Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Chapter 453: Chapter 60 In the Name of Freedom! _3

I want to survive, and many things, like the Demon Tribe and the Dominator, are after my life!

Wen Yu slowly opened the door to his bedroom.

To survive, I have to keep getting stronger. Perhaps I will never reach your heights!

Wen Yu opened the door to the conference room.

But I will definitely resist to the end!

Wen Yu, under the gaze of twenty-two people, slowly walked to the head seat.

Given that my own abilities may not reach your heights, will it be enough if I add the power of the twenty-two people below?

Wen Yu glanced around, his eyes gradually filling with a strong emotion—that was confidence, as well as the dominance of a powerful expert!

If that’s not enough, then what if I add the entire Human Race? Will that be enough?

Wen Yu lightly grasped the teacup before him and drained it in one gulp. At the same time, he felt something indescribable stirring deep within his heart!

That might be something called ambition...

As an Independent, Wen Yu had never felt this way before.

In a daze, Wen Yu found himself thinking of Tang Haofei...

Perhaps his current thoughts were more or less the same as Tang Haofei’s when he established the Ultimate Force Team.

No! It’s not the same!

When Tang Haofei first established the Ultimate Force Team, his goal was to be among the world’s elite. And now, what is my purpose?

Wen Yu ignored the people below, who were secretly stealing glances at him. After a moment of silent thought, he spoke softly.

”Freedom!!!”

At these two simple words, the entire venue instantly fell silent.

”I have been constantly pondering the purpose of establishing this organization...”

The hall was utterly silent.

”Some time ago, you all probably heard about the military’s so-called Sequence Control Plan.”

Wen Yu surveyed the room. Seeing looks of understanding on most faces, he continued.

”Since that time, I’ve been thinking that I need to establish an organization. It would be an organization where we help each other, where if one of us is in trouble, everyone else pitches in to support. Only in this way can we make it clear to the military that we Independents are not people they can coerce!”

”However, when I walked into this conference room and saw all of you, I suddenly realized... The fundamental purpose of establishing this organization isn’t merely to counter the military’s threat. We can do much more! So much more that the world will be forced to take notice!”

Wen Yu slowly looked down.

Sequence Number 4—Qin Tian.

Sequence Number 8—Carmille.

Sequence Number 13—Wang Fucai.

Sequence Number 15—Arthur, the Knight clad in heavy armor from the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle.

Sequence Number 82—Yang Hong.

Sequence Number 27, Sequence Number 29, Sequence Number 34...

Counting himself, that made twenty-three Sequence-class powerful experts! Three of them were among the top ten of the Sequence!

”This power! It’s enough to change the world!”

As these ten simple words left Wen Yu’s lips, everyone below fell silent.

The next moment, Wen Yu suddenly stood up straight!

”But I don’t want to change the world! Neither do you! If you want to change the world, joining the Earth Community is clearly a much better choice than joining this organization of only twenty-two people! So, what do we need?”

”Freedom!”

Qin Tian, to Wen Yu’s right, softly repeated the two words Wen Yu had just spoken, and then his eyes suddenly lit up.

”That’s right, it’s freedom. We want to survive, but we want to live life on our own terms, not according to a path dictated by others!”

”We don’t need power, we don’t need status, but we need to live the lives we want! We need to be ourselves, not someone else’s puppets!”

”Our demands are very simple! Truly very simple!”

”But there will always be those who covet our power and those who fear it. They’re worried we’ll become a cancer to this world, or they’ll want to take our lives!”

”This won’t do!”

”For this simple reason, we have gathered together today.”

”Now, I promise, as the founder of this organization, I will not limit your freedom. I will not force you to do things you don’t want to do. I will not issue orders to you!”

”And now, I leave the choice to you!”

”Whether or not you join this organization—this organization founded in the name of freedom!”
