Chapter 902: Chapter 32: Exhilarating Battle

In Su Xiao’s mind, he categorized One-Way Street’s ability as reflective damage + kinetic energy alteration + kinetic energy control, making it easier to devise a strategy.

After reflecting Su Xiao’s powerless fist, One-Way Street stomped on the ground, pushing a powerful kinetic energy outward along the surface.

Su Xiao had been hit by this move five times before, so as One-Way Street bent his knee, Su Xiao had already leaped half a meter into the air.

The shockwave spread, and as Su Xiao’s feet landed, successfully dodging the attack, his left fist swung towards One-Way Street’s chin, seemingly imitating the method used by Mokuhara Motokazu in the original work, but that was not the case.

This punch, Su Xiao used his full strength, and as his fist touched One-Way Street’s skin, a tremendous force came at him.

Bam!

The energy shield wrapped around Su Xiao’s fist shattered, cracks appeared on his hand bones, and his body was pushed backward by the reverse kinetic energy.

Su Xiao fully shifted his weight downward, and with a loud boom, his feet sank into the alloy floor, sending a large piece of alloy floor flying behind him.

Withstanding the impact with his body, Su Xiao felt a aching sensation throughout, but his eyes stayed fixed on One-Way Street.

One-Way Street knew this couldn’t continue; although unclear of his enemy’s intentions, he couldn’t have close combat with such a dangerous foe, absolutely not.

Su Xiao’s third punch was thrown, this time with his right hand, the punch moving incredibly fast, almost leaving a shadow in the air.

As the fist grazed One-Way Street’s skin, One-Way Street instinctively used his ability, yet those light red mist that always enveloped him surged, causing him to momentarily lose focus as if paralyzed by fear.

Seeing this, Su Xiao’s eyes gleamed; after three attempts, he finally triggered one effect of the Release of Breath ability, causing the enemy to enter a State of Fear and having an 8% chance of skill failure upon release.

Superpowers are a type of skill, and while reviewing Maiye Shenli’s data, Su Xiao had noticed this point, and now, One-Way Street’s ability failed, even if just for an instant.

Bam!

Su Xiao punched One-Way Street’s chin; he didn’t use a knife but his fist, as the fist could more accurately sense whether One-Way Street’s ability failed.

Su Xiao’s physical condition is extremely powerful, and with one punch, the result was predictable.

The fist hit One-Way Street’s chin hard, the bone in One-Way Street’s jaw began to twist, deform, and eventually shatter.

With a crack, flesh and teeth splattered, Su Xiao’s fist was stained with blood, One-Way Street’s face below his nose was completely smashed, and his neck twisted unnaturally.

”Hoo~”

One-Way Street’s eyes turned white. Despite taking such a heavy punch, he didn’t faint, because the mutated Intelligence Attribute of a superpower user is strong; it’s not easy to faint. He stretched his palm forward, pressing towards Su Xiao’s chest, intent on mutual destruction.

In a haze of consciousness, One-Way Street suddenly thought of something: the more than ten thousand Misaka sisters he had killed; did they feel the same before dying? Was it as painful? No, they should have been more painful. Sometimes, when in a bad mood, he would torture these Misaka sisters in many ways.

For some reason, One-Way Street had an ’absurd’ thought, that he deserved this fate, fearfully not resisting his fate, venting his anger at a group of naive clones, yet before his retribution, he wanted mutual destruction with the enemy!

Dragon Slash appeared in Su Xiao’s hand; he had just delivered a heavy punch to One-Way Street, who would be stunned for at least 3 to 5 seconds.

The long knife slashed down, blood splattered several meters away, decisively and neatly,

With a thud, One-Way Street’s body hit the ground, his arm outstretched, clearly his intent of mutual destruction with Su Xiao failed.

After taking such a heavy punch from Su Xiao, One-Way Street’s jaw was completely shattered, his spine dislocated; in this state, performing complex calculations was impossible; focusing was difficult, let alone mutual destruction.

...

Beside One-Way Street’s corpse, a golden treasure box lay quietly. Surprisingly, Su Xiao found fighting One-Way Street enjoyable; both of them had the common goal of killing the other, but One-Way Street’s will to murder wasn’t decisive; he seemed a little lost, while Su Xiao was not lost at all, because he had his own goals and principles. He didn’t resist killing but wouldn’t aimlessly kill, as that would make his will more indistinct, turning him into a purposeless homicidal maniac. Of course, Su Xiao was aware that one day he might be killed by someone else; it’s a rule, he must take on the risk of being killed while killing.

Just as Su Xiao was about to step towards the golden treasure box, footsteps came from behind him.

Clap, clap, clap...

Sparse clapping was heard, and a dead-fish-eyed young man approached from a distance.

”A brilliant battle. If I’m not mistaken, you used some skill to temporarily disrupt One-Way Street’s superpower. With One-Way Street’s weak constitution, even a momentary inability to use his superpower is fatal.”

The dead-fish-eyed young man smiled, standing not far away, with a symbol on his forehead, representing Pride.

”Of course.”

Another female voice came; a school-uniformed girl walked out from a dark laboratory.

”One-Way Street’s ability can be broken, but few can kill him.”

The girl stood near the dead-fish-eyed boy, also with a symbol on her forehead, representing Envy.

”It seems One-Way Street blocked your way; given the situation, one of you had to die.”

A slightly plump middle-aged man walked over, the symbol on his forehead representing Sloth.

”Mr. Hunter, from my observation, there’s over an 80% chance you’re on a Tier 3 Promotion Task. Usually, promotion tasks don’t occur in Derivative Worlds, but considering the last world was War World, it’s not unusual, and there are many precedents.”

This time a seductive woman spoke, representing Lust.

”There are only four derivative worlds available for Tier 3 Promotion Tasks. The Forbidden World of Magic is the most common one, and it has three promotion tasks: Survival in the Middle East, the Sword of Ortolani from the Magic Side, and the Academy City’s Mortal Soul Codex. Obtaining the Mortal Soul Codex is the easiest, but the task difficulty is the highest, as it requires performing the task under Aleister’s supervision.”

A chubby little fatty came forward, representing Gluttony.

Pride, Envy, Sloth, Lust, and Gluttony appeared; only Wrath and Greed remain.

”You have no intention of leaving Academy City, which indicates your task is the Mortal Soul Codex.”

A gaunt man stepped out, representing Greed.

”It’s a pity, fearing Aleister too much, I took a step late. If I could get the Mortal Soul Codex sooner, I’d have more plans.”

A heavily muscled man emerged, representing Wrath.

All seven representing the Seven Desires appeared and spoke in unison.

”Mr. Hunter, pleased to meet you for the first time; I am Seven Sin Desires. Let’s make a trade, benefiting you and me, and I am holding back a lot of troubles for you.”

All seven bowed to Su Xiao, as the abnormal violator ’appeared,’ yet Su Xiao received no prompt, indicating these seven were not the true entity of Seven Sin Desires.

Seven Sin Desires might not be the strongest violator Su Xiao has encountered, but certainly the most mysterious, as this was his second proactive contact with Su Xiao.
