Chapter 921: Chapter 10: It Could Be Fatal

After Su Xiao gave seven Soul Crystals (small), Sha agreed to teach him the ’Beast Intuition’ ability.

”If you want to master Beast Intuition, you must be prepared to die in the process.”

Sha walked to the side and searched in a miscellaneous box. Soon, she found a piece of black cloth. The material of the black cloth was very thick.

”Put this on.”

Sha tossed the black cloth strip to Su Xiao. As soon as he caught the strip, his expression changed. His Perception Force was completely suppressed inside his body upon touching the black strip. This suppression was very thorough. He closed his eyes and tried to perceive his surroundings, but his Perception Force was completely absent.

”Just a heads up, if he dies, don’t blame me. This is part of the deal, same as with the dozens who died before.”

Sha didn’t know who she was talking to, maybe Alice.

Su Xiao gave Bubu Wang a look, and Bubu Wang understood. He didn’t know much about Sha, but if he wore this thing and she had murderous intent, he wouldn’t sense anything at all.

Hesitating for a moment, Su Xiao covered his eyes with the black cloth strip. His sight was blocked and his Perception Force was suppressed. This feeling, he hadn’t experienced in a long time.

”Mastering Beast Intuition requires a process. For most people, perceiving an enemy’s attack relies on Basic Perceptive Power. Compared to vision, Basic Perceptive Power is indeed faster, but it also involves a process. You need to first capture the enemy’s attack trajectory, then transmit it to the brain, the brain issues a command, and the body makes corresponding defensive actions. Beast Intuition is different. It omits this process. Once you master Beast Intuition, you’ll find Basic Perceptive Power too slow. Beast Intuition bypasses the brain’s reaction process, and when you capture the enemy’s attack, your body will immediately make defensive movements. That’s Beast Intuition.”

Sha stood behind Su Xiao, flexing her knuckles. Unlike an ordinary woman’s slender fingers, her knuckles were large. Even though her skin was fair, it was exceptionally tough.

”Back.”

As soon as Sha’s voice dropped, she punched towards Su Xiao’s back.

By the time Su Xiao heard Sha’s shout, her fist had already arrived.

Bang!

The fist hit Su Xiao’s spine directly, and a sense of swelling pain came. Sha’s punch diminished his Physical Defense, with the force penetrating his muscles and bones, directly impacting his organs.

Su Xiao staggered forward a few steps, a bloody taste rushing to his throat. He nearly spat blood from this punch by Sha.

”Hmm? Did you just dodge?”

Sha looked confused.

”Of course, when your fist came, isn’t it normal to instinctively dodge?”

Although Su Xiao’s sight and Perception were sealed, as Sha’s fist approached him, an instinctive sense of danger arose. This feeling occurred many times before. It’s not perceiving the enemy’s attack, but rather an indescribable intuition.

”Have you mastered an ability similar to intuition? No, during your previous battles, you relied entirely on the most Basic Perceptive Power.”

Sha was a bit puzzled. But upon hearing Sha’s words, Su Xiao suddenly recalled that he indeed possessed a Perception-related skill.

[Heart’s Eye: Level 10 (Passive) Full Level]

Effect 1: Greatly enhances Perception sensitivity and range, with a 65% chance to perceive attacks from behind.

Effect 2: 10% chance to capture the enemy’s flaws during attack or defense; successfully capturing a flaw triggers ’Super Limit’ state.

Super Limit: Temporarily unleashes all potential, effect lasts for 3 seconds, cooldown 12 hours.

...

Su Xiao had mastered the Heart-eye Ability for a long time, but after lengthy practice, he found the ability practically useless. Effect 2’s ’Super Limit’ ability had never been triggered. The skill only enhanced Perception Sensitivity + Perception range, with no other effect. He always suspected he had learned a fake skill.

Su Xiao briefly described the Heart’s Eye ability to Sha. A few minutes later, Sha’s laughter echoed through the room.

”Hahaha, with such an ability, and you’ve been using the most Basic Perceptive Power all along? Who’s your mentor? If he’s dead, he must have died from an enemy’s sneak attack.”

Sha sat cross-legged on the bed, laughing heartily while slapping her thigh, with no ladylike demeanor whatsoever.

”I don’t have a mentor. What’s wrong with this fighting style?”

”It’s very wrong. This ability of yours has never had an effect, right?”

”Yes.”

”It would be a miracle if it worked. Perception has many types. All along, you’ve been relying on the most Basic Perceptive Force. It’s like fetching water with a bucket, and you’ve bought the bucket, yet you still use bare hands, can the bucket be put to use? I’m putting it bluntly, but that’s essentially the point.

Perception arises when your Spiritual Power is strong. It’s the most Basic capability and an instinct you’ll use subconsciously. As for your Heart-eye Ability, it’s a shallow application of Perception. Whether it’s your ability or Beast Intuition, both are based on Perceptive Power and advanced from it. Compared to your Heart’s Eye, Beast Intuition is much more High-level.”

Sha, experienced and knowledgeable, in her former world, combat was an academic subject, and a major one at that. Moreover, before being imprisoned in the Demon Castle, aside from essential rest, Sha spent the majority of her time battling or fleeing.

”Now that your Basic Perceptive Power is sealed, unable to instinctively use Perception, you’ll subconsciously activate this Heart’s Eye Ability. This ability can expedite your mastering of Beast Intuition. Don’t repel it, continue.”

Sha jumped down from the bed.

”How long do I need to master Beast Intuition?”

This was Su Xiao’s primary concern, as he had less than three days.

”If you have strong resilience, you can master it in a day, provided you don’t die. When you can dodge my attacks with just your body instead of Perceptive Power, you can officially practice Beast Intuition. Right now, you’re just laying the foundation.”

Sha swung her fist, and Su Xiaoping tried to stay calm, endeavoring to capture the opponent’s attacks.

At this moment, his Heart-eye Ability was fully activated. This was a Perceptive distinct from Basic Perceptive Power.

In Su Xiao’s perception, a fist approached rapidly towards his back. His body began to veer to the side.

He could dodge!

Bang!

Su Xiao’s back took a heavy punch, propelling him towards the front wall.

Bang, another dull sound echoed as Su Xiao’s forehead hit the wall, dazing him. He instinctively reached to pull off the black cloth strip when Sha shouted.

”Don’t take it off, or you’d have taken a beating for nothing. Until you can dodge one punch from me, you can’t remove this item. Then I’ll teach you the knowledge of Beast Intuition.”

Su Xiao’s hand paused in the air, ultimately not choosing to remove the blindfold. If Sha truly harbored deadly intent, the initial punch certainly wouldn’t be aimed at his back but his head. Moreover, when that punch was delivered, Sha announced the attack location in advance and used only thirty percent of her strength.

”You’ve already adapted to two punches, next up is the head. Only when your life is truly threatened will your potential be fully revealed.”

Hearing Sha mention hitting his head, Su Xiao’s expression turned serious. Considering Sha’s punch power, if she hit full force, he’d suffer severe injuries or even die in less than three punches. Cultivating Beast Intuition could be fatal; Sha wasn’t joking.
