Reincarnation Paradise Park

Chapter 905: Chapter 35: Sending You Fireworks

After Seven Sin Desires returned to Reincarnation Paradise, Su Xiao’s Hunter mission underwent changes.

[Hint: Hunter mission completed. Completion rate 94%.]

[You have received Golden Honor Medal ×2, authority increased to Level 3.]

[Hint: Due to the Hunter mission completion rate exceeding 90%, you have received an additional reward, one spin on the Wheel of Fate.]

...

Upon seeing the additional reward for the Hunter mission, Su Xiao sneered; he had heard of the Wheel of Fate before. It is said that the items produced by this thing are varied, including equipment, attribute enhancement potions, skill scrolls, living items, and food, and the chance to draw is rare.

However, Su Xiao wasn’t too interested in this sort of thing, having resistant feelings towards most of the drawing-type rewards after ’experimentation’ over a long period of time, with the exception of treasure chests, as the value of items from treasure chests is relatively stable.

The lessons from repeatedly drawing Scarlet Cards were fresh in his memory. As of today, Su Xiao hardly opens Scarlet Cards himself, leaving it to Bubu Wang.

As for the Wheel of Fate, it might have to be drawn by himself; it’s unlikely that Bubu Wang could do it on his behalf.

For this Hunter mission, Su Xiao also thought he would have to struggle arduously, as this was the norm. He realized now it was not the case; the title of ’Abnormal’ doesn’t seem to mean that this violator is extremely dangerous. When Su Xiao met Seven Sin Desires, it was more about Seven Sin Desires expressing his attitude because Reincarnation Paradise would never actively negotiate with violators, as everything in Reincarnation Paradise is conducted according to certain regulations.

Seven Sin Desires can be dubbed as the ’Siberian Husky’ among violators. If other violators saw today’s scene, they would surely say, ’Seven Sin Desires, you’ve disgraced yourself. Leave the group.’

Seven Sin Desires actually ’left the group,’ and all forbidden-related memories were permanently erased, no longer remembering having met Su Xiao.

Though Seven Sin Desires seemed timid, Su Xiao wouldn’t scorn him. The opponent was quite self-aware, knowing that the power he had wasn’t earned through battle, but was more like a windfall.

Facing a Hunter like Su Xiao, who accumulated strength bit by bit through battle, Seven Sin Desires wasn’t deluded by his strong attributes and clearly understood that if truly conducted a life-and-death battle, the Hunter cornered into a desperate situation would surely be a fierce and abnormal being.

Having only fought a few times, Seven Sin Desires chose wisely to yield, and he did so at the right moment. First, he showcased his ability (Scythe of Seven Desires), which clearly meant: ’I’m not to be messed with, you better not come after me. I can control others’ desires and emotions, very strong.’

After that, Seven Sin Desires resumed his old business of gathering intelligence within Academy City. During this, he also contacted several Contractors, getting quite a lot of intelligence under false pretenses. Recently, he discovered that Su Xiao might have had a skirmish with One-Way Street. Having obtained this piece of information, Seven Sin Desires began to prepare.

He went from mysterious to gradually chicken-hearted to spilling out grievances to completely chicken-hearted.

If Su Xiao had made a move as soon as he met Seven Sin Desires, there was a more than 60% probability that Seven Sin Desires would immediately turn and run; he wouldn’t engage in battle, hence why he only appeared after Su Xiao fought One-Way Street, which seemed safer.

During the time Su Xiao killed One-Way Street, he was puzzled as Aleister’s people actually didn’t come forward to stop him, which wasn’t normal. Now it seemed Seven Sin Desires used his ability to stall Aleister’s men.

As the story progresses to now, Su Xiao wants to leave Academy City as soon as possible and return to Reincarnation Paradise.

As for why not return to Reincarnation Paradise now, the reason is simple; being in a state of battle makes it impossible to return to Reincarnation Paradise; the Hunting Dog Unit has infiltrated the research facility, and a sniper has already locked onto Su Xiao.

Information is indeed a form of power. Actually, Seven Sin Desires hadn’t completely chickened out before; he was ’battling’ Su Xiao with information, using his best skills to ’battle’ Su Xiao; this kind of battle didn’t involve blood but was equally dangerous.

As long as he leaves Academy City, Su Xiao’s time in this Derivative World would come to an end. He had earlier realized that the stay in this Derivative World wouldn’t be very long because he was here to complete the ascension task, not the main task.

The main task ensures a deeper linkage between Su Xiao and the Derivative World, typically divided into several stages with longer tasks, while the ascension task consists of only one stage and is not as intricately related to the Derivative World.

Su Xiao tossed a Golden Treasure Box in his hand. His harvest in the Forbidden World of Magic wasn’t bad. Without a main task, obtaining such harvest already was quite satisfactory.

”Bubu, get ready to run.”

Su Xiao flipped himself onto Bubu Wang’s back while taking out an electronic map. Currently, their location in District 2 is at the edge of Academy City, while the research facility lies near the center of District 2. By charging straight south, they could soon break out beyond the domain of Academy City.

”Woof.”

Bubu Wang let out a bark, both man and dog were covered in light, not knowing how many guns were trained on them.

”Run!”

Su Xiao shouted, and dozens of small white frogs around him exploded simultaneously. These were the alchemy bombs he had deployed in advance, initially against Seven Sin Desires.

Boom!

The flames burgeoned within the research facility, the shockwave spreading swiftly, flinging the members of the Hunting Dog Troops high into the air.

Bubu Wang charged straight toward the perimeter wall of the research facility, seemingly planning to crash directly into it.

The blade glimmered as it cut through; the wall in front of Bubu Wang was shattered. It leaped, springing through the gap in the outer wall, the glaring sunlight causing Bubu Wang to squint.

Landing on the ground, Bubu Wang drifted at a ninety-degree angle, its hind legs kicking rapidly, its fluffy tail balancing its perplexingly comical landing stance.

Just as Bubu Wang was about to sprint forward, Su Xiao’s pupils, on its back, contracted sharply. The golden Mystery Mark on his sleeve flickered visibly.

Thud!

An invisible wave spread abruptly, revealing countless tadpole-shaped symbols suspended in the air around Su Xiao. The space within a 50-meter radius was thus sealed.

On a nearby rooftop, a twin-tailed girl stood gazing at Su Xiao.

”The ability... failed?”

The girl held a military flashlight, her eyes filled with bewilderment. This was Yukidaseki Tanxi.

Zing!

A pale blue blade aura, five meters in diameter, flew toward her from a distance, causing Yukidaseki Tanxi’s entire body to grow cold.

Boom, boom, boom...

A mass of debris materialized in front of Yukidaseki Tanxi, including metal seats and laboratory equipment.

With a swishing sound, everything in front of the blade aura was cleaved apart, a red ponytail flying into the air.

Kneeling on the ground, Yukidaseki Tanxi clutched her head with one hand, blood trickling down her cheek, gasping for breath. When executing tasks along with Su Xiao, she hadn’t noticed anything unusual, but now in opposition, Yukidaseki Tanxi genuinely felt the merciless killing intent of Su Xiao.

”So... this man who sat in the same car with me, completely silent, is actually so terrifying, yet a task is a task. Without striving, I won’t survive either.”

As Yukidaseki Tanxi tried to stand up, a small white snake slithered up near her.

”Not good!”

Yukidaseki Tanxi immediately attempted to employ her spatial ability.

Boom!

A wave of gas hit head-on, while Yukidaseki Tanxi concentrated all her focus to Flash Move several metal fragments rushing toward her.

Not to mention Yukidaseki Tanxi, who was bewildered by Su Xiao’s relentless string of attacks, Bubu Wang by this time had already managed to carry Su Xiao far beyond her range of ability.

Spider Queen appeared in Su Xiao’s grasp; he pulled the bolt, taking aim at the small fighter jet soaring in the sky and fired a round.

Bang!

One shot and the small fighter jet shattered completely. Su Xiao shifted aim, attempting to locate Yukidaseki Tanxi with the targeting scope, but regrettably, she wasn’t in the shooting angle.

After stowing away Spider Queen, Su Xiao extracted a detonator.

”Wait, perhaps we can talk.”

Aleister’s voice emanated, originating from a nearby trash-can-shaped robot.

”Talk? Too late.”

Su Xiao was capable of creating Sun God·Apollo; manufacturing a powerful bomb within the technologically advanced city of Academy City wasn’t a difficult task.

As for where it had been manufactured, it was at the inn where Su Xiao had previously met with Tsuchimikado Motoharu. After negotiating about the Mokuhara Clan with Aleister, what appeared to be a fit of rage—in the destruction of the Airopathic Circuit within the room—was anything but irrational. He had gathered numerous materials for bomb-making within his storage space, requiring a locale beyond Aleister’s surveillance to craft a bomb of considerable power.

From the moment an agreement was reached with Aleister initially, Su Xiao was well aware that Aleister wasn’t trustworthy. This fellow had once sacrificed his wife; let alone other people.

Once Su Xiao disrupted Aleister’s plan, Aleister could certainly turn against him, for example right now, as Su Xiao killed One-Way Street, disturbing the balance of Aleister’s expectations.

In Aleister’s original plan, Su Xiao’s fight with One-Way Street was still within his control; however, the intervention by Seven Sin Desires impeded Aleister’s control over the situation’s progress.

Aleister’s large-scale agenda appeared watertight on the surface; however, he overlooked the presence of Contractors, an existence beyond his comprehension, necessitating a payback.

Once Bubu Wang had sprinted far enough, Su Xiao activated the detonator in his grasp.

”Here’s a ’firework’ for you, Aleister, pity I can’t send you a ’sun’ as well.”
