One-Eyed Monster

The Skeleton Knight felt insulted!

This was a shameful humiliation!

Being one of the three knights beside the Soul Devourer Master, being looked down upon by the Resistors was something he could not tolerate.

Whatever these people say next, he won’t listen anymore; he plans to thoroughly teach them a lesson.

However, despite his anger, the reality of the situation was still somewhat frustrating.

The Skeleton Knight felt he had exhausted all the moves he knew, he couldn’t just release all the energy within him, or how would he return to the real world afterward?

Yet, those Resistors showed no sign of retreat, which baffled him. Moreover, the leader of the Resistors mentioned taking him back in one piece, making him even more frustrated.

Being belittled was one thing, but being treated as prey was truly humiliating for a knight.

His anger influenced his actions, even though deep down, he didn’t want to deplete all his stored energy. He couldn’t bear such ridicule!

He decided to release half the energy in his body, hoping it would put the Resistors in a tough spot.

The Skeleton Knight roared!

Yellow light spread out from his bones, the sudden increase in energy was indeed striking, resembling a volcanic eruption.

”Now this is getting interesting!” The Mos Brothers were even more excited, as they stood back-to-back, their blades and hammers clashing in rhythm. The Sand People’s attacks grew swifter and twice as strong, but the Mos Brothers showed no fear, countering the enigmatic Sand People with unwavering resolve.

Not just the Mos Brothers, but the others under attack also responded to the Skeleton Knight’s roar. Though it appeared challenging, Shana and Igor seemed prepared for this change and handled it accordingly.

”Hmm!?” The Skeleton Knight grew even more frustrated. He increased his energy output to half his reserves, yet these officers showed no change. The six High Rank Soul Devourers could make a Resistor officer’s consciousness collapse, yet he, above High Rank, could do nothing to these officers? Was he inferior to those six newly advanced High Rank Soul Devourers?

”Igor!” Sol didn’t consider the Skeleton Knight’s feelings, as he both dodged the Knight’s bone attacks and addressed Igor, ”Now, you should be able to handle the intensity of this situation. Remember, the Thunder is you; they are also living beings!”

This... The Skeleton Knight felt even more insulted! Clearly, the Resistor leader was teaching this young man how to wield Thunder!

This was truly treating him like a helpless lamb! Such humiliation was unbearable, so he focused all his attacks on Igor!

He ignored the other officers, unwilling to let a young man use him as prey for advancement!

The Skeleton Knight, though a seasoned warrior, found himself a bit rusty from prolonged complacency. Yet, he hadn’t forgotten his skills. While fully attacking Igor, he formed an Energy Shield around himself to guard against sneak attacks from other officers.

Furthermore, he was confident these officers would desperately shield Igor.

For he had laid a trap! Charging armies, arrows piercing hearts!

Igor, shrouded in Thunder, seemed cloaked in a garment of lightning. His journey from an ignorant youth to a King Realm Soldier involved countless sword swings and energy releases known only to himself. Despite others claiming he was extraordinarily talented, he knew the effort he had poured into this.

No matter what, at this stage, he wouldn’t easily concede.

Feeling the Thunder, merging it with himself, akin to sensing his sword, becoming the Thunder, and allowing Thunder to become himself! Sol’s teachings remained with Igor, never one to be arrogant; he humbly accepted guidance from mentors. Now, fully in control of the Thunder, he was thrilled!

Seeing the Skeleton Knight’s phantom attack, Igor could hardly wait to test it!

This was the Skeleton Knight’s all-or-nothing strike, yet it was not entirely desperate, as he couldn’t release all his energy. He wasn’t Nonoa, who would disregard himself for a belief!

It was the same overwhelming charge, the same crushing assault!

The Mos Brothers were ready to step in, but Sol stopped them with a wave: ”Don’t let him miss such a great opportunity!”

Igor bent his knees, bowed his body, eyes fixed ahead, hand posed to draw his sword!

Everyone understood this was Nonoa’s sword technique, and Igor had mastered its essence!

The Thunder enveloping him flickered, crackled, eager to soar skyward!

Draw! Swing!

Accompanied by Sword Qi, Thunder surged toward the charging armies and countless arrows. The clash between Sword Qi and the phantom would surely cause a dramatic uproar in this Border Realm!

Boom!

A bright light appeared at the point of impact, the Skeleton Knight’s phantom knights vanished, while Igor’s Thunder Sword Qi surged forward!

”This strike is for Nonoa, bastard!”

”Impossible!” The Skeleton Knight was shocked, unable to fathom his phantom attack being shattered by a single Sword Qi, which continued unabated toward him!

Crack!

The Skeleton Knight’s Energy Shield was pierced by Thunder, the potent Thunder Sword Qi sending him sprawling!

His steed raised its front hooves, darting off to the other side!

”Come back!” The Skeleton Knight tried to pull it back with his energy, but before he could, another Thunder Sword Qi struck!

”This strike is for the Soul Devourers you’ve consumed, not even sparing yourself, scum of scum!” Igor’s surging Sword Qi made him the master of the moment.

How could this happen!

Why was he defeated by a nameless kid?

Was he truly inferior to those six newly High Rank Soul Devourers?

It seemed that might be the case! The Skeleton Knight watched the Sword Qi slice through his bones, the Thunder swiftly encasing him in pain he hadn’t felt in ages!

This feeling, long lost!
