I AM the Football Star

Chapter 197: Chapter 76: Refuse to Yield? Then Bring It On—Sports Star vs. Music Star

Unlike Brescia, although Benevento is also a top team in Serie B, their current situation is a bit more complicated.

They are ranked in the top three of the Italian Second Division, but this result is not secure, and it does not reflect their true strength.

Benevento brought in several players during the summer, some of whom have adapted well, while others have not. Additionally, some players in their original lineup have shown a noticeable drop in form this season.

As a result, they have yet to determine their starting lineup.

Including Vedian, who only started five times in the past thirteen matches and was substituted in all of them after seventy minutes. He appeared as a substitute six times and missed being on the match roster twice.

A third of the season has passed, yet Benevento still hasn’t found their fixed lineup.

So, for this Italian Cup match, most of the players they chose for the lineup should have the strength to start in Serie B, even including some top players in Serie B.

They want to use these matches to determine their main lineup moving forward.

This is much better than Brescia’s approach of selecting two or three key players from a group of substitutes.

So when the match list was released, San Remo’s fans were generally worried.

If previously it was a low-profile Serie B team, then this time Benevento is a high-profile Serie B team; the difference is significant.

Can San Remo continue to advance?

...

The day after the match ended, the team had a day off.

Early in the morning, Sofia knocked on Lu Yang’s door.

Today, the two of them were going out to do something important.

Driving Sofia’s Porsche 911, they quickly arrived at a uniquely designed standalone building.

”This is the closest high-end recording studio to San Remo that I could find,” Sophia explained as she walked in with Lu Yang.

Indeed, they came for a recording session today.

Sofia’s new movie, ”The Invisible Guest,” was arranging various release matters, but the theme song was still undecided.

For some movies, the theme song doesn’t seem to have much significance.

However, there are many movies that became popular or even classics because of their theme song.

Previously, for this theme song, Sofia almost got into trouble with that trash Kubo.

After looking around, Sofia was instead enchanted by a tune Lu Yang hummed one evening during a candlelit dinner with her.

Right then, Sofia decided; it had to be this song.

Lu Yang wanted to refuse at the time: ”No, this song is from ’Leon’.”

”What Lyon? The Ligue 1 team?” Sofia asked, puzzled. What does this man understand besides football?

Wait, he doesn’t even understand ”football”!

Otherwise...how does he still not know the source of the milky aroma on his sunglasses?

”No, no...” Lu Yang couldn’t explain; he couldn’t tell her it’s the theme song of ”The Professional” since the movie didn’t exist here.

”Lu, I really like this song, it fits my requirements perfectly.” Sofia clung to Lu Yang’s arm, shaking it constantly, making Lu Yang feel like his sleeve was about to wear out.

No man can resist a woman’s coquettishness.

If there is one, it’s definitely because ”the two of them” weren’t forceful enough.

So in the end, Lu Yang could only record ”Shape of My Heart” with Sofia.

Sofia’s manager had already arranged the recording studio reservations and the like.

The advantage of having money is not needing to do some trivial things yourself, but of course, it also makes them lack some ability to handle troubles. There are gains and losses.

”Relax, the singing difficulty of this song isn’t particularly high, and you... are really suitable for it!” Sofia encouraged Lu Yang as he entered the recording studio.

Sofia could have found a more professional singer to perform this song.

But after hearing Lu Yang sing, Sofia stated that nobody else was needed.

Whether in tone, pitch, or emotional interaction with the song and lyrics, Lu Yang performed exceptionally well.

”He doesn’t seem nervous.” Beside him, in charge of this recording, was a famous musician invited by Sofia, Anna, who had participated in producing many albums for popular European and American stars.

Her fees were high, and she was very selective about her work.

If it weren’t for Sofia’s name, she might not have taken this job because she mainly worked in the United States this past year.

This also reflects Anna’s career progression.

Many countries have music that is popular worldwide, but the largest numbers and greatest viral potential undeniably belong to the American music scene. So she went to the United States to further elevate her status in the industry.

She previously worked with several American world-class pop singers consecutively.

”He deals the cards as a meditation, And those he plays never suspect...”

Lu Yang started singing.

Anna nodded while commenting to Sofia outside, ”He is very natural and composed. He is a steady big boy with impressive fundamentals; his tempo is very precise.”

”In fact, the difficulty with this song lies in its subtle timing...”

As Lu Yang’s singing continued, Anna gradually stopped her commentary.

But her expression could explain everything.

Because she subconsciously opened her mouth wide.

After the first recording ended, the first thing Anna did after taking off her headphones was to press Sofia’s shoulder excitedly and say, ”My God! Where did you find this kid? He’s simply a budding star!”
