I AM the Football Star

Chapter 156: Chapter 61: Milky Sunglasses, San Remo’s Left Corridor 1.0

”Ah! Don’t go in!”

Sofia suddenly jumped up from the sofa and rushed into the kitchen.

”You’re awake? You’ve been cooking for a few days now, so today I’ll make you breakfast.” Lu Yang said while wiping the table and pointed to the sandwiches and vegetable salad beside him, ”There, take this to the dining table, I’ll join you after I finish wiping here.”

Sofia smiled awkwardly and stealthily walked to the sink.

Huh... Strange, where has my underwear gone?

In the next moment, her gaze stopped on Lu Yang’s hand.

Then, a blush instantly surged on her face.

The ”rag” Lu Yang was using to wipe was actually not a rag, but her... bra!

Probably because of its relatively unique shape, not a traditional bra, Lu Yang didn’t recognize it at first.

After all, some underwear designs are hard to identify as underwear unless they’re seen on a girl.

Just that little scrap of fabric, little broken string, what can it cover!

Sofia nervously went to the dining table holding the tray.

Lu Yang came over shortly after.

”Your household rags don’t seem to be of good quality.” Lu Yang remarked.

”Ah?” Sofia mumbled quietly, not daring to say anything because this was too embarrassing.

”The texture isn’t comfortable, it doesn’t absorb water well, and isn’t very effective for wiping. Next time I’ll recommend a brand to you, one that’s much more useful.” Lu Yang said while picking up chopsticks, then noticed a fragrance on his hand, smelled it, and said, ”But, the fragrance on your rag is quite pleasant.”

”It has a... how to describe it... a milky scent!”

Pfft!

Sofia almost sprayed coffee on Lu Yang’s face.

”What’s wrong? Are you choking?” Lu Yang asked worriedly, quickly handing her a napkin.

”No... It’s nothing.” Sofia shook her head, but inside she had a sudden revelation.

Turns out Lu Yang likes scents that have a milky aroma... Um, that seems to be a breakthrough point.

Finally, after breakfast, Lu Yang went to the team for training.

There’s a match tomorrow.

As Lu Yang headed out, Sofia handed him a pair of sunglasses, a small gift she brought back from Spain.

Reflective surface, aviator style, they made him look really cool, Lu Yang liked them very much.

But for some reason, Lu Yang felt that these sunglasses had a nice milky scent.

So Lu Yang decided that he wouldn’t lend these sunglasses to anyone; they were just for himself!

...

September 24th, Italian Third Division, sixth round match day.

San Remo was playing away against Femana.

Femana is a traditional strong team in the Italian Third Division, having entered the promotion zone twice in the past five years but unfortunately couldn’t achieve promotion either time.

They’re known for their exceptionally stable defense, having conceded the fewest goals among teams in the Italian Third Division last year.

Today’s match posed a great challenge for San Remo.

Because it’s widely known, the San Remo team’s attacking system hasn’t been fully developed yet.

Whistle blows, game begins.

In the first twenty minutes, San Remo played rather chaotically because Femana’s interception ability was very strong, and even their forwards would occasionally retreat to press, making it difficult for San Remo’s midfield to hold onto the ball.

Even Morici was only able to stabilize the situation without effectively organizing the team’s play.

In fact, the external media’s evaluation of Morici is quite accurate.

When it comes to organizing the game, Morici isn’t considered top-notch.

Compared to those midfield geniuses who can make the game flow smoothly like water once they receive the ball, Morici does have a gap.

Even Sotu and Maniero acknowledge this.

But the reason they’re fond of Morici lies in their judgment of future football.

Modern football has become increasingly disciplined, and the personal abilities of players have also strengthened. Through the team’s fixed coordination, players can already create decent offensive threats.

In this situation, what does the team need?

Does it need a player who can stabilize the game and organize attacks?

Yes, but it’s not a must.

Because according to their expectations, once players’ professional standards improve universally in the future, even without a game organizer, the team’s offense will flow smoothly, and all players, including center-backs, will have basic control abilities.

At this time, the team needs more a genius passer who can offset the flaws in fixed tactical offense!

That is, the person who delivers the killer pass.

And to deliver that killer pass, solid passing fundamentals are essential.

Strong ball control and evasion skills are also very important.

But most importantly, it’s boundless imagination and super-fast passing ability.

Only with this, can a fixed attack instantly transform into a genius’s deadly strike.

Only then can you catch the opponent’s fleeting flaw.

Faster!

Extremely fast!

Pass extremely fast!

But speed has never been a necessity for midfield players in the current football world.

This is why Morici isn’t favored by today’s football experts.

Based on current and past football standards, Morici is somewhat of a specialist, lacking stability.

If he can’t stabilize, the team can’t stabilize.

However, if in future football, everyone can stabilize, then Morici becomes the most suitable one.

He’s not considered a top-tier midfield commander, but he is indeed a super transition and accelerator between attack and defense!

He’s an engine destined for a supercar! Only a Galaxy Battleship-level team can harness his maximum power!
