. Morgan, I think this matter is really fishy, I heard the Carolyne Family also suffered a mysterious attack, yet they still insisted on cooperating according to the original plan, it seems a bit staged...”

Vice Chairman Morgan, with eyes slightly squinted, looked at the other party and asked, ”You also feel there’s a problem? So do you believe Carolyne truly dares to play tricks with me?”

Although the two sides have had close collaborative relations for a long time, Morgan has never felt he could fully control Carolyne.

That woman was too slick, scheming, and assertive. Sometimes, he finds her hard to deal with.

”This incident did not cause us substantial harm, but made our enterprises flustered, afraid transformation work cannot proceed swiftly. This level of precision is too perfect! I even find it exquisite!” The secretary probed, ”You know, if the Carolyne Family helps our enterprises complete all the transformation work, they would expend significantly. Miss Caroline is smart, she might not do such a money-losing endeavor, considering you know her nature, she’s quite bold. Maybe she is truly causing mischief, but I can’t assure you, it requires your judgment...”

The trusted aide’s words were not overly direct.

However, the implication is obvious.

Vice Chairman Morgan raised his head, staring into the void, and exhaled heavily. In a deep voice, he said, ”Does Caroline really dare to do this? I still find it hard to believe!”

After pondering for a second, Vice Chairman Morgan continued, ”But, the human mind is the hardest to predict, who knows!”

...

At that moment, over at Bai Xiaosheng’s side, he was lying on a large, comfortable sofa, eyes closed, resting, appearing quite at ease.

Not far from the sitting room, several tables were arranged.

Each table had at least three computers, each with a dedicated operator.

The room practically looked like a cybercafé.

”Mr. Bai, company number twenty-three has sent a message, meeting the conditions, and can release market shares,” someone loudly reported.

Besides reporting important situations, the sound of keyboards being tapped was all that could be heard.

Lying on the sofa, Bai Xiaosheng did not even open his eyes, but he spoke up, ”Agree to release.”

The person who spoke immediately buried themselves in a flurry of operations.

Bai Xiaosheng was now like a person playing a massive game of chess, simultaneously confronting thirty to forty companies, all belonging to the Morgan Family and Caroline Family.

They also mobilized a considerable number of shell companies there, and for convenience, Bai Xiaosheng had numbered all the companies on their side.

Company number ”twenty-three” had recently intercepted a Caroline Family’s company, seizing a vast market share.

Similarly, it also attacked a local company belonging to Vice Chairman Morgan’s family.

In fact, the companies of those two families were originally supposed to cooperate.

Bai Xiaosheng had them swallow the market share of the Caroline Family’s companies and release it shortly thereafter under the condition that the Morgan Family’s company had already begun seizing the market.

Yet, at this critical moment, the Caroline Family’s company was powerless to do the same due to their funds being diverted.

Imagine, the market share swallowed by unknown forces was, magically, taken back by Vice Chairman Morgan’s side at the original price. How amusing is that?

Bai Xiaosheng, still with his eyes closed, could not help but smile.

Once the shell company numbered ”twenty-three” completed these tasks, it could retire successfully, disappear locally, and would be deregistered in no time, untraceable.

Such operations were being methodically carried out by everyone in the room, while Bai Xiaosheng served as the mastermind, responsible for decisions.

On the other side of the sofa where Bai Xiaosheng lay, there were two more tables.

Behind each table sat a person operating a computer, naturally Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying.

Unlike the others, these two were involved in trading.

Actually, they were not skilled in this field at all; they just monitored the data and reported it to Bai Xiaosheng, carrying out operations at his request.

At this moment, in the mind of Bai Xiaosheng with closed eyes, enormous stock market information was displayed, along with detailed predictions made by Red Lotus. A persona identical to Bai Xiaosheng sat amid the virtual world, gazing at the dynamic visuals.

In reality, Bai Xiaosheng suddenly laughed, then opened his eyes and loudly called out, ”Weiwei, Lei Ying, the time is almost here.”

Lin Weiwei and Lei Ying immediately looked at Bai Xiaosheng.

”Sell,” Bai Xiaosheng said.

”How much?” Lin Weiwei couldn’t help but ask.

”All of it!”

Bai Xiaosheng was very sure, ”Not a single share should be kept!”

Caroline over there should have prepared enough funds, and these stocks should belong to her, so return them to her!

Caroline doesn’t dare not to accept them!

When all is said and done, we should break even, but it’s tough on Caroline and Vice Chairman Morgan, with Golun International experiencing two roller-coasters in a single day, the future stock market trend is predictable.

Bai Xiaosheng pressed his lips into a smile.

In this way, someone might end up cursing!
