Global Game: I Have Portable Store

Chapter 30: Chapter 30: Visitors from Chenxi

Su Changxing wiped the blood off his face, his lips curving into a grin, coughing, he murmured: ”Cough cough cough, in the end, you underestimated me. If you had taken a step back and attacked my vital points, I would be the one dead.”

The short sword was still lodged in his chest, piercing through his shoulder, with blood continuously seeping from the blade’s edge.

Su Changxing took a deep breath and abruptly pulled out the short sword, wincing in pain as his chest was slowly soaked with blood.

He needed something to stop the bleeding. After a moment’s thought, he cut the man’s clothes into strips with the short sword and haphazardly wrapped them around his chest as a makeshift bandage, barely staunching the flow.

”This kind of destructive power is really abnormal, the shoulder blade is even cracked, what kind of ability is this? A superpower?”

Su Changxing guessed that this man might have had such abilities even before the Doomsday Game began. Still, given that something like the Doomsday Game appeared, the existence of superpowers didn’t seem so strange.

It was just that he had originally been of such a low level, merely an ordinary citizen, and had never heard of these things.

Su Changxing’s right arm was almost useless; any slight movement would tear open the wound, causing a large amount of blood to flow.

He picked up Wu Wenbi’s phone with his left hand to plunder from it.

[Plundered an eliminated contestant, gained 1100 points]

[Total points: 2121]

”After killing so many zombies, and still only this many points? It seems his points were not many to begin with.”

Su Changxing speculated that this man might have used some points before, and perhaps he had enhanced his speed, which matched his superpower.

He opened the phone to check his attributes.

Name: Su Changxing

Power: 4 (Stronger than the average human)

Speed: 4 (Stronger than the average human)

Physique: 3 (Average human level)

Perception: 1 (Something even the average human would never have)

Spirit: 5 (Far above the average human)

Status: Heavily wounded.

Evaluation: Your injury is severe, simple bandaging won’t improve your condition. You need treatment; otherwise, you will bleed out and die. Humans are sometimes so fragile, a small wound can be fatal.

Su Changxing also felt a bit heavy-hearted, did not hesitate much, packed the sleeping bag into his backpack, placed the short sword inside his coat, and posted a thread selling the steel saber on the forum.

Lucky Child: An eighty percent new steel saber, 500 points, interested parties, contact me.

Reply 1: Looks like the big boss doesn’t fancy steel sabers anymore, must have switched to better weapons.

Reply 2: No points, no points. Killing zombies gives points, but killing zombies needs weapons, and weapons require points, this is a vicious cycle, who’s going to break it?

······

Within a few minutes, Feng Hua Mao contacted him.

Feng Hua Mao: I’ll take this weapon.

Lucky Child: Alright, let’s trade directly.

A flash of white light, and a middle-aged man with sunglasses appeared holding a steel saber with some nicks on the blade.

”Used gravity to chop many times, seems this person’s strength isn’t small, but their technique is rough, leading to severe blade damage, definitely self-taught.”

The middle-aged man in sunglasses assessed the steel saber in his hand, casually tossing it. The saber flew straight and embedded itself into a zombie’s forehead, pinning it to the wall.

In front of him stood a Mysterious Shop.

Feng Hua Mao: If you have any more weapons, as long as they’re good, I might consider buying them.

Lucky Child: Sure.

Su Changxing carried the steel saber out the door, heading upstairs; the massive blood loss made him feel dizzy, and in his current state, he couldn’t relocate elsewhere.

He could only gamble, betting that the trench coat man didn’t report his location, and betting that Chenxi wouldn’t send people to check before dawn.

In a room on the most marginal floor, Su Changxing closed the door, spread out a sleeping bag on the floor, lay down on it, forcing himself to fall asleep quickly despite the intense pain throughout his body.

He also had a superpower, one that emerged due to a potion, regenerating in his sleep, and this recovery ability was decent, should be able to heal his injuries, or at least prevent bleeding to death.

He didn’t know how long it had been before Su Changxing slowly opened his eyes, it was already bright outside, around eight or nine o’clock.

The pain on his body had disappeared, replaced by a strong hunger.

Su Changxing took out his phone from his pocket to glance at it, 9:40.

He had slept for a little over four hours.

Pulling off the bandage from his chest, he found the wound scabbed over, even with new flesh growing, the status on the status bar now showed lightly injured instead of heavily injured.

”Barely four hours and I’m almost fully recovered, this recovery ability is simply abnormal, probably as long as any injury isn’t immediately fatal, if I can sleep through it, I won’t die.”

Su Changxing couldn’t help but sigh; although his superpower wasn’t obvious, it was still very strong, at least top-notch for survival skills.

Using the short sword to open a can of mung bean and pairing it with bread, Su Changxing ate heartily. After finishing the canned food, bread, and drinking a bottle of water, he still felt quite hungry.

”Is it because the superpower exhausted too much energy in my body, making me feel so hungry? Or does my now stronger body naturally consume more energy?”

Su Changxing pondered, then exchanged for a big bread again and ate it before feeling satisfied.

Quickly packing up his backpack, Su Changxing decided to leave immediately, as Chenxi’s people might come at any time, and this place was probably not far from their base.

His luck was really bad.

Su Changxing had just reached the stairwell when he heard voices from below.

”Captain Wu Wenbi is actually dead, and he was a superpower user!”

”The perpetrator isn’t simple either, very powerful, managed to split open Captain Wu Wenbi’s head with just one blow, if their strength was slightly greater, the entire head would have been split in two.”

”Do you think the perpetrator might still be here? We should be careful.”

”Probably not, they’d have fled long ago if they could, would they really stick around to guard the corpse? Unless they’re insane.”

······

Su Changxing tiptoed back to the previous room, planning to climb out the window onto the rooftop and return the same way, not intending to get into pointless entanglements with these people.

But he saw some people on the opposite rooftop, seemingly surveying the surroundings.

Startled, Su Changxing quickly retreated back behind the wall to avoid being seen.

It seemed there were quite a few of Chenxi’s people nearby, both escape routes were blocked.

He turned into the room opposite, observing through the window, confirming there was no one outside, before climbing out and descending.

Even though it was over ten floors, the downward climb didn’t consume much energy.

At the fifth or sixth floor, just as Su Changxing thought everything was going smoothly, he subconsciously turned his head and looked, his heart leaping threefold with shock.
