Global Game: I Have Portable Store

Chapter 16: Chapter 16: The Deafening Noise After Midnight

Opening the window, the evening breeze was exceptionally refreshing.

Su Changxing looked towards the street, seeing no lights below and no Mysterious Shop appeared, feeling a bit disappointed; it seemed luck wasn’t on his side.

He took a can of canned peaches out of his backpack and ate it along with the remaining half of a loaf of bread.

”To be honest, this canned food is sweet enough to be cloying, but it’s really good stuff in the apocalypse, at least the energy is abundant.”

Su Changxing opened his phone and found that he already had 625 Points, had killed 39 Zombies, and had fallen off the Zombie kill leaderboard.

The other people on the leaderboard seemed to be stimulated by Su Changxing’s title, frantically slaughtering Zombies.

The first place ID is called Marquis Hei, killing more than a hundred Zombies, and the second place also killed more than eighty Zombies.

”Are these people beasts? They actually killed eighty or ninety Zombies in just half a day, is this something normal humans can do?”

Su Changxing sensed something was off, even if a hundred pigs were there to be killed, it wouldn’t necessarily be done in half a day, let alone these highly aggressive Zombies.

However, the forum did not have such titles as hundred-kill first-kill, which seemed to imply that titles weren’t so easy to acquire.

At least until now, only Su Changxing had a title.

While eating bread and canned peaches, Su Changxing opened the forum and started browsing.

A flying and ground-walking big shot?

He immediately saw the hottest post ranked number one and was a little surprised, had humans already started flying?

Then this really would be fantastical.

”Isn’t this me?”

Su Changxing was surprised to find that the person in the video was unmistakably him, with a blue backpack, and a rusty hand axe on it, sliding down a rope.

After watching the video, Su Changxing also couldn’t help but admire the recorder’s skills, probably someone who had specialized in this before.

”But this is too unethical, filming without permission at will, has the taste of paparazzi, and...”

A glint flashed in Su Changxing’s eyes, perceiving the hidden danger, others could completely infer his approximate location through the video, and his backpack was very suggestive.

While browsing the forum, he suddenly noticed a light coming from outside, in such darkness, even a little light would appear dazzling.

A brightly lit shop appeared on the street opposite, its interior unclear, surrounded by Zombies who were indifferent to the suddenly appeared shop, showing no reaction.

”It really appeared.”

Su Changxing was a bit surprised, glancing at the time, it was just twelve o’clock, meaning the Mysterious Shop would appear after twelve o’clock.

The distance was very close, Su Changxing could even rush over directly through the stairway, but if the Zombies surrounded him, it would be extremely dangerous.

At night, the Zombies’ movement Speed should be about the same as his.

Su Changxing pondered for a while, and still prepared to sell two Steel Sabers first, keeping one in the shop as a backup.

Although 655 Points is a lot, if the Mysterious Shop can really exchange Points for items, it still might not be enough.

And by observing the leaderboard, Su Changxing estimated that many people had accumulated a large number of Points, so he wasn’t worried about not being able to sell the Steel Saber.

More importantly, right now most people don’t know the use of Points, maybe by tomorrow someone will find out the usefulness of Points.

So selling things on hand now is the highest cost-performance option.

Su Changxing immediately posted a sale thread for the Steel Saber, and pinned it to the top.

Lucky Child: Happened to acquire a Steel Saber, top-notch weapon, priced at 600 Points, first come first served, don’t wait too long.

A Steel Saber glinting coldly in the Darkness.

Su Changxing still chose to be a bit greedy, setting the price at 600 Points, betting that even at 600 Points, someone would buy.

Because before Points have other uses, using them to swap for a better weapon is obviously a good choice.

Because Su Changxing now had the unique pinning rights, the post received huge traffic, and soon after posting, there were plenty of replies.

Reply 1: What’s this? Did I see a Divine Artifact?

Reply 2: Wow, if I had this Steel Saber, cutting Zombies would be as easy as pie, but sadly I only have a little over 100 Points now.

Reply 3: I would call the big shot the first weapons trader of the forum.

Reply 4: Really want to have this Steel Saber, big shot can you let me buy it on credit? I’ll buy it for 1000 Points.

Reply 5: The guy above thinks too much, the Lucky big shot isn’t doing charity, do you really think this is still the same world as before?

······

Sure enough, in a few minutes, Su Changxing saw someone in the private messages looking to purchase.

Minotaur: I have 600 Points, buying now.

Su Changxing smirked, this person had no intention of haggling, seemed a bit anxious, perhaps fearing the Steel Saber would be bought by someone else.

Su Changxing wasted no words, replying directly: Sure, let’s trade directly.

Afterward, he exchanged 60 Points for two Steel Sabers, one of which turned into a white light and disappeared, replaced by an increase of 600 Points.

[Total Points: 1165]

The second private message was surprisingly from Heartless Beast.

Heartless Beast: Brother, have you sold the item yet? If not, I’ll buy it, I urgently need it.

Su Changxing thought for a moment and replied: Not sold, if you want to buy it, we can trade now.

Heartless Beast: Sure, brother you’re really something, always finding good stuff.

Lucky Child: Just lucky, with Lucky in the name, being unlucky isn’t an option.

Heartless Beast: Huh? Should I change my name to Lucky Beast too?

Su Changxing chuckled and traded with Heartless Beast, the other Steel Saber also transformed into a white light and disappeared, gaining another 600 Points.

[Total Points: 1765]

In this back and forth, Su Changxing earned nearly 1200 Points, equivalent to killing 120 Zombies.

I, Su Changxing, the number one trader of the apocalypse!

Su Changxing gathered his belongings, observing the situation on the street, the Points were now enough, but the question was how to safely reach the Mysterious Shop.

”Boom~”

Suddenly, in the Darkness, a metallic crash echoed from the other side of the street, the Zombies on the street seemed to be activated, emitting chaotic roars, swarming towards the sound.

Su Changxing was startled, realizing someone had the same idea, using sound to draw away the Zombies.

”Using this method, there should be more than one person, one to distract the Zombies, and another to head to the Mysterious Shop.”

But after waiting for a while, Su Changxing saw no one appearing on the street, concluding there should be another Mysterious Shop nearby, they should be at the other Mysterious Shop.

So now was Su Changxing’s opportunity.

Su Changxing immediately left the room, reached the stairway, quietly heading downward, and just as he reached the ground floor, he heard a roar, a Zombie charging frantically at him from the side.

He anticipated this, even if most Zombies were lured away, some would remain, and at night, the Zombies’ Perception becomes stronger, able to sense human presence from a distance.

Su Changxing skillfully raised the Steel Saber, following the pre-set route in his mind, slashed across and knocked the Zombie over, neatly carving a small notch in its right hemisphere, just killing the Zombie.
