I AM the Football Star

Chapter 190: Chapter 73: The Italian Cup Needs a Miracle_3

”Cup Competition Outlook: Which Team will Fall at the Feet of San Remo Next?”

After the second round of the Italian Cup, a media storm erupted.

For media workers, this is somewhat abrupt.

The extent of this media coverage is almost equivalent to what would typically occur around the fourth round of the cup.

Evidently, someone is fanning the flames behind the scenes.

But fans don’t mind, as long as you’re willing to hype it up, they’re willing to watch.

Listening to such enthusiastic articles, watching them can be considered a pastime.

Everyone may not believe everything inside, but at least there’s an added sense of understanding.

In fact, situations where official media praise teams like this are not uncommon.

Often, some small teams play a few good matches and inexplicably get major news coverage. Behind this, there is the team’s own publicity, but also official support.

Everyone wants to see the plot of an underdog team’s comeback.

In theory, the football association is very willing to support underdog teams.

However, very few of these small teams can truly become dark horses and progress to the later rounds.

Under widespread attention, Sotu as the head coach and the most prominent figure of the team, accepted an exclusive interview with Live Football Report’s special correspondent Hans.

Hans: There is a team whose average age is reasonable, but actually most of their players are under twenty years old and those over thirty.

Last season, they suffered from a wave of injuries, with eleven players missing more than three matches due to injuries!

This season, their core players have also suffered serious injuries.

But under such circumstances, they reversed against direct competitors in the last match of last season to win the Italian D Division championship. This season, they are currently second in the Serie B standings, poised to achieve a promoted team miracle.

They also eliminated Serie B powerhouse Brescia in the second round of the Italian Cup.

Today, let’s get to know San Remo, the ”legend that is setting sail!”

Today, we invite the famous butcher of Italian football and current San Remo head coach, Sotu. Hello Sotu, San Remo has been quite turbulent recently, can you tell us about it?

Sotu: Of course. Recently, our team’s core suffered... This almost broke us. I believe everyone can see that our subsequent games were really a struggle. But as I said, Lu Yang is an extraordinary player, he can be at any position you need and complete any task you set.

After some adjustments, I think we’ve found the right path... We’re very confident about the upcoming fixtures. Whether it’s the league or the cup, we’ll do our best.

As for our goals this season... I once told the players of San Remo, the most important thing I can give them is not tactics, not playing techniques, not even football philosophy, but... the championship gene!

San Remo has the championship gene, we play only for the championship!

This interview is exceptionally exciting.

All fans of San Remo are almost going crazy with happiness.

This is San Remo. We play only for the championship!

Similarly, these words also imply that San Remo has bigger ambitions in the Italian Cup.

This has invigorated the entire Italian football community.

Some people admire Sotu’s spirit because a professional player should never lose their desire for a championship, even in the D League or Third Division.

Others think Sotu is getting arrogant, having only beaten a substitute lineup of Brescia, acting as if they defeated a giant club.

These people banter back and forth on social media, having quite a joyful exchange.

And these discussions have become the buzz around the Italian Cup, making many people interested in this year’s Italian Cup.

The value of the Italian Cup competition is invisibly increasing.

Perhaps after this season ends, looking back, people will realize that who won the championship wasn’t that important; the important thing is that this year’s Italian Cup was filled with so many topics and expectations, it was so legendary!

And this is exactly the result Martivini wants.
