One-Eyed Monster

In the eyes of the Soul Devourer Master, this Border Realm has only two forces: one is his own side, and the other is anyone not on his side.

So there is no third force here.

Therefore, he was quite puzzled by Sol’s words. He still felt that these Resistors were a bit too overconfident, thinking that bringing some reinforcements could lead him to destroy himself – this was simply too presumptuous.

Just the few Resistors, he truly didn’t take them seriously. His strength needs no explanation, and he has so many Soul Devourers under his control, how could he possibly fail!

Sol’s power is strong, but absolutely poses no threat to him. He is the Soul Devourer Master, with plenty of Soul Devourers to devour at his disposal; the entire Border Realm is his!

The Soul Devourer Master fell into a state of madness, seemingly shocked by his own strength. He always wanted to flaunt his power, but in the end didn’t manage to show it off to others and instead was mesmerized by himself. If possible, he truly would like to praise himself.

What a pity, he’s a bit busy right now, otherwise he really would praise himself.

He accelerated his offensive again, intending to show these Resistors who truly rules this Border Realm.

Sol and the others somewhat anticipated this change, showing little signs of panic…

The Resistors have long battled these Soul Devourers, and are quite familiar with their weaknesses. Initially, they thought the ultimate showdown would be against the entire Soul Devourer army, but now they realize that, in the eyes of this Master, the army is nothing but a tool for his command. Now the Resistors are facing opponents akin to zombies: emotionless, rigid movements, ignorant of fear and pain…

Such opponents are tough to deal with because even if their bodies are shattered, they’ll continue executing the Master’s orders, even if only a lingering thought remains, they’ll keep controlling a broken shell to attack…

Ultimately, the Resistors found they are still up against that Soul Devourer Master.

The Master is within the Soul Devourer army, and only the Resistor leader can directly confront him now.

Yet they are quite puzzled, why does this Master seem so calm?

Most Resistors are on the outskirts of the Sea of Fire, separated by countless Soul Devourers, unable to hear the conversation between the Soul Devourer Master and the leader. Thus, they don’t know that their leader often shrugs because he scoffs at the Soul Devourer Master’s theories.

In Sol’s eyes, they are merely outsiders in this Border Realm where there have always been other forces.

He scoffs at the Soul Devourer Master’s term.

The monsters in this Border Realm are indeed a force, a force always existing, yet the Soul Devourer Master continuously overlooks it.

These monsters have been devoured and driven by the Soul Devourers, treated as pets, and due to this reckless behavior, they’ve long harbored hostility towards the Soul Devourers.

Whereas the Resistors, led by Sol, always revered those monsters, avoiding provoking them, even if conflict arises, it ends quickly without being ruthless...

Therefore, those monsters held similar views towards the Resistors.

How you treat me is how I treat you; these monsters are fair, never using their superior strength to bully, adhering to the simplest survival rules, striving to be strong...

However, the Soul Devourers shattered their habitat, distorting the natural order…

So the animosity towards these Soul Devourers runs deep.

When the Resistors singularly launched an attack on these Soul Devourers, the monsters felt satisfied as never before, deciding they should join too.

Thus, they emerged from concealment and attacked the Soul Devourers!

While attacking, the attackers realized the Soul Devourers fled without looking back. Initially, they thought they had intimidated them, but later realized the Soul Devourers were running in a specific direction, with unified actions, as if following orders.

Afterwards, the monsters ready to rest found the attacking Resistors also heading in that direction...

At that moment, the monsters sensed something was amiss.

They looked closely in that direction, seeing the sky ablaze with immense commotion!

The Border Realm’s commotion isn’t uncommon, but one involving both Resistors and Soul Devourers, what could that be?

Curiosity drove the monsters to start moving toward that direction.

The last time they moved like this was when that strange youth arrived…

Apparently, there was that strange youth’s energy in that direction too. Unconsciously, the monsters hastened their pace!

Then, the monsters finally saw something quite extraordinary!

What a scene, all those Soul Devourer bastards gathered together, causing such commotion. Are they preparing to suppress them? That won’t do, they must show those bastards what’s what!

The Flame Demon, ever fiery, unleashed flame at the Soul Devourers, channeling all his rage into the fire. This flame caused the initially calm Sea of Fire to surge again.

Whoosh – roar – the flame seemed to revive suddenly, once again dancing on the ground, …

The Soul Devourer Master was bewildered; he hadn’t seen Sol release this energy!

Then the Soul Devourer Master saw countless stones falling from the sky!

Could Sol control another elemental force?!

While baffled, the Soul Devourer Master saw a flowing figure suddenly dive into the Sea of Fire, punching and kicking at a group of Soul Devourers!

What the hell! The Soul Devourer Master finally saw clearly.

This was the Sand People’s attack! When did these monsters become so bold to attack Soul Devourers!

The Flame Demon, Sand People, Stone Monster… the appearance of these monsters startled the Resistors, and then they found the monsters madly attacking the Soul Devourers with great excitement.

This counts as a silent alliance!

The arrival of monsters boosted the Resistors’ morale again!

”I’ve always said, you’ve been mistaken. It’s not just us Resistors who hate you all!” Sol continued to shrug, increasing his own rhythm of unleashing shackles…

…The Soul Devourer Master was perplexed, very confused now!
