Global Game: I Have Portable Store

Chapter 38: Chapter 38: The Ghost Eating Salted Pork with Pickled Vegetables

Su Changxing estimated that everyone’s points had increased somewhat, and the pricing of goods was also a bit higher than before.

As soon as the post was published, many people immediately messaged to purchase, as if these people were constantly monitoring the forum posts.

”It’s a bit strange. I set the prices quite high. Those who can buy with points should know the purpose of the Mysterious Shop. They don’t need to buy food from me at high prices.”

Su Changxing thought it over for a moment and understood that it must be an organization hoarding food. Unlike him, a lone wolf, they had more people to care for. Food would never be sufficient, while points might be in excess.

There are only so many items in the Mysterious Shop, and once they’re exchanged, they’re gone. So, using points to buy food at high prices on the forum is also a good choice.

It’s just not clear if points will have other uses later.

The replies to the post increased visibly at an insane speed.

Reply 1: Wow, so many things, this can’t be the shop section of the forum, can it?

Reply 2: The lucky boss is getting more and more outrageous, with each sale offering more than the last.

Reply 3: But why are there no weapons? I still want to exchange for a weapon. It’s well known that the quality of weapons here is the best.

Reply 4: I’m almost starving. Is there any kind person who can share some food?

Reply 5: The person upstairs, don’t shout. I’m also very hungry.

[Total Points, 7936]

In less than ten minutes, Su Changxing sold out everything in the post, and the points surged again to 7936.

These points should be enough for now.

”Did I sell too cheaply? These people have more money than I imagined... But it’s about right, being too excessive would be counterproductive.”

Su Changxing opened the lid of the self-heating rice, steam with a hint of pickled meat odor hit his face. The side dish for the self-heating rice was pickled meat, pork belly with a perfect balance of fat and lean.

In the current world, self-heating rice is just average, but in this apocalypse, it can definitely be considered a top-tier delicacy.

”Who can resist this?”

Su Changxing took a big bite of rice with the pickled meat, exhaled with satisfaction, feeling that a little rice in his stomach made him comfortable.

At the same time, he was scrolling through the forum on his phone and coincidentally saw a post about pickled meat.

Penny Pincher: Guys, who can handle this? I’m here gnawing on biscuits, and I smell the pickled meat. It must be some bastard nearby eating it, this is too much.

Reply 1: I suspect you just want to eat pickled meat.

Reply 2: I’m also feeling bad, I want to eat it too. Feels like the original poster is poisoning us.

Reply 3: I don’t believe it unless you let me take a bite.

Reply 4: Don’t believe it +1.

······

”Pickled meat? Who are they talking about? It shouldn’t be me.”

Su Changxing nodded confidently, then finished a whole bowl of rice, also realizing the smell of hot food might expose his location.

Soon, there was a slight knock on the door outside.

”Knock knock knock~”

After a few knocks, someone whispered at the door, ”Is there anyone inside?”

Xu Qifeng stood outside the door, sure that the aroma was coming from this room, there must be someone inside.

Since arriving here, his sense of smell had become extremely acute, able to detect smells from hundreds of meters away.

He was about to carry out his first robbery here in his life.

He told himself that just taking part of that person’s food would be enough, robbing the rich to help the poor, he had no other choice for survival.

Su Changxing, still chewing food in his mouth, picked up the Steel Saber and walked toward the door. He hadn’t expected this person to find him so quickly, not knowing if it was luck or some special ability.

Xu Qifeng heard a deep voice coming from inside the room.

”No one is here.”

He was momentarily stunned, stuck in place, and sarcastically retorted, ”If no one is there, then who are you?”

”I didn’t say I was human, did I?”

The voice suddenly became sharp and screechy, accompanied by inexplicable laughter.

Xu Qifeng’s heart couldn’t help but tremble. He looked around, the hallway was pitch black, with a few zombies killed during the day lying on the ground. Thinking back, it seemed the door had always been closed.

Then how could someone be there!

”Creak~”

The door slowly opened.

His heart skipped a beat, without looking inside, he turned around and ran back, afraid of attracting the attention of zombies, he didn’t even dare to shout.

”With such a small courage, coming to rob?”

Su Changxing watched the fleeing shadow in the darkness with some surprise, wiping the oil on his mouth with his hand.

Xu Qifeng went upstairs to hide back in his previous room. It took him a long time to calm his pounding heart, he wasn’t afraid of zombies, but he feared ghosts, he always had since childhood.

Even in the darkness, he felt uneasy, took out his phone, and posted a new thread to express his emotions.

Penny Pincher: Guys, it was a ghost eating pickled meat just now, although I don’t know why a ghost would eat pickled meat.

Reply 1: It’s getting more and more ridiculous. Ghosts are even out now, but thinking about it, it might be possible, considering we’ve come to this ghostly place.

Reply 2: Could it be that this world not only has zombies but also ghosts? Or maybe these ghosts are a kind of zombie.

Su Changxing closed the door, and under the moonlight, he observed the situation outside. There were quite a few zombies on the street. Normally, he would be discovered by the zombies once he went down, and with bad luck, even provoke several zombies.

But now it’s different, he had long-range attack means.

Su Changxing held the Shadow Bow in his hand, an arrow appeared in his other hand. Drawing the bow, aiming at the zombie’s head, in an instant, a zombie quietly fell to the ground.

He kept drawing the bow and shooting arrows. Minutes later, seven or eight zombies were on the ground in the street.

Su Changxing found it became easier to kill these zombies with the bow. When not stimulated by humans, these zombies moved very slowly, sometimes not at all.

For him, they were like simple aiming targets, and with the Head Splitting Talent, the arrowheads could easily pierce their skulls.

Xu Qifeng suddenly saw the zombies on the street falling one by one by themselves, his heart couldn’t help but shudder, covering his head, mumbling to himself: ”It’s over, it’s over, it’s definitely a ghost.”

Su Changxing, seeing that it was about done, turned and climbed down the window, landing lightly on the street, surrounded by low growling sounds.

He held his breath, minimizing the risk of the zombies detecting him, and slowly walked to the predetermined spot by the streetlamp, clearing the zombies ahead with his bow and arrow again, advancing continuously in this manner.

He didn’t want to trigger a zombie tide again, the risks were still too great, with many uncertain factors.

After more than ten minutes, having killed over ten zombies without being detected by a single zombie, he arrived again at the street of the A01713 Mysterious Shop. Since it was cleared during the day, there weren’t many zombies on the street.

Su Changxing shot a few zombies dead, then arrived in front of the Mysterious Shop’s location, and climbed directly to the second floor along the wall.
