I AM the Football Star

Chapter 152: Chapter 59: A Player Who Brings Team Chemistry Is Priceless (Part 2)

If Lu Yang tries to score, the shot is very likely to be blocked by the wall.

There are too many people here.

At this time, whether Lu Yang chooses to shoot or cross, neither is the best option.

Perhaps passing it to the midfielder Morici for redistribution is more rational.

However...

Bang!

In the midst of cutting inside, Lu Yang, when he had the space to shoot, surprisingly opted for a cross.

The right-back Feipi quickly turned to keep an eye on the ball.

The ball is quite high, missing the near post.

Sogel and the center-back are scrambling for the ball... wait, can’t reach it either? Was this a misplaced cross?

This technique isn’t great.

But this is only what he sees.

Feipi’s left center-back and left-back actually saw it more clearly.

Because the ball flew over their heads, then dropped towards the far post.

The left-back was already where the center-back should be, but what about the player he was originally marking?

Bang!

Young Fernandez leapt high in the air, in an unguarded situation, reached for the ball at the far post, and headed it towards the goal.

The angle wasn’t big, but there was no interference.

The ball slipped precisely into the net, effortlessly!

Fernandez went wild with excitement, waving his arms and legs, rushing towards Lu Yang.

In fact, from the third game onwards, Fernandez lost his starting position.

But the last game saw the team suffer heavily, and San Remo’s right-winger was not recovering smoothly after an injury last season, so Fernandez started again in this match.

And he seized the opportunity.

”Two to zero! San Remo is playing football different from the previous matches.”

”Lu Yang with one assist and one goal, he’s truly creating a chemical reaction in the team!”

”We can see that although Bai Zhami can’t cooperate perfectly with Lu Yang, he can use his positioning and threat to help Lu Yang, which is another way to integrate with the team.”

”Lu Yang plays so smoothly on the flank; crucially, he is a left-back who dares to cut inside. To some extent, this makes Feipi have to defend two left-wingers! Their right side is really struggling!”

”Lu Yang’s choice to cross was very clever. Everyone thought he was going for a cross, but he surprising targeted the far post!”

”This cross was very precise; it seems Lu Yang is really adapting to the work of a left-back, and his passing has improved.”

”Fernandez scores, this player previously lacked confidence; hopefully, this goal can help him find his form.”

Two to zero!

San Remo fans clutch their chests, is their first victory in the Italian Third Division coming? Is happiness really knocking on their door?

Soon, they found their answer.

Yes!

Last two minutes of the first half.

Latu Yidi completes a steal and gives the ball to Morici.

Morici avoids the opponent’s pressing and passes to Lu Yang.

Lu Yang pushes forward, the opponent doesn’t dare to rashly attack, opting for a defensive formation.

In the last two minutes, the team without the ball will certainly play safe, shrinking the defense; not conceding is the first priority, counter-attacking is the second.

”Bottom cross!” Lu Yang acts like he’s going to pass to Bai Zhami again.

The Feipi’s right-back is really exhausted.

He knows that Lu Yang most likely will not pass; he can tell that Lu Yang never intended to play any foot coordination with Bai Zhami.

It’s all verbal coordination, with nine times false and one time true, oh spit... it’s nine fake one true.

But team tactics require this right-back to guard against the bottom cross, so even if he knows Bai Zhami may not receive the ball, he has to follow.

And indeed, he guessed correctly.

Lu Yang cuts inside again with the ball; Feipi has only one midfielder who can barely defend against Lu Yang now.

He performs a Rabona-level Divine Dragon Tail, breezing past the opponent like crossing an early morning road.

Then again from just now’s position, he swings his foot for a cross.

This time everyone is guarding the far post.

Even the center-back is fighting for position, failing to defend.

As if everyone assumed Lu Yang would definitely cross.

But... to be fair, is the title of Crown Prince of Purple Lily just a joke?

Doesn’t his dignified title not deserve unlimited firing rights?

Bang!

Lu Yang fakes a cross and shoots, directly aiming at the near corner of the goal with a spectacular shot.

The ball swoops down, despite the goalkeeper’s reaction, his dive was too slow, and the ball slides into the net beside the goalkeeper’s knees.

Three to zero!

Lu Yang strikes at the near corner!

”Unbelievable! This is so unbelievable! I think Ferrari Pisa Team’s Head Coach must be stunned, he should immediately complain to the fourth official, San Remo has committed a serious foul!”

”Where’s the foul? Because San Remo has two left-wingers on the field!”

This commentary completely ignited the home fans.

Isn’t Lu Yang just a more-winger-like left-back compared to a left-winger?

In half-time, two goals and one assist, coming and going like the wind, as if in an empty world.

Passing if he wants, shooting if he desires.

San Remo hadn’t fought such a tough battle in a long time!

”Lu Yang! Lu Yang! Lu Yang!”

The fans cheered one after another.

And this time during the celebration, Lu Yang even walked to the sideline to interact with Sofia.

In front of everyone, Sofia sent Lu Yang a flying kiss.

Lu Yang smiled softly.

The atmosphere became even more heated.

During the halftime break, Feipi’s side felt somewhat helpless; who could have thought a left-back would surprisingly possess unlimited firing rights? Is Sotu an idiot? Such tactics are simply unreasonable!

Similarly, on the San Remo side, Sotu indeed was not entirely satisfied with the team’s performance either.
