Global Game: I Have Portable Store

Chapter 3: Chapter 3: Scalping Steel Rods

For those trying to trade at low prices, Su Changxing ignored them, not knowing if their crisis was real or fake. The current situation was that he could only look out for himself first.

Su Changxing’s post was quickly pushed to a hot topic with a large number of replies.

The private message inbox was filled with messages, most people wanted to barter, only a few were willing to exchange for 100 Points.

Su Changxing immediately noticed a familiar name, Heartless Beast, the person who previously posted an analysis of zombie combat power, which had helped him.

Heartless Beast: Brother, I have 100 Points and want to exchange for a steel rod. I know many want this weapon now, but I urgently need it. If you sell it to me, just consider it as me owing you a favor.

Seeing no reply from Su Changxing, Heartless Beast quickly sent another message: Brother, I was careless and attracted five or six zombies. I’m currently stuck at the door, just give me a weapon and I can kill them.

Su Changxing didn’t take advantage of the situation and replied: Alright, let’s trade now.

On the trading screen, on one side was the steel rod, and on the other was 100 Points.

[Transaction Successful]

The steel rod turned into a white light and flew into the phone. Su Changxing’s Points increased to 210, bringing him closer to 500 Points.

At the same time, Heartless Beast was surprised to see a steel rod stained with black blood appear on the ground, with a warm handle, evidently just in Lucky Child’s hand.

Heartless Beast showed an enthusiastic expression. With a weapon in hand, he feared no one, recalling the past when he chopped from Southern Celestial Gate to Sanwei Bookstore, with an invincible aura.

Heartless Beast dragged the steel rod and charged at the zombies that just broke in, smashing their heads with one swing...

Su Changxing judged that Heartless Beast’s combat power should be strong, having the confidence to take on four or five zombies with just a steel rod.

Could he be some champion in martial arts?

Then, Su Changxing spent 70 Points to acquire four steel rods he planned to sell and a steel saber for self-defense.

The steel saber was heavier than the steel rod. With Su Changxing’s current physical strength, he could swing it at most three times, but it was more powerful. A well-aimed swing could decapitate a zombie in two strikes.

Soon, Su Changxing’s post received hundreds of replies, with a lot of trolls and critics appearing.

Bixian: How foolish, selling his weapon as if he can’t survive otherwise, seeking death?

Chips Man: That’s right, even if you have extra weapons, you shouldn’t sell them. In such dangerous environments, accidents can happen anytime, yet the poster uses them to trade for useless Points.

Xiaoxin: The poster might be better off trading his weapon for some food, considering we all have to survive in this world for at least thirty days.

Su Changxing looked at these replies with a contemptuous smile, thinking how can the minds of the rich be fathomed by these poor people.

He had four more of such weapons.

Immediately, someone began to doubt whether Su Changxing was genuinely selling steel rods.

Cherry: I suspect the poster isn’t selling weapons, just showing off.

Bixian: Perhaps the steel rod is already broken, which is why he’s selling it.

Seeing this, Su Changxing couldn’t help but sigh. No matter where you go, you can’t escape these trolls. It didn’t bother him if they criticized him, but it affected his business, with a few potential buyers hesitating.

Though Points are currently useless, the mission clearly states that you need 1000 Points. One can imagine the outcome for those without 1000 Points after thirty days.

Heartless Beast seemed to have cleared the zombies and commented: I bought Lucky Brothers’ steel rod and found it very useful. After smashing the brains of five zombies, its damage level is very low. The most enjoyable steel rod I’ve used.

Heartless Beast had published several guides on the forum before, gaining high recognition, and as soon as he spoke, the trend changed.

Three-year Simulation: Wow, is this the ”Rich Lady’s Joy Rod”?

Masked: I regret hesitating, now I only have a nearly broken wooden stick.

Armor: What’s going on? I was discussing business with the poster, and now the steel rod has been sold. @Lucky Child, are you trying to scam my Points?

Su Changxing’s face stiffened. He originally planned to secretly sell the other four steel rods, but unexpectedly, he got asked.

He had to quickly reply below: I still have four brand new steel rods here, still 100 Points each, interested parties can contact me; don’t miss the chance.

This statement exploded the post, with thousands of replies flooding in within a short time, pushing it to the forefront of hot topics, with nearly everyone focused on Su Changxing’s post.

Little Sea King: What? While we were struggling without weapons, you started mass selling weapons, is this what a big shot does?

Just This: Lucky Boss, I wish to be your follower, does becoming a little brother come with perks of free steel rods?

Erin: Steel Rod Gang +1

······

More people came in private messages wanting to buy steel rods, with many willing to exchange 100 Points. It seems there are still many capable people among humanity.

Su Changxing casually selected a few qualified individuals and sold the remaining steel rods.

After this, within an hour, Su Changxing accumulated 540 Points, earning a solid 430 Points, equivalent to killing 43 zombies.

Su Changxing figured he might be the richest in Points now. After gathering 1000 Points, he could even find a place to hide for 30 days until the Doomsday Game ended.

As for the remaining steel sabers in the store, Su Changxing also planned to sell them, but not now. He wanted to wait until others accumulated more Points to sell them and reap a big harvest.

A steel saber for two hundred... no, three hundred Points.

He wasn’t too worried about others buying weapons and then coming back to deal with him; with so many people, even if he sold a hundred more, the odds of encountering any would be low.

Besides, this could be considered as indirectly helping others, forming a win-win situation. He gained Points, and others got the weapons they needed.

By now, the sunset had fully set, the rundown city gradually embraced the night, and the zombies outside were noticeably becoming restless.

Su Changxing glanced out the window with a heavy expression, then spent 500 Points to exchange for a Physical Enhancement Potion.

A white light flashed, and an iron syringe appeared on the ground, with a glass center revealing blue glowing liquid, looking extraordinary.

Su Changxing picked up the syringe, examined it briefly, and decisively injected it into his arm.

A warm stream spread throughout his body from the arm, followed by a slight prickling sensation.

The feeling of weakness disappeared completely, his arm muscles slightly bulged, and his body became light and strong.

He was more than twice as strong as before.
