Apocalypse: Master of Soul Beasts

Chapter 475: Chapter 73 Ambush_2

From childhood, protecting his sister had become his habit and instinct. She was the only family he had left... Nothing bad can happen to her... This thought spurred Qin Tian to quicken his pace.

Seeing the entrance of the Red Stone Grand Canyon right before his eyes, Qin Tian didn’t stop and rushed straight out!

The next second, Qin Tian’s body bounced back like a cannonball!

At the entrance of the canyon, a terrifying Demon Monster, standing over ten meters tall and covered in black fur, slowly crawled out from underground. With a savage expression, it stared at the collapsed Qin Tian, let out a roar that echoed across the whole Red Stone Grand Canyon, then charged towards Qin Tian at an astonishing speed!

The subterranean attack caught the anxious Qin Tian completely off guard. He had no time to react!

A humongous palm, radiating violent force, rushed at him, whipping up a wild gale aimed directly at his head.

Qin Tian barely managed to avoid a lethal hit to his vital organs, but the Giant Beast’s palm brutally struck his waist!

In an instant, bones fractured, and flesh splattered!

Fortunately, as a professionist of Peak Level 5, Qin Tian’s physique was quite impressive. Though caught off guard, the attack didn’t cause his body to burst instantly. Instead, he was slammed against the rock wall of the Red Stone Grand Canyon like a cannonball.

The force was so great that the rock wall trembled, and broken rocks rained down like raindrops.

Qin Tian struggled to prop up his upper body, ignoring the pain in his lower body. He immediately activated his ability.

Void Sword Barrier (S-Class, Active Ability): Once activated, the host’s body will be surrounded by roaming Void Sword Qi. This Qi effectively defends against external attacks and damages the attacker. However, the Void Sword Barrier will automatically disintegrate if the host launches an attack or if the Void Sword Qi is completely consumed. It then requires a long time to absorb the ambient Power of Space before it can be reactivated.

An ability that integrated both offense and defense, it was quite useful.

As soon as the Void Sword Barrier was deployed, Qin Tian swiftly opened his space ring, pulled out a large amount of healing potions, and quickly gulped them down!

Qin Tian’s lower body, from the waist down, was completely gone. His massive blood loss left him dazed; in his condition, fighting back was out of the question. If he didn’t act, bleeding out would seal his fate within a few dozen seconds!

By the time Qin Tian drank his first healing potion, the Giant Beast had already sprinted to his side.

”Die, worm!”

The Giant Beast roared terrifyingly, then its huge fist, lifted high, struck down hard at Qin Tian!

The black fist and the invisible Void Sword Barrier collided violently! Feeling the pain in its hand and the substantial defense capabilities, the Giant Beast frowned.

A Sequence Number 4 with considerable power... not too bad?

However, having taken the initiative, if I still allowed my opponent to turn the tables, I wouldn’t be worthy of being a member of the Hunting Group!

The fist, almost a meter in diameter, shot out again, its immense force causing the Void Sword Barrier to emit a series of harsh creaks.

Luckily, Qin Tian’s Void Sword Barrier had rather impressive defense capabilities. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have managed to withstand Walter’s continuous bombardment head-on for several minutes during the Sequence Member-Ranking Battle!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM...

A series of explosions echoed throughout the Red Stone Grand Canyon as the Giant Beast’s fist and Qin Tian’s Void Sword Barrier engaged in a direct contest!

As for Qin Tian, his wound had already stopped bleeding, and flesh was slowly regenerating. Still, it was clear that given the pace of his wound’s recovery and the defense capabilities of the Void Sword Barrier, he would inevitably have to face the Giant Beast in his injured state!

In contrast, although each impact on the Void Sword Barrier caused some wounds to the Giant Beast’s fist, the Giant Beast’s physical capabilities were terrifying. The instant a wound appeared, it would heal completely!

In a short amount of time, the Giant Beast had thrown hundreds of punches!

Sensing that the energy of the Void Sword Barrier was more than half drained and that Qin Tian’s wound had only regenerated to his upper thigh, the Giant Beast let out a malicious grin as it sped up its onslaught!

Argus, concealed in the darkness, watched the Giant Beast’s one-sided pounding of Qin Tian and frowned slightly...

Something wasn’t right. Marcus still hadn’t made a move!

Although the defense skills of Sequence Number 4 were acceptable, Marcus and the Giant Beast together could definitely break through Sequence Number 4’s defenses in a matter of moments, and then...

With half his body crippled, Sequence Number 4 could only await death!

Argus detected the location of Sequence Number 2. Sequence Number 2 was also interesting. Despite seeing his teammate severely wounded and their side facing an absolute disadvantage, he still showed no signs of revealing himself. He’s indeed a dispassionate and tricky opponent to deal with.

Considering Marcus’s strange behavior, Argus decided to remain hidden. The Hunting Plan didn’t have a time limit. If we can’t kill them today, there’s always tomorrow! But I only have one life!

Wen Yu, concealed in the darkness, had no idea that his presence had already been detected. Watching Qin Tian being mercilessly beaten by the Giant Beast, Wen Yu’s brows knitted together.

Should I help him?

Qin Tian being roughly mauled by the Giant Beast was entirely his own doing. Moreover, I sense danger spread throughout the canyon, which means there are still unknown enemies! Once I reveal myself, I’ll be at a disadvantage and completely at their mercy!
