Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Chapter 369: Chapter 38: What a Coincidence

”Don’t worry about that. Our investors have close ties with the local government. After the show ends, these beasts will have legal and proper documentation and become your tamed beasts. I give you my word on it!”

Abel said, ”Just say the rest in one go.”

With Abel’s backing, Chen Wen continued, ”Then let’s have some compensation in terms of tools. How many tools can you offer?”

Abel cooperated, ”Three items, at most three items, we still need to have a meeting to discuss.”

Chen Wen immediately said, ”Then it’s three items, it must be three. Otherwise, I’ll go tame an African elephant. I bet it was Yoshikawa Feng’s assistant causing trouble, right? That old guy looks like bad news. Once I’ve tamed an African elephant, I’m gonna take it to see Yoshikawa Feng and take him out first!”

In the meeting room.

Yoshikawa Feng’s assistant looked as pale as if he had swallowed a fly.

Everyone burst into laughter.

The temporary alliance fell apart, and no one cared anymore.

Looks like there’s a meeting over there!

Everyone else is there, perfect, time to collectively threaten them.

Chen Wen said, ”Got everyone gathered over there, right? How about this, let’s vote now. Whoever disagrees, I’ll target their contestant by bringing the hippo or African elephant to them. Don’t forget, they all survive near rivers. No need for me to remind you how fast hippos are in the water.”

Now, every contestant’s assistant’s face turned pale.

Come to think of it.

If Chen Wen rides on a hippo, eliminating someone would be effortless.

As the meeting room fell into silence.

Abel felt that there was no point in further discussion, ”Alright, decide on three tools you want. We all agree here.”

Someone still wanted to object.

But upon considering their contestant’s situation, they closed their mouths.

”Rope, axe.”

Chen Wen, without hesitation, mentioned the first two items.

But he was stuck on the third item.

After pondering for a while, Chen Wen said, ”The third one, let’s hold off for now. I’ll let you know when I need it.”

”Okay.”

Abel agreed without hesitation.

...

Restraining Chen Wen, despite meeting the objective, left all contestants’ assistants looking rather sour.

After all, with Chen Wen’s restrictions, their contestants also faced limitations!

And most importantly, Chen Wen had obtained tool compensation from these restrictions!

What a loss!

Everyone exchanged glances, feeling the same way.

Their contestants were restricted not much less than Chen Wen, and yet, they got no tool compensation!

This was a huge loss!

After the meeting ended, many of the contestants’ assistants started to realize.

But now that the restrictions were already set, if they were to go after Abel again.

Did they really think this director was a pushover without temper?

The helpless contestants’ assistants could only swallow their grievances.

Lin Jiawei, meanwhile, sat in front of the computer screen, pressing hard on the corners of his mouth, afraid they’d curve upwards.

...

With the tools in hand, a sly smile flashed across Chen Wen’s face.

No matter the restrictions targeted at him this time, not only did they fail to limit him, they ended up limiting other contestants instead.

It even solved the problem of taking away special animals and brought along two very crucial tools.

Great profit!

These two tools are vital to Chen Wen’s subsequent survival strategy.

With the tools secured, it’s time to consider changing strategies!

However, before that, Chen Wen planned to hunt the Nile crocodile once again.

With the hippo as a partner.

The hippo assists, while he takes the lead.

While stocking up on food, he also needs to develop some rapport with the hippo.

...

This hunt was nothing like the last, not simple or rough.

Chen Wen made detailed plans.

He divided the hunt into three steps.

First, the hippo drives the Nile crocodile ashore; Second, he uses a rope to trap the Nile crocodile; Third, he uses an axe or machete or spear to kill the Nile crocodile.

The whole plan, the most uncontrollable part, was the first step.

Therefore, after preparing the rope, Chen Wen armed himself and headed to the river to find the hippo.

When Chen Wen arrived, the hippo was in the water blowing bubbles.

Chen Wen patted the water surface, catching the hippo’s attention.

The hippo recognized Chen Wen’s scent and slowly approached.

”What’s up? What are those things you’re bringing?”

The hippo, looking at the new tools in Chen Wen’s hand, couldn’t help but ask.

Chen Wen lightly waved his hand, putting the items down.

After turning off the sound equipment, he said, ”Next, I’ll need your help. We’re going crocodile hunting together.”

Hunting Nile crocodiles?

The hippo’s eyes suddenly lit up.

”Alright! What’s your plan? I can wound the crocodile, but I can’t kill them.”

The armory of the Nile crocodiles can’t be torn by the hippo’s tusks.

Therefore, most often, the hippo and crocodile fights are just fights, deciding winners and losers, but not life and death.

Hearing this, Chen Wen laughed, ”This time you don’t need to exert force, just need to use your voice.”

With that, Chen Wen explained his plan.
