One-Eyed Monster

Igor’s words stirred some emotions in the Mos Brothers and Shana.

They all knew that Igor was a special existence, but during this battle, they didn’t find that this special existence brought them any advantage.

Although Igor’s progress was rapid, his offensive methods still seemed singular...

Yet, they couldn’t evaluate this singular offensive method because the Soul Devourer Master, who was difficult for them to fend off, also used a singular offensive method, a method so singular they had never seen such an unchanging offensive strategy before, continually launching energy light balls with no variation whatsoever.

However, this monotonous offensive approach made it difficult for them as Resistors to withstand, and so many people were now already half defeated.

These fallen Resistors were their comrades, and once collapsed, they would be devoured by the Soul Devourer Master. The scene was undeniably tragic, undeniably solemn...

So when Igor suggested they gamble and make a bold advance, their blood was still boiling.

Igor’s proposal might seem unreliable, might be ineffective, but right now, they didn’t have a better choice!

Instead of endlessly resisting, it was better to gamble everything, even if they failed, at least they tried hard for their comrades. Although they knew such action would be impulsive, at this moment, they had no better choice.

Aside from mechanically dealing with those energy light balls, they had no way to face the Soul Devourer Master, resembling a flock of sheep ready for slaughter, making instinctive resistance at the final juncture.

As comrades fell one by one, their hearts were torn with pain; those yellow energy light balls kept attacking relentlessly, posing the question of how to cope with this dire situation, but no one knew.

Because in this moment, most felt an instinctive reaction, that is, to survive, for only by surviving could they hope to avenge their fallen comrades. However, the Soul Devourer Master’s attack was fierce, even with a single method, it had overwhelming power, leaving the Resistors struggling to cope...

Nobody knew how Igor would gamble, but there was always a sense that this young man was different, and his performance was always unexpected, as if he always had different ideas.

His ideas could only be proven by himself; all we could do was tell him how to proceed.

The Mos Brothers exchanged a glance, they had done what they should, fully covering Igor. They were big and strong, lacking any particular advantage, so what they could do was to protect Igor as he did what he needed to do.

Shana watched Igor trying again and again, feeling somewhat moved. This young man might be reckless at times, but he was persistent, especially decisive in his choices. It was important to note that this young man had no prior connection to them, yet he chose to fight alongside them without hesitation, which was indeed a tough choice.

In the face of formidable power, not yielding but choosing to resist, such an Igor made Shana and the others admire him greatly.

At this moment, Igor was striving to unleash the energy within him. He had always wanted to know how to communicate with Sol, for only by establishing contact could he hope to acquire the Spirit Binding Net from the skeletal knight.

He didn’t know how to contact Sol, but in a moment of respite, he consulted the Mos Brothers and others, and they replied that they didn’t know either, but their suggestion was quite earnest.

Igor remembered the expression of the Mos Brothers at the time, it was one of complete trust, and that trust made Igor feel very gratified.

Let go, and do it. Although we don’t know how to contact the ally, only you and the ally can control Lightning Thunder, so use lightning to make contact.

The Mos Brothers and Shana’s suggestion seemed sound to Igor. Even though he didn’t know exactly what to do, he felt it was still worth trying to use lightning.

Not everyone is born mastering a skill; every skill is uncovered through constant exploration, and Igor, as someone who aspires to be an Adventurer, wouldn’t be ignorant of this truth. Since everything was blank, he decided to explore thoroughly.

The acquisition of the lightning skill was somewhat mysterious; Igor couldn’t dwell on the origins or connections of this power now, he needed to use this ability effectively. Since Sol could transmit messages this way, so could he!

Being an Adventurer, his role was to explore new things thoroughly, and this skill was something new, so he should spare no effort to explore its use.

If it doesn’t work once, try again, and if twice won’t do, try thrice. He wouldn’t give up.

Moreover, there were so many people worth trusting, already he had no worries, as the Mos Brothers and others fended off the attacks of those energy balls, leaving him free to move forward without looking back.

Previously, he could only unleash sword qi infused with thunder, unable to do more, yet it should have been a significant achievement. But now, this ability wasn’t nearly enough, as he needed to let his lightning manifest independently to catch Sol’s attention for future communication.

Previously, Igor’s thunder was contained within sword qi, but now he needed to release the thunder independently.

The question of how to let the thunder detach from the sword qi was what Igor pondered.

He concentrated on remembering how he had utilized energy when unleashing sword qi, conjuring a longsword was part of it, and swinging the sword released the entire sword qi. Now, in releasing thunder, he pondered what could enable such a release of thunder. It seemed an enigma, for who truly knew what could unleash thunder? Seemingly, no one knew.

As Igor thought deeply, he realized that in his memory, indeed, something could release lightning.

Previously at Guru Mountain, he had used something similar to release lightning.

What it was, was the counterfeit Rain Crystal Stones he and Hustace had tinkered with at the Yonder Travel Academy.

Unexpectedly, at this moment, what he and Hustace tinkered with could still play such a role.

Now he concentrated hard, endeavoring to conjure a fake Rain Crystal Stone, thinking that by throwing it, he might release lightning.

Whether this notion was correct depended on the result of the conjuring, hoping everything would go smoothly!
