One-Eyed Monster

This misstep initiated a chain reaction, and the reaction turned out to be massive.

Each Soul Devourer host body shattered completely, leaving no fragment behind.

At that moment, Sol looked up at his surroundings; the Sea of Fire had long turned into a Lava Land, with numerous Soul Devourer bodies lying scattered, supported by the Sand People and other creatures, the Resistors stood above the Lava Land!

The alliance formed by these creatures and the Resistors was incredibly strong, unknowingly annihilating the Soul Devourer army. These bodies shattered in the lava and disappeared entirely after a short while.

Consciousness wafted everywhere, some already disintegrated, some still intact, but they no longer had a host body.

Unlike the Resistors, who retained their original forms, the Soul Devourers had long lost human shape through mutual devouring, their host bodies were bizarre, and after being engulfed by the lava this time, they couldn’t form new bodies, leaving them as wandering consciousness.

At that moment, Sol snapped back to reality, realizing he had been chatting aimlessly with the Soul Devourer Master, overlooking the events unfolding around him!

It was terrifying. Sol felt he had been too careless, but fortunately, it was the enemy’s Soul Devourer army that got eradicated. Had it been the Resistors, he would be heartbroken and unable to forgive himself.

The Soul Devourer army was annihilated just like that, their huge advantage reduced to nothing!

Sol glanced at the Soul Devourer Master, thinking he would be utterly shocked at this moment as those were his subordinates!

Then, to Sol’s surprise, it happened again.

The Soul Devourer Master’s ordinary face showed not a shred of surprise, nor any sign of regret!

”Don’t you care at all, these are your subordinates...”

”No, they’re merely my tools; there’s an endless supply, you’ve seen it,” the Soul Devourer Master said, raising both hands.

Now the Soul Devourer Master could calmly chat with Sol, as if they weren’t on opposite sides but two friends sparring.

This sent a shiver through Sol; it was eerie. His companions were fiercely fighting the Soul Devourers, yet here he was chatting with the enemy, utterly unaffected by such significant events—it was irresponsible and betrayed his companions’ expectations.

But fortunately, he had come to his senses, and it wasn’t too late.

Yet he couldn’t understand why the Soul Devourer Master seemed completely unconcerned with the current situation, acting utterly nonchalant.

Even if the Soul Devourer Master felt no emotion, how could he not be a bit shocked seeing his subordinates fall like this!

Moreover, these Soul Devourers merely lost their host bodies, and with enough energy, such bodies could be conjured; with the Soul Devourer Master’s power, he could indeed do it.

Could it be... Sol suddenly thought of a strategy, though he didn’t know if the Soul Devourer Master had the same idea.

His companions, the Resistors, were gradually approaching this area, and the original lava was being slowly digested by the Flame Demon.

Those shattered Soul Devourer bodies were scattered all around... when his companions fully approached, if that Soul Devourer Master raised both hands, wouldn’t the resurrected Soul Devourer army surround his companions completely?

It was a perfect plan! At least, Sol thought so.

By surrounding them completely, there’d be no need to exert so much effort searching anew; capturing them all at once, what a strategy!

Sol shivered again, knowing that Resistors weren’t so easily defeated, but if everyone gathered together, many people’s strengths would be hard to utilize...

He knew his companions were slowly approaching to encircle the Soul Devourer Master, trying to lessen his current burden, but his companions didn’t know the Soul Devourer Master had the power to resurrect the Soul Devourers!

Sol felt that at this moment, he had to intervene, he had to warn his companions, to avoid falling into the Soul Devourer Master’s trap!

He needed to transmit this information through Lightning Thunder, enabling every Resistor to feel it. But sending it would require energy, and the Soul Devourer Master’s energy was restraining him, preventing him from disseminating the information.

Shouting to convey information was slow; few Resistors engrossed in battle would listen, and in such noisy surroundings, sound propagation faced resistance.

But he couldn’t just watch his companions fall into the Soul Devourer Master’s bait!

So Sol made a decision, to transmit the information first, even if in the process he got hit by the Soul Devourer Master’s Energy Light Ball, he’d endure it. Taking some damage was better than letting everyone fall into a dire situation.

As long as they weren’t surrounded, they’d still have a chance to find a hiding spot in the Border Realm.

But once surrounded, everything would get much worse; his power alone couldn’t teleport so many people away...

Sol ceased his attack, an unexpected change that made the Soul Devourer Master uncomfortable, as he was about to hurl an Energy Ball at Sol’s lightning, but Sol unexpectedly stopped, catching him off guard, forcing him to retract the energy abruptly.

Sol was puzzled by the Soul Devourer Master’s behavior, doing something so out of the norm. Why would he pass up such an opening, he had been ready to escape!

Nonetheless, it gave Sol the chance to relay the information.

Sol’s Lightning Thunder imprinted every Resistor, through which he disseminated the message. He sent out this consciousness via Lightning Transmission, a highly efficient method only possible in the Border Realm as here everything was consciousness, using lightning as a medium.

All Resistors slowed their advance upon receiving the message, respecting their leader’s command, awaiting further instructions.

The Soul Devourer Master looked around calmly, ”Why are you Resistors acting so strangely, just now charging angrily, and now retreating?”
