Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Chapter 474: Chapter 73 Ambush_1

When the Fusion Monsters landed, the professionists in Las Vegas simply didn’t have time to react!

The Star Devouring Demon had simply launched them too quickly!

So, when nearly a hundred Fusion Monsters swarmed the streets of Las Vegas, they encountered humans who were completely unprepared!

By the time a Peak Level 2 professionist spotted the Fusion Monsters, it was already too late to run!

A Fusion Monster swatted the professionist before it into a bloody pulp with a single slap, then roared to the sky and began to feast on the mangled corpse and scattered flesh.

Then, more Fusion Monsters began a bloody slaughter throughout the Las Vegas area!

A perfect ’blossoming from within’ tactic...

When the ”cannonballs” plummeted into Las Vegas, Claus was on the city wall, observing the distant Demon Fiends’ movements.

He initially thought they were some sort of long-range weapon launched by the Demon Fiends—a difficult problem to solve; for now, they could only endure it head-on! It wasn’t until disturbances erupted within the city that Claus realized what was happening!

”Victor, what’s going on?”

Victor, standing on Claus’s shoulder, squinted as he heard the question, carefully observing the situation in the Netherworld.

After a moment, Victor spoke with a heavy voice, ”A large number of Netherworld Warriors suddenly appeared in the Netherworld, and many professionists in the city have been killed! The three cannonballs just now were likely not weapons of destruction, but the enemy’s means of troop transport!”

”Damn it!” Claus cursed and quickly issued orders.

”Victor, you’re in charge of the mutant beasts outside. You must hold them off when they attack!”

He then turned, shouting at the professionists remaining on the city wall, ”Follow me and let’s slaughter all the Demon Fiends that have entered the city!”

When Claus returned to the city with Las Vegas’s elite professionists, Fusion Monsters were already everywhere!

These mindless, tactless creatures knew only to kill and eat. But the terrifying part was that these Fusion Monsters, within Las Vegas... were unparalleled!!!

Moreover, more trouble arrived when Claus returned with his subordinates. Another three volleys! A total of nine Fusion Monster flesh-projectiles smashed into Las Vegas!

The Fusion Monsters were simply endless!

At this, even Claus’s expression turned extremely grim.

Clenching his teeth, Claus told the professionists behind him, ”Charge! We’ll fight our way back to the Red Stone Hotel first!”

Looking at the batches of flesh-projectiles raining from the sky every thirty seconds, Wen Yu’s face had already darkened to the extreme!

This way of fighting is utterly shameless...

Based on his past life’s experience, the Demon Realm’s Gate couldn’t be approached for now. The Star Devouring Demon was lurking near the Demon Realm’s Gate; attempting a decapitation strike would be extremely difficult. The settlement could only passively endure round after round of attacks!

Thinking of this, Wen Yu immediately called Claus.

The communicator rang for nearly thirty seconds before Claus finally picked up.

”How’s the situation in the city?”

Claus was panting heavily on the other end of the communicator, and the continuous sounds of battle cries and roars around him painted a clear picture of the chaos.

”The situation is very bad... These monsters are too strong! Have you dealt with the Hunting Group?”

”Not yet! The Hunting Group hasn’t shown up!”

Claus was silent for a moment. ”Understood...”

Qin Tian, standing next to Wen Yu, snatched the communicator from him, anxiously asking, ”How is my sister?”

”She’s in the shelter. Arthur is guarding it, so there shouldn’t be any security issues!”

Qin Tian held the communicator blankly, clearly extremely worried!

This worry and anxiety, even with Claus’s explicit assurance that Arthur would protect the non-combatants, could not dispel Qin Tian’s fear...

The bottom line was, Qin Tian didn’t trust Arthur!

After a moment, Qin Tian gritted his teeth!

”No! I can’t worry about anything else. I have to go back!”

”Are you sure? You could actually contact Arthur to check on your sister!” Wen Yu asked.

”No, I won’t be at ease! I must go back!”

After saying this, without another word, Qin Tian immediately turned and ran towards Las Vegas.

Seeing this, Wen Yu frowned slightly, took out Faceless, and dripped Tang Haofei’s blood onto it.

Within a few seconds, Faceless completed the duplication. Then, his dark ability activated, and Wen Yu slowly blended into the night, like a blurry shadow, tailing Qin Tian closely.

”They’re here. It’s Sequence Number 4, and Sequence Number 2 is right behind him!” Argus whispered, then his body gradually faded until he completely disappeared.

When it came to concealment ability, Argus was definitely one of the best in the Demon Hunting Group!

In contrast, Wen Yu’s half-baked concealment methods were easily seen through by Argus! Moreover, as members of the Hunting Group, they naturally possessed means to identify their hunting targets.

Not far away, Qin Tian’s figure rapidly entered the sight of the three-headed demon spawn.

”How should we attack?” Marcus whispered. Argus’s voice then came through his earpiece.

”You two take out Sequence Number 4 first. I’ll directly strike Sequence Number 2.”

Upon hearing Argus’s reply, a strange light flickered in Marcus’s eyes. Then he said in a low voice, ”Then let’s begin.”

Qin Tian’s heart was filled with anxiety and agitation.

Strictly speaking, Qin Tian wasn’t overly protective of his younger sister.

Their parents had died when they were young, and they had depended on each other for survival; their bond naturally went without saying.
