Wilderness Survival with Druid System

Chapter 366: Chapter 37: Restricting Chen Wen

As Brad pressed the satellite phone, it signified the end of survival for the first contestant.

In this show, Abel added a novel new segment.

When a contestant is eliminated, they can say a ”final word” to each fellow contestant.

After a brief moment of thought, Brad said his ”final words”.

”Do not provoke Chen Wen! I’ll repeat, do not provoke Chen Wen!”

After Brad finished speaking, he smiled at Chen Wen.

Chen Wen also smiled.

With Brad doing this, it would certainly make the other contestants extremely wary of him.

But things have two sides.

While other contestants remain wary, they will also be more cautious in targeting Chen Wen.

This also granted Chen Wen a prolonged period of peaceful development.

”Well, this indeed buys me some time.”

Chen Wen said, ”Once I try taming a hippo or an African elephant, I’ll be able to crush the others.”

Brad chuckled: ”No matter what, if others team up to eliminate you, I’m happy; if you crush others to win, I’m equally happy. Whatever the result, I’m glad.”

”Got it, you’ve got quite the attitude.”

Chen Wen laughed and said: ”Have you ever eaten crocodile meat?”

Crocodile meat?

Brad was stunned for a moment, then said: ”You’ve got...”

”The production crew will arrive in about half an hour. Let’s have one last meal as a send-off.”

Chen Wen said and swiftly climbed up the tree, retrieving nearly a pound of roasted crocodile meat.

The exceptionally tender roasted crocodile meat made Brad’s eyes widen.

”You...actually hunted a crocodile?!”

Brad exclaimed in shock.

”Just lucky.”

Chen Wen said as he placed the crocodile meat on two sticks to heat over the campfire.

”After heating, it tastes not bad. Give it a try.”

After heating, Chen Wen handed the crocodile meat to Brad.

Brad rubbed his hands, swallowing: ”Then I won’t hold back, eating Nile crocodile meat is probably a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!”

Tasting a bite of crocodile meat, Brad looked at Chen Wen in surprise: ”Your cooking is this good?”

”Haha, as long as it tastes good.”

Chen Wen said with a smile.

Someone appreciating his cooking, it did feel good.

Brad ate the meat in big mouthfuls and finally sighed comfortably.

At that moment, accompanied by the sound of engines roaring.

The production crew arrived.

Brad thought for a moment, then took off his t-shirt and shorts and handed them to Chen Wen.

With a puzzled look from Chen Wen, Brad turned off the sound equipment and whispered: ”I had planned with Yoshikawa Feng to eliminate you, but he backed out. I hate betrayals, so I don’t want him to survive till the end.”

”We had an agreement to use a shirt as a means to recognize each other. If you want to strike against him, you can use my shirt to deceive him.”

Hearing this, Chen Wen looked at Brad in shock.

This brother is truly genuine!

Receiving Brad’s clothes, Chen Wen said: ”Don’t worry, these clothes will definitely come in handy.”

...

As Brad, now only in his underwear, was taken away by staff.

The other still awake contestants received the news of Brad’s elimination and his ”final words”.

Upon hearing this news, Feng Zhong’s eyes flashed with surprise.

Although he estimated Chen Wen’s capability somewhat, eliminating a contestant this quickly still surprised him.

The ”final words” made Feng Zhong extremely wary.

What did Chen Wen do?

What made Brad say such a thing?

It seems any cooperation with Chen Wen warrants precaution!

Feng Zhong thought secretly.

...

The night-guarding Rock awakened Adam, and the two listened to the ”final words” together.

”Did Chen Wen make a move?”

Rock couldn’t help but think.

Adam shook his head slightly: ”I’m more inclined to think Brad approached Chen Wen and then was countered.”

”Chen Wen isn’t an aggressively offensive person. He prefers peaceful growth in the early stages and decides victory later on.”

After a brief pause, Rock said: ”That’s even more terrifying; he countered Brad unguarded, even making Brad say that. His true strength might be higher than we imagined. Can the two of us really win against Chen Wen?”

”In critical moments, we can unite with Feng Zhong to eliminate Chen Wen.”

Adam suddenly said.

Rock gave Adam a shocked glance.

Adam shook his head: ”I haven’t allied with Feng Zhong, but I know him. He’s someone with a strong competitive spirit; if Chen Wen’s threat makes him wary, he’ll prioritize eliminating Chen Wen.”

Rock twitched his mouth: ”This person... is quite interesting.”

This conversation wasn’t hidden from the camera, therefore it reached the ears of Lin Jiawei, who was still observing.

He looked strangely at Feng Zhong’s assistant, who was also there.

The assistant’s expression was somewhat awkward.

After a simple reaction, Feng Zhong’s assistant quickly left.

...

Yoshikawa Feng also wasn’t asleep, due to hunger.

Upon hearing the news, Yoshikawa Feng broke out in a cold sweat and sat up.

How was it possible?

It’s only been a few days?

And was it really Brad ambushing Chen Wen?

But was eliminated just like that?

And made Brad so frightened?

Chen Wen’s strength... terrifying!

Sitting in the shelter, Yoshikawa Feng thought for a while, made a firm decision in his heart.

Finding an ally is essential, absolutely avoid seeking Chen Wen!

...

Ivan, however, wasn’t much affected.

”The first eliminated contestant appeared, huh? I wonder how Vanessa is doing now. With her ability, lasting ten days shouldn’t be hard. Let’s continue moving forward during this time.”

Ivan held a bow and arrows, reclining against a tree, resting with his head down.

...

Kaelian heard the news in the newly built makeshift shelter.

She felt a bit nervous.

Because she’s quite close to Rock-Adam, she saw Rock searching for food across the riverbank in the afternoon.

The elimination of the first contestant indicates someone’s impatience to take action!

Where is Jamie?

Kaelian couldn’t help thinking.

...

On Chen Wen’s end.

He didn’t care what others thought.

This time’s gain wasn’t much, but it was sufficient.

A machete made up for the lack of weapons.

Waterproof fabric, to renovate shelters.

Empty tin cans, once cleaned, could be used as pots.

Brad’s clothes, Chen Wen laid them out on the platform, intending to use them as a bedsheet.

Meanwhile, the message Brad mentioned also caught Chen Wen’s attention.

He planned to try it out eventually.

Even if it’s of no use, it poses no harm.

After tidying up briefly, Chen Wen began to rest.

...

Next morning.

As contestants began their daily survival tasks.

On the production side, Abel was surprisingly blocked by the assistants of seven contestants.

Except for Brad, Chen Wen, and Feng Zhong’s assistants, the others were all there.

The scene was quite imposing.

”What’s the meaning of this?”

Abel looked at them with surprise and asked: ”What’s the meaning of this...?”

”Limit Chen Wen!”

Yoshikawa Feng’s assistant was the first to charge forward: ”His Beast Taming ability is just ridiculously overpowered! If he manages to tame a hippo too, just hand him the championship directly.”

Adam and Rock’s assistants weren’t as aggressive in their tone.

But they also expressed concerns: ”Indeed, a hippo that follows commands would be a game-changer in fights between contestants. We also think it requires careful consideration.”

”At the very least, Chen Wen shouldn’t be allowed to drive beasts into battle, or any beast-driving battle techniques should be stopped entirely.”

This was Vanessa and Ivan’s assistants’ opinion.

Upon hearing this, Yoshikawa Feng’s assistant’s expression changed slightly.

Yoshikawa Feng was especially skilled in driving beasts to attack others.

But to limit Chen Wen, they’ll admit defeat!
