Chapter 26: Chapter 26: Parkour Master

”TM, this is way too cool. Leading the undead tide outside at night, is this challenging the limits?”

The chubby man trembled with excitement, his face turning red, as if he were the one running in the street. He immediately took out his phone to start recording.

The phone’s pixel quality was quite good, capable of capturing the scene as well as the naked eye, even at night.

His name is Zhou An, a proper and ordinary college student, just about to skip evening class to climb levels, when he entered this Doomsday World.

Originally timid by nature, he initially didn’t even dare to leave his room, struggling hard to clear the zombies in these few rooms to gather some supplies.

Zhou An was about to post his video when he discovered that someone had already put up a thread about the situation on the forum, and it had become a hot topic.

This indicated that there were other people nearby, which made Zhou An somewhat excited. If he could find people to team up, surviving in the apocalypse might be much easier.

Humans, after all, are social animals. The notion of strength in numbers is universally understood and applicable in most situations.

However, upon glancing at it, he found that the post only included pictures.

Tonight’s top thread, he was determined to achieve it.

Mediocre: Big shot parkour, live video. Anyone around here? Looking for a team-up.

Seeing his post go live, Zhou An himself began to feel excited.

Posting a thread to become a hot topic not only helped find others to team up but also provided him with some spiritual comfort during this apocalypse. The feeling of being in the spotlight was exhilarating, even if just on the forum.

Indeed, the thread quickly shot up to the top.

Reply 1: Did anyone notice the big shot in the video resembles the previous rope-sliding big shot?

Reply 2: Whoa, didn’t notice it before. Now that you mention it, it really looks like him. From the build, he absolutely is the previous rope-sliding big shot. Amazing.

Reply 3: That rope-sliding big shot is either courting death or on the road to it. Envious, I also want to jump off buildings, run freely in the streets.

Reply 4: If you don’t die, let me know, I want to try it too.

Reply 5: I just heard a screeching sound passing by, but only saw a horde of zombies, didn’t see the big shot. I think I’m in the same place as the thread owner, looking for a team-up.

·······

Zhou An realized this was indeed the previous rope-sliding big shot and exclaimed:

”Big shots always choose the most eye-catching ways to act. Can take the stairs but choose to slide ropes, can act during the day but opt for cool night runs.”

He then began contacting nearby people through private messages, discussing strategies for teaming up, unknowingly showing a smile.

At this moment, Su Changxing was far from looking so relaxed. In a high-speed running state, he couldn’t afford any mistakes, and his stamina was rapidly depleting.

With stamina depletion, the chance of error increased.

Su Changxing saw a large area of abandoned vehicles ahead, rusted bodies shimmering silver under the moonlight, full of desolate and silent feeling.

This should be the aftermath of a car accident following the apocalypse, and no one had cleared the scene at that time.

Su Changxing’s eyes lit up; wasn’t this his arena, where in the constantly shifting terrain, Climbing Specialization could be fully utilized?

Step, support, flip, the movements flowed seamlessly, as the cool night breeze swept by, the black coat fluttered wildly, Su Changxing sprinted across the car tops.

In just a few dozen seconds, he widened the gap with the undead tide behind him, the pressure on him significantly reduced.

”Wow, this guy might be a parkour master, but I haven’t heard of him before.”

Zhou An inhaled sharply, his heart full of shock, feeling as if Su Changxing was flying between vehicles. He quickly started recording the next video, eager to share his sense of awe with others.

Mediocre: Flying Big Shot, Part Two.

Reply 1: Thought it was just a sensational title, but on watching, he’s truly flying. This definitely is a very famous parkour master. Wonder who can recognize his true identity.

Reply 2: I’m passionate about parkour, but I’ve never seen this person because his moves aren’t typical parkour techniques. In fact, they carry a touch of climbing. He must be a folk hero god.

Reply 3: What are you guys discussing? Just call it awesome; I’m willing to call him the Doomsday Survival Master.

······

After passing the accident section, a spot of light appeared in Su Changxing’s view, incredibly obvious amidst the darkness.

This was the Mysterious Shop.

Just as Su Changxing had previously anticipated, the Mysterious Shop was located precisely nearby.

Calculating the distance carefully, Su Changxing found that the locations of the three Mysterious Shops formed roughly an equilateral triangle.

This was an astounding finding, indicating that the locations of the Mysterious Shops followed a pattern.

······

Wu Wenbi looked at the nearby A01712 Mysterious Shop and couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. It wasn’t easy for them to get here.

These zombies were really troublesome; even after luring some away, they were still hard to deal with.

More importantly, they unexpectedly lost four members, leaving only nine people, seriously short of manpower.

”Wang Hu, later go straight into A01712 to exchange resources and keep records of rare items inside.”

A fully thick-skinned, well-dressed person replied, ”Okay, leave it to me. With this gear, zombies definitely can’t scratch me, I can rush right in.”

Until now, no one could clearly explain the zombie infection mechanism, but everyone assumed that getting scratched by zombies would lead to infection.

There were quite a number of zombies here, and Wu Wenbi’s tactic was simple. One person rushed in to exchange resources while they temporarily resisted zombies outside, quickly retreating once the person emerged.

Ten people formed an arc, advancing slowly with a well-trained appearance, showing some sense of order in their cooperation.

Suddenly, a man with a ponytail and a bare chest looked forward, puzzled: ”What’s that sound?”

From the other direction along the street, a faint noise was coming.

A few people looked at each other, feeling a bit bewildered.

”A large number of zombies are approaching.” Wu Wenbi quickly reacted, decisively issuing the order, ”Situation changed, full speed ahead.”

He wanted to seize the Mysterious Shop before the zombies arrived.

Saying this, Wu Wenbi led the charge with his short sword, leaving several afterimages in the air as he swung, instantly piercing the foreheads of two zombies ahead.

The sound of the undead tide grew louder, making everyone’s heart tremble involuntarily.

Among them, a person holding a rusty wrench couldn’t help but say, ”Captain Wu, maybe we should retreat for now.”

Wu Wenbi’s face changed unpredictably. Each Mysterious Shop concerned his resource allocation regarding rare resource distribution.

As long as he captured this Mysterious Shop, he would get a chance at Speed Enhancement again.

Making a decision, he said firmly, ”Keep moving forward; the sound is still far away, and they might not be coming this way. We can still retreat if we see the zombies.”

Hearing this reassured the others; Wu Wenbi’s prestige among them was high.
