Global Game: I Have Portable Store

Chapter 24: Chapter 24: Transaction News

The area near the A0171 Mysterious Shop has already been designated by Su Changxing as a danger zone. For the time being, he will not approach that area, not only because of the organization’s involvement but also due to the unknown terrifying entity there.

However, this does not mean Su Changxing intends to end his operations tonight. He realizes he is currently in a golden time frame, with many Mysterious Shops still unvisited, a vast amount of resources waiting for him to tap into.

Moreover, this will only be a snowball effect; the strong will only become stronger, so seizing the opportunity is crucial.

It’s only about two o’clock now, and he still has a long time to act. However, he only has 1109 Points on him. If he finds items that enhance attributes, he might not be able to purchase them.

So he has to sell some of his belongings.

In the discount store, there are still six loaves of bread, seven 1L bottles of water, and a Steel Saber. His backpack contains eleven various-sized cans, and there are three buckets of instant noodles upstairs.

After much deliberation, Su Changxing decides to first sell six cans, three buckets of instant noodles, and a loaf of bread to gain Points.

Although food is also precious, at this stage, trading food for Points is more worthwhile.

As for the last Steel Saber in the discount store, he won’t consider selling it before the next refresh of the discount store.

This is a backup weapon to guard against losing weapons, directly related to his safety. Even without food for a short time, he can still survive.

Having made the decision, Su Changxing immediately gets up, goes back upstairs, retrieves three buckets of instant noodles, six cans, exchanges a loaf of bread, and posts again.

Lucky Child: Scavenged food once again.

Various canned foods with a shelf life of a hundred years, 200 Points, quantity 6.

Instant noodles, 100 Points, quantity 3.

Half a large loaf of bread, 200 Points, quantity 2.

Su Changxing splits a loaf of bread in half, selling each half for 200 Points, simply because one loaf is too large; Ordinary People eating half can be a full meal.

But one can doesn’t necessarily fill you up, though it contains richer nutrients.

Just after posting, Su Changxing finds someone frantically private messaging him. Glancing at it, he sees it’s Feng Hua Mao, someone on the kill ranking list.

Lucky Child: What’s up?

Feng Hua Mao: I’d like to inquire about the use of Points.

Su Changxing couldn’t help but smile, this person is quite interesting. Perhaps many know he understands the use of Points, but he’s the first to directly ask him.

Lucky Child: Why should I tell you?

Feng Hua Mao: I can trade Points for information with you.

Seeing the two words ”Points,” Su Changxing became interested. He’s currently lacking Points, and exchanging information that’s already about to be exposed for Points doesn’t feel like a loss. The question is how many Points Feng Hua Mao is willing to offer.

Lucky Child: How many Points can you offer?

Feng Hua Mao immediately replied: 500 Points.

Su Changxing thought and raised the price by double: 1000 Points.

Feng Hua Mao once again immediately replies: Deal.

Su Changxing paused for a moment; he initially prepared for a round of haggling, not expecting Feng Hua Mao to be so decisive, appearing quite wealthy.

”Did I sell myself short?”

Su Changxing fell into self-doubt, but he didn’t raise the price further; once the price was set, it was set, with no need to change.

Feng Hua Mao: I’ll give you half the Points first, then the rest after you tell me.

Su Changxing quickly received 500 Points from Feng Hua Mao.

Lucky Child: It’s simple. Points can be used in the Mysterious Shop to redeem items. As for other uses, I’m not aware of any.

Feng Hua Mao: So your bread is also redeemed from the Mysterious Shop. Are there other items inside?

Only then did Su Changxing suddenly realize the loophole in selling bread; this kind of bread clearly cannot be preserved for long.

This was a big oversight he hadn’t considered before.

Lucky Child: This isn’t included in our transaction, right?

In the pitch-black underground parking lot, a campfire burns. A young man with a pale face is tinkering with the hot water on the fire.

A middle-aged man with sunglasses, sporting stubble, looks at the messages on his phone, pausing for a moment, not expecting this person to be so sly, then laughs, ”No wonder he’s the biggest profiteer on the forum.”

Next to him, the young man tears open the instant noodle lid, adds seasoning, turns back, and asks, ”Team leader, did he agree to the trade?”

The middle-aged man’s expression is slightly languid, saying, ”I’ve already found out Points can be used to redeem items in the Mysterious Shop. Unfortunately, there is no Mysterious Shop near us.”

The young man continues to ask, ”What’s in the Mysterious Shop?”

The middle-aged man looks at his phone, somewhat helplessly, saying, ”I’ll ask again. Frankly, this guy is a bit too crafty.”

Feng Hua Mao: Add another 500. Tell me what’s really in the Mysterious Shop.

Su Changxing receives another 1000 Points from Feng Hua Mao. While marveling at his wealth, he also speculates about Feng Hua Mao’s identity.

Lucky Child: The Mysterious Shop sells food and water, but not much quantity. However, various other daily necessities are plenty, and there’s a type of rare resource beyond imagination.

Feng Hua Mao: Rare resources?

Lucky Child: Some things beyond reason, like directly enhancing the body or acquiring knowledge. I’m not very sure.

Feng Hua Mao: Although it’s a trade, thanks for the information. Your details are valuable. If there’s any other important information, you can sell it to me too.

Lucky Child: What if I want to inquire about something?

Feng Hua Mao: It’s also possible, but in return you need to pay Points.

”Captain, the noodles are ready. They’re really fragrant. I’ve never had such delicious instant noodles before.” The young man gobbles the noodles, speaking indistinctly.

The middle-aged man removes his sunglasses, taking the noodles, saying gruffly, ”You’re just hungry. Everything tastes good when you’re hungry.”

He takes a bite of noodles and continues, ”Things have gotten quite tricky now. Apart from our bureau, all other deployments have been paralyzed due to various reasons, and the items in the Mysterious Shop will inevitably lead to competition.”

The young man pauses his eating, asking, ”What should we do? We can only contact a dozen or so people now, and they’re not even nearby.”

The middle-aged man thinks and says, ”You keep trying to contact others. I’ll go outside to find a Mysterious Shop.”

······

Su Changxing fell into thought. He can be certain that behind Feng Hua Mao lies a large organization very formidable in the real world, and it’s not the same as the organization he just encountered.

In just a short time, there were numerous replies under the post, and one reply was quite interesting.

Tsn Yun Shou: The master has scavenged resources once again. I tossed and turned all night unable to sleep, reading the post and seeing the crooked words ”wealthy.” I’m sure the master has a large warehouse. Mark my words, it’s not me who’ll eat shit here.

Reply 1: Just say you want to scam food and drinks.

Reply 2: I rather agree with Tsn Yun Shou, who dares to roam outside at this time of night?

Reply 3: The original poster can just go eat shit. The bread sold by Lucky Child simply isn’t logical, right? I’m sure the master is a cross-time and space merchant. Mark my words, not me going to eat shit.

Reply 4: You upstairs, you can go eat shit too. Don’t you understand high-tech preservation technology? The technology in this world is obviously much more advanced. Having a high-tech preservation device in the warehouse makes perfect sense.

Reply 5: In the Ganges.

······

Su Changxing is inclined to solidify this assumption; it could perfectly explain the irrational aspects of his situation and conceal his true identity.
