One-Eyed Monster

The Soul Devourer Master finally understood what the third faction Sol was referring to.

These monsters, whom he considered mere possessions of the Soul Devourer, dared to rebel against the Soul Devourer!

Is there no justice in this world!

These monsters have always lived under his oppression, knowing early on the terrifying extent of his strength, so how could they turn around to attack them!

The Soul Devourer Master had not paid attention to the previous chaos at the Border Realm; he always thought Igor was an Agent of Destruction, which was why he was so surprised.

He always believed that these monsters, like the Soul Devourers, should submit to him, obedient and compliant under his martial force.

However, he did not know that the reason the Soul Devourers were limited by him was because he had seized the weaknesses of these Soul Devourers, their greed to return to their original forms. He could fulfill this greed for them, which is why he could use these Soul Devourers. Of course, his formidable strength was also a prerequisite. But in front of these monsters, he didn’t have such an advantage. Even if your strength is awe-inspiring to monsters, they won’t fear you, because the rule of the Border Realm is the respect of the strong, and monsters don’t have the greed like the Soul Devourers do. The Soul Devourer Master cannot tether them with a single thread, so even if these monsters are ridden by Soul Devourers, they won’t completely submit, compelled under the force, they would resist whenever they could!

Therefore, these monsters naturally allied with the Resistors at this moment...

The Soul Devourer Master didn’t understand this rationale. His entire consciousness might only contain two concepts: one is that formidable strength can crush everything, and the other is that formidable strength must be shown off.

But even if these monsters and the Resistors now unite, attacking the Soul Devourer army with all their might, the Soul Devourer Master would not fear. He knew his strength; the only one who could defeat him was himself.

The things that bother him don’t linger for long; as a paradoxical existence, he knew early on that forgetting can expedite his journey.

He wouldn’t carry the bothersome things with him all along, because he wants to move forward, ultimately to conquer a world, and he can’t let a bit of qualm ruin the whole plan.

”So this is your capital, huh? A bunch of ragtag pulling in another bunch of ragtag, and then think you have the ability of heaven?”

The Soul Devourer Master’s sarcastic words were still harsh, but Igor and the others were long used to it. The unexpected situations occurring repeatedly filled Igor with surprise and delight. He never imagined that these monsters would also come here to help them fight against the Soul Devourers!

”Victory is within reach!” Igor couldn’t help but shout.

”Don’t be too happy, always stay vigilant, the opponent is the Soul Devourer Master!” Shana immediately threw a cold bucket of water on Igor.

”The only one familiar with the Soul Devourer Master here is the lord of the alliance; we can’t act recklessly. We can’t help the lord, but we also can’t distract the lord.” The Mos Brothers said.

”Uh...” Igor smacked his lips, feeling ashamed of his rashness, then secretly vowed to do something, to help Sol somehow.

The Soul Devourer Master’s strength is indeed formidable, but he must have weaknesses too. He doesn’t believe that so many people can’t deal with this Soul Devourer Master.

There must be something worth paying attention to...

Igor thus began his journey of observation.

Now, this Soul Devourer Master is still arguing with Sol.

It’s not really a dispute; it’s mostly the Soul Devourer Master complaining incessantly, while Sol merely patronizes him.

”Why do you people not understand, quantity means nothing here. This is the Border Realm, it’s all about energy!”

”The accumulation of quantity can lead to qualitative change; this principle is quite simple actually.” At that moment, Sol suddenly took up a teaching position.

”But here in the Border Realm, a large quantity is useless!” The Soul Devourer Master did not realize he himself was using quantity to overwhelm others. The great number of Soul Devourers formed an army here, and yet he couldn’t see it, still saying that quantity is useless.

Sol didn’t want to waste too many words; his interest in instructing was spur of the moment. Being around the Soul Devourer Master sometimes made him unable to resist giving a lesson or two, which was unavoidable.

Because this Soul Devourer Master always exaggeratedly displayed his ignorance, this obvious manner made people subconsciously want to correct him...

”You all are always mired in such futile struggles; I cannot comprehend!” The Soul Devourer Master was very puzzled.

”It is not us who struggle; it is you who are always mistaken.” Sol couldn’t resist, said once more.

”Mistaken? You think you can leave this place?” The Soul Devourer Master found it absurd, clearly controlling everything here, yet these people said he was mistaken.

As the Soul Devourer Master boasted arrogantly, a wave of heat suddenly pervaded throughout the Sea of Fire, and the zombies-like Soul Devourers let out a series of strange cries, seemingly in struggle and in resistance!

Looking closely, beyond the sea of fire, the Flame Demon was spewing lava into the air, while Torres, with his dead fish eyes, rode the wind; Torres could control the Wind Elemental, enveloping those lavas with wind, delivering them to various places, greatly damaging the shells of the Soul Devourers.

Previously, the attacks from the monsters were area-based and non-specific, but now the Resistors collaborated with these monsters, and the monsters seemed pleased upon seeing the Soul Devourers getting thrashed, releasing more and more of their energy.

The shells of the Soul Devourers hit were already utterly destroyed, and although the Soul Devourers could quickly form new shells, the Resistors seemed to aim for this moment; once the shells were destroyed, the consciousness of these Soul Devourers was scattered by the Resistors!

The process was seamless, as if trained.

The scattered consciousness immediately turned into lingering thoughts. Even if devoured, it would take some time. With the cooperation between the monsters and Resistors now, these Soul Devourers wouldn’t have time to stand back up...

”See, you were always mistaken, a ragtag group can’t achieve such coordination.”

”This is indeed unexpected, but this still doesn’t prove that the words were correct.” The Soul Devourer Master was very agitated at this moment. He always felt that his assumptions were constantly negated, and what was happening was never as he imagined!
