I AM the Football Star

Chapter 155: Chapter 60: Sofia and Lu Yang Work Late Every Night

”Even Morici, in terms of mentality, is a notch below Lu Yang. In every game, Lu Yang aims solely for victory, even when he knows no one can win forever!”

This is a naive yet seasoned mindset.

It is an embodiment of idealism, yet also an essential part of empiricism.

Loving life is not great, what’s great is continuing to love life even after seeing its cruel nature!

...

”Ding! For your first victory as a left-back in the Italian Third Division, you receive a random gift pack*1. For your hat-trick, you receive a random gift pack*1.”

”Ding! You have acquired the Player-level skill, Offensive Fullback. Your ability to move up and down the wing will be stronger, and you will become more skilled in wing attack and crossing.”

”Ding! You have acquired the Star-level skill, C Luo backheel flick! Young C Luo had flashy dribbling, but as he matured, he opted for a more efficient way of dribbling. C Luo’s backheel flick seems simple, yet it’s quite sudden, effectively allowing players to bypass opponents and create shooting space!”

The series of dings left Lu Yang feeling delighted.

As a result, Lu Yang’s data for offensive positioning, dribbling, ball control, long pass, and tight ball-handling all increased slightly.

Standing on the newly replaced grass in Sofia’s yard, he began practicing the backheel flick he just learned.

He had grasped the essentials of these technical moves, and his body had naturally adapted to them with the system’s assistance, but in a match, the timing and detail control must be adjusted by the player personally.

There are plenty of players who are familiar with various techniques off the field but find it challenging to showcase them during a game.

”You’ve learned a new move again?” Morici, standing nearby, commented sourly about Lu Yang’s progress.

Clearly, he had contributed two assists in the last game, yet why was he still being criticized as rubbish by those so-called professional media?

Morici wouldn’t be jealous of Lu Yang, but he didn’t want to keep getting bashed, either.

Honestly, the Italian media have started to see Morici as a future national team midfield core, and their expectations of him are extremely high.

Not only should he play with layers, but it also must be aesthetically pleasing.

Not only should he regulate the midfield, but he should also initiate deadly through passes.

Not only should he assist, ideally, he should also be able to score.

Not only should his individual stats be impressive, but he should also lead the team to victory.

Truthfully, someone who can achieve all this, would they still be in San Remo, an Italian Third Division team?

Wouldn’t they have been snapped up by major clubs long ago?

At this moment, Lu Yang timely coughed.

Xiaomo, did you forget about that who?

Such an outstanding, powerful, handsome, and invincible player is right by your side!

”Is it strange that I learned a new move? My learning ability is quite strong,” Lu Yang said.

”True that, considering you’ve been under the same roof as Sofia these past few days, it’s not surprising she taught you some sporting postures,” Morici quipped jealously.

Sofia has been staying in San Remo for several days now, can you believe it!

According to media reports, the two stayed indoors in the villa for three whole days.

My goodness!

Is Lu Yang still playing soccer or not?

Can his body handle it?

”You guessed wrong; actually, I’m teaching Sofia!” Lu Yang laughed.

Morici was thunderstruck.

You’ve changed, Lu, you’ve changed!

You weren’t this cheeky before!

Morici left the training field holding the football sadly; the sky was getting dark, and the aroma of food from the villa was already wafting out, but he knew it was time for him to scram.

Otherwise, Sofia would again extend an invite for dinner like the day before, only without preparing him cutlery.

Sofia only has chopsticks at home, can you believe it!

The message is pretty obvious.

Morici is not welcomed here.

Just as Sofia said, ”I can let you have Lu during the day, but before nightfall, you must return him to me, as I don’t want to be with Lu Yang till too late every day.”

Heaven and earth bear witness, these were Sofia’s exact words!

”Not staying for a bit to eat?” Lu Yang tried to keep Morici; he felt his good friend was acting strange the past two days, was he hit by the media’s comments?

It shouldn’t be, this guy had five assists, and he’s leading the Italian Third Division’s assist chart in Lanbo Bay!

”No, I’m not used to Chinese cuisine,” Morici turned away with tears.

Who the heck doesn’t like Chinese food?

He’s just being forced!

”Then you’re missing out, Sofia recently learned to make steamed lamb, steamed bear paws, steamed venison, roast duck, and roast goose...” As Lu Yang spoke, Morici walked away without looking back, leaving only dusty tears behind.

The dinner was very pleasant that evening.

Sofia would talk to Lu Yang about her upcoming plans.

Like the post-production of the film, which includes editing and a small amount of special effects work, as well as promotional arrangements, which would undoubtedly involve some publicity events.

And Lu Yang, in turn, would share with Sofia some of his new insights on the field, some experiences not brought about by the system but learned by himself.

Including, but not limited to, preventing the opposing forward by tugging on the opponent’s shirt, to stop them from turning and passing you.

After dinner, the two got down to serious work.

Every night for the past few days, they would work late into the night on the promo draft.

Lu Yang guided Sofia.

”This poster, I think we should highlight the number of plot twists... forty-three twists in total, meticulous plot, it’s the world’s first film with so many... yes, just word it that way...”

Lu Yang and Sofia sat on the sofa, fiddling with a computer.

”But... what if another film has more twists than we do? Wouldn’t that be false advertising?” Sofia was worried, what if someone nitpicked?

As she spoke, she leaned forward, seemingly engrossed in the computer but actually leaving her chest exposed.

In fact, to achieve her goal, she had just sneakily taken off her bra and tossed it into the dishwashing sink while washing dishes!

”Just apologize if that’s the case. At least among the movies we’ve tallied, ours has the most twists. It’s no big deal; it might even spark public discussion, boosting the film’s popularity,” Lu Yang, noticing Sofia delayed in pressing the keyboard, snatched the computer and helped Sofia with the writing.

Sofia had been bending over for quite a while, better not let her get tired.

”Um, Lu... sometimes you don’t have to be so invested in my work... you can also take it easier and discover other beautiful things around you...” Sofia nudged Lu Yang with her chest.

But Lu Yang elbowed Sofia aside, meaning she was pinning his hand and hindering his typing.

”Don’t worry, Sofia, this is our first project together; it’s like the crystallization of our wisdom. I want it to face the world in the best possible state,” Lu Yang said while writing, ”Moreover, the film holds significant meaning for you, and I don’t want any mistakes.”

Sofia, beside him, was moved to tears.

Initially, Lu Yang’s elbowing of Sofia’s chest made her feel a bit mad and hurt.

Any girl would feel deeply hurt if the man she fancies shows no interest in her body.

But, unexpectedly, Lu Yang’s words afterward were so heartfelt.

Those words didn’t seem crafted, as Lu Yang was busy doing more writing.

It had to be Lu Yang’s most sincere thoughts.

For a moment, Sofia was emotionally complex.

You couldn’t say this man was bad to her.

From scriptwriting to filming, from editing advice to promo drafting, Lu Yang’s involvement was significant, no less than Sofia’s concerns.

What can Lu Yang gain from it?

Salary?

Reputation?

Credentials?

None!

Only Sofia’s love.

”I’ve pampered you too much, Lu!” Sofia said.

”Huh?” Lu Yang was puzzled.

”I’ve pampered you with my help until I could become dependent on you!” Sofia said, though her inner subtext was about pampering him to ignore her alluring and hot figure!

These peach-shaped hips, this A4 waist, these voluminous waves, these flaming red lips... Lu, you’re really squandering gifts!

Sofia didn’t find a chance all night and instead fell asleep next to Lu Yang.

The next morning, when she woke up, she heard noises coming from the kitchen.

Was Lu Yang making breakfast?

This man is really nice.

Wait... wait... her underwear was still... in the dishwashing sink?
