Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Chapter 451: Chapter 60 In the Name of Freedom! _1

While Wen Yu was in his room, reflecting on and assessing his current strength and trump cards, recruitment activities outside were in full swing!

In fact, Wen Yu and the military faction were not the only ones recruiting. Many ambitious individuals had discerned the power of the Independents hidden behind the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle, a power capable of changing the world order. However, most of these individuals were merely insignificant jesters!

Among them, the one who was arguably the most conspicuous in his recruitment efforts was Akad, formerly Sequence Number 5, now Sequence Number 52!

Having lost all his extra ’lives,’ Akad’s strength was undoubtedly a sorry sight. At present, Akad’s biggest headache was how to ensure his survival from the military faction’s manhunt.

Since my own strength has significantly decreased, I need external help to compensate for this loss! And what external force could be better than a powerful organization?

Of course, to achieve my goal, this powerful organization must be led by me!

Unfortunately, Akad’s grand declarations at the meeting and his conflict with the military faction were already well-known facts. Not even those with a lower Sequence Member-Ranking than Akad paid him any heed, let alone those ranked higher.

When Akad walked out of the room of Sequence Number 85 with a gloomy face, he saw a slightly pale Asian youth in a black trench coat.

”What do you want?”

Seeing the Asian youth blocking his way, Akad’s brow furrowed, and the scent of blood began to emanate from his body.

The Eternal Sky City was currently in ’Peace Mode,’ but threatening others at the slightest provocation was Akad’s trademark and habit!

Although he had lost all his extra ’lives,’ Akad still retained his inherent strength and skills. Possessing the skill known as the River of Death, Akad didn’t believe he would be brought low. Therefore, naturally, he had no intention whatsoever of curbing his temper!

The Asian youth opposite him, however, seemed unfazed by Akad’s foul temper. He bowed slightly, adopting a humble posture, and said in fluent English, ”I hear Master Akad is recruiting? I am untalented, but I wish to join Master Akad’s team!”

Upon hearing the Asian youth’s words, Akad finally showed a flicker of interest. ”Why?”

”Perhaps it’s because I deeply resonate with Master Akad’s ideals...”

”HEHEHEHE, very good!”

Akad gently wrapped an arm around the Asian youth’s neck and pulled him close, their foreheads touching as they stared directly into each other’s eyes.

Like two intertwining bolts of lightning, their gazes seemed to solidify, and neither backed down an inch!

Perhaps sensing certain emotions in the Asian youth’s eyes, Akad slowly released his arm from the youth’s neck. A slight smirk played on his lips, his eyes widened, and he opened his mouth, a bloody scent wafting from it. ”But! You should know, this old man’s place isn’t some scrapheap! You’re a piece of trash who isn’t even in the Sequence! On what grounds should you become my subordinate!”

With that, Akad shoved the Asian youth away and strode off without a backward glance, until a calm, unremarkable voice sounded from behind him.

”Firstly, not having obtained a Sequence rank doesn’t mean I lack strength. It was simply that, for certain reasons, I chose not to contend for one.”

”Secondly, as far as I know, when the Eternal Sky City descends to the main plane, you will face pursuit from the Earth Community’s powerful experts. Unfortunately, you lack the ability to escape them. Your current goal is undoubtedly to quickly gather a group of masters to withstand the impending attack from the military faction’s powerhouses. Am I correct?”

Upon hearing these words, Akad stopped in his tracks.

The Asian youth chuckled softly, slowly turned, and casually draped an arm over Akad’s shoulder as if they were close friends. He then leaned in and whispered into Akad’s ear.

”Actually, it doesn’t have to be so troublesome. We have a saying in Cathay: ’The most dangerous place is the safest place.’ Since you’ve offended Lin Haifeng, what place could be safer than the Yanjing Assembly Site’s outer city zone, teeming as it is with all sorts of characters?”

Hearing this, a spark ignited in Akad’s mind. He turned his head and stared intently into the Asian youth’s eyes. ”You have a way?”

The Asian youth’s lips curled slightly. ”As it happens, I control more than fifty percent of the underground forces in the Yanjing Assembly Site’s outer city zone.”

”HAHAHA... This is truly interesting... Then, from this day forward, you will use honorifics when you speak to me!”

”Of course, Master Akad. And, you may call me—Wanping.”

「In the room of Sequence Number 3—Walter.」

”Master Walter, if you join the Earth Community, then in addition to the benefits stipulated in the contract, Commander Lin has already decided to relocate all residents of your town, including your family, to the Yanjing Assembly Site. They will be provided with the fullest protection and the most suitable employment!”

Walter looked at the contract before him, a trace of hesitation on his refined features.

「Within the room of Sequence Number 4—Qin Tian.」

”Freedom! Independence! These are what we should pursue! Brother Tian, if you weren’t seeking these, I doubt you would have only revealed yourself to the world now! The moment I first saw you, old Daoist that I am, I knew you were no mere mortal! You are a flood dragon! And a flood dragon should never be shackled!”
