Chapter 41: Chapter 41: The Eerie Girl

After resting for a few minutes, Su Changxing came to the blue screen and found that the contents inside hadn’t changed much from yesterday, just a few tools were missing. In the item column, he found the Speed Enhancement exchange.

A white light shot out from the metal ball, and Su Changxing felt a biting chill spread throughout his body, followed by a faint warmth.

Name: Su Changxing

Power: 4 (Stronger than the average human)

Speed: 4.5 (Far exceeds the average human)

Physique: 3.5 (Stronger than the average human)

Perception: 1 (Something the average human would not possess)

Spirit: 5 (Far above the average human)

Status: Healthy

Evaluation: Your combat power as a human is considered acceptable, but only just acceptable.

This time, the Speed Enhancement only increased by 0.5, but at the same time, Physique also increased by 0.5. It seems the enhancement of Power and Speed led to an increase in Physique.

Acceptable?

”Doesn’t this evaluation overestimate human combat power a bit? My strength is actually just at an acceptable level.”

Su Changxing was a bit puzzled; because he was a Master of Archery, his combat power should be higher than the vast majority of humans.

If it’s described as acceptable, it should also be a level that most people can reach.

Could it be that the evaluation range isn’t limited to the people of this world, but includes humans from other worlds?

”Thinking like this seems reasonable. Our world should be more skewed towards technology, so individual strength is relatively weak, and most people cannot reach the so-called acceptable standard.”

This made Su Changxing have to ponder over the meaning of this Doomsday Game; it surely has some intrinsic meaning. To say something outrageous, it could be a game of the Divine Spirit, and humans are just cricket-like creatures for amusement.

Of course, this is also the most meaningless meaning.

”This is more like raising Gu insects.”

Su Changxing frowned.

What kind of existence could have such a large-scale plan, using a world as a pot for Gu insects and throwing everyone into this world.

He felt a chill in his spine, instinctively looked at the metal ball, even suspecting that someone might be watching him at this moment.

”Thinking about this now is also meaningless. The real problem is still that monster outside; it should leave, right?”

Su Changxing estimated that it shouldn’t be waiting for him here unless the monster was intelligent and knew the mechanisms of the Mysterious Shop.

Taking advantage of this time, he opened the forum to browse the posts, looking for information about this purple monster, but most of what he saw was about the Mysterious Shop and disputes arising from it.

Everyone knew that there was a resource in the Mysterious Shop that could make people stronger, and strength was the fundamental deciding factor for everything.

The forum was in an uproar, as if some kind of feast had begun.

Time passed by the second and minute, getting closer to ten minutes. Su Changxing’s gaze became increasingly sharp, and he had already exchanged a Steel Saber, holding it in hand.

If that monster was indeed waiting for him at the door, with its speed, Su Changxing would have no chance to escape and could only resist.

A flash of white light appeared in front of him, and Su Changxing exhaled in relief. The surroundings were silent, and the monster was not nearby. But after taking just a few steps forward, he saw a girl in a ponytail walking with exaggerated steps.

”Dadada~”

”Where did you go, little cutie?”

She suddenly stopped, turned her head to look at Su Changxing, and with an exaggerated smile, waved a greeting: ”Hi, good evening.”

Su Changxing’s heart raced, and the faint Perception constantly reminded him of the word ”danger.” Even though it was quite dark, he could still make out a circle of blackness around the girl’s eyes, and her lips seemed dark as well.

So what should he do now, run, or...?

Su Changxing forced a stiff smile and nodded: ”What a coincidence, good evening.”

The girl showed a thoughtful expression and affirmed: ”You seem silly, just like someone else.”

Afterwards, she walked forward with exaggerated steps, her waist-length ponytail flicking behind her, disappearing into the Darkness.

Su Changxing exhaled deeply, feeling like his heart couldn’t handle the ups and downs.

It was then that he noticed there wasn’t a single standing Zombie around.

Feeling that the place was very dangerous, he immediately ran back in the direction he came. This feeling was familiar, reminiscent of the building of the Mysterious Shop A0171.

The further he went, the more Zombies there were. Su Changxing had to start using the Shadow Bow to clear away the Zombies ahead, preparing to head to the next estimated location of the Mysterious Shop.

Following the arrangement in an equilateral triangle pattern, he envisioned the location of the next Mysterious Shop in a three-dimensional space in his mind. During the day, he had already familiarized himself with the general surroundings.

This feeling was quite peculiar.

With the flick of a finger, arrows silently pierced through the heads of these Zombies, like flowing light flitting through the night, existing yet subtly moving.

Su Changxing could feel that his shooting skills were continuously improving and drawing closer to being a true Master of Archery. Each arrow was not just an arrow but an extension of his arm.

Su Changxing used his ”arms” to smash open the heads of the Zombies one by one.

Over the course of nearly fifty minutes, Su Changxing had fired over forty arrows, which meant he had killed more than forty Zombies. On average, he was killing one Zombie every minute.

By this time, Su Changxing had seen the light and shadow of the Mysterious Shop amid a group of Zombies, and judging by the number of Zombies, no one had gone to this Mysterious Shop yet.

The previous Mysterious Shop A1713 had fewer Zombies on the street because they had been cleared out, so many people had gone there.

But here, the number of Zombies was large, so no one dared to come here, as few could withstand an onslaught of Zombies.

Su Changxing smiled, satisfied with the situation. In such a Mysterious Shop, it was very likely that even the basic resources hadn’t been exchanged.

After ten more minutes of clearing, he gradually cleared a path to the Mysterious Shop, stepping into the white light and arriving in the Silver Gray Space.

”A0178, it seems the sorting order is different from what I imagined.”

Su Changxing browsed the blue screen and found that its number was not the expected A01715.

”So, finding this Mysterious Shop actually involved some element of coincidence.”

Next, he checked the item column and found the rare resource was still the Speed Enhancement. In his opinion, Power or Physique would be best, as stacking the same attribute repeatedly may yield diminishing returns.

Because the higher an attribute, the weaker the enhancement effect becomes, so allocating the same number of enhancements to different attribute increases would be greater.
