Chapter 906: Chapter 36: Hades

Academy City, District 2, Heavy Industry Zone, on the street.

Sparks flew as a robot, sliced into three parts, attempted to stand up. Its electronic eye flickered a few times before the robot was discarded.

The smell of blood permeated the air. A member of the Hunting Dog Unit leaned against a trash can on the side of the street. He was wearing a black combat suit, clutching his throat with one hand. As his body convulsed, blood flowed from the corner of his mouth and the gash on his throat.

If you look towards the center of District 2 along this street, you would find numerous mecha wreckage and the corpses of Hunting Dog Unit members along the way, reminiscent of a ’beast’ charging out of the center of District 2, crushing any obstacles in its path.

The edge of District 2.

Da-da-da...

A heavy machine gun spat fire, and a soldier shook with the swaying of the machine gun, forming a chain of bullets, furiously bombarding a waste treatment plant.

Not only were over twenty heavy machine guns furiously bombarding the waste treatment plant, but also unmanned combat drones occasionally whistled past in the sky, dropping small missiles that left a trail of fire as they bombarded the waste treatment plant.

More than two-thirds of the waste treatment plant had been demolished, with concrete fragments flying and thick smoke rising, within which you could vaguely see flames.

Compared to here, the scene at the center of District 2 was even more terrifying, with flames rising into the sky, having burned for over half an hour.

Dozens of fire trucks were weaving through District 2, yet whether dousing with water or spraying dry powder fire extinguishing materials, the green flames remained inextinguishable, instead continuing to spread. Even a few air-based superpower users couldn’t suppress the burning of these flames.

Cement, metal, asphalt. Anything touched by this green flame became combustible over 80% of the time. At present, the center of District 2 had turned into a sea of fire, with over a quarter of the whole district being devoured by green fire.

Needless to say, this was the bomb created by Su Xiao. Precisely speaking, it was an extremely unstable large incendiary bomb comprising: Fire Gold (642g), Uranium Enrichment (12000g), Fissionable Combustible Material (6725g), Compressed Solid Oxygen (7534g), Green Phosphorus Solution Extract (756g).

These were the main components of the large incendiary bomb, along with various materials for catalysis, stabilization, and combustion.

Were Yan Chen or the Counterfeit Clown to see these green flames, they would immediately think of the Green Phosphorus Burning Bottle.

Su Xiao hadn’t created the Green Phosphorus Burning Bottle; that item was a weapon from the War World, and whether Su Xiao or Xi, they could be burned to death if hit by it directly.

Though he hadn’t developed the Green Phosphorus Burning Bottle, Su Xiao had become very familiar with the Green Phosphorus Solution. When the War World ended, instead of spending time at the Arena during his stay in Reincarnation Paradise, he secluded himself in his private room to study the Green Phosphorus Solution.

Now, this large incendiary bomb was a product of the fusion of Green Phosphorus Solution and technology. In terms of power, it was less than Apollo’s instantaneous lethal power, but in terms of damage to buildings, it even surpassed Apollo.

This unquenchable incendiary bomb exploded within District 2, making Aleister unable to remain calm. The few hundred unmanned combat drones hovering over District 2, along with Anbu members and several hundred soldiers of the Hunting Dog Unit, indicated that Aleister meant to kill Su Xiao by any means available, deploying most of his subordinates to surround and eliminate Su Xiao, except for leaving the Windowless Building.

However, those Anbu members weren’t exerting much effort. For instance, Emperor Yanchen, ranked second in superpower, was admiring the fire in District 2.

Roaring sounds continuously emanated from the edge of District 2 as unmanned combat drones passed through the sky.

Su Xiao hid inside a waste treatment plant, which had mostly been destroyed. Through the Alchemy Raven, he could see the situation outside.

”There’s currently no risk of being surrounded; the burning potential of ’Hades’ is good, but the flame’s spread speed is too slow, even slower than normal flames, and it requires modifications. It seems incorporating uranium enrichment was a wrong choice. But... the enemy has witnessed the power of Hades, which simplifies things.”

Su Xiao named the Green Phosphorus Incendiary Bomb ’Hades,’ which aptly described the green flames of the underworld.

If Apollo was ferocious, leaving no grass alive within a kilometer upon one detonation, then Hades was a persistent blaze that continuously spread. The initial burning range of Hades was only five meters, but if it spread fully, the burning range would expand to at least 5000-6000 meters, or 5-6 kilometers.

Hades and Apollo served different purposes. In terms of combat, Apollo was more suited for battle. As for Hades, it was a destructive measure meant to burn the enemy’s home base. Using it to kill enemies was not ideal, as even elderly people with bad legs could outrun Hades’ spreading speed.

Boom!

A loud noise came from above Su Xiao, and a trail of dust fell on his head. Having rested enough, he had to continue breaking through.

Shing~

Dozens of blade aura appeared abruptly, slicing through the concrete layer above, as Bubu Wang carried Su Xiao out of the waste treatment plant.

As soon as Su Xiao appeared, those unmanned combat drones immediately swooped down.

”Aleister, believe it or not, I’ll send you another ’firework.’

However, Su Xiao’s threat seemed ineffective, as those unmanned combat drones continued to swoop down towards him.

”The second one is at the Seventh School District.”

Upon saying this, Su Xiao took out another detonator.

In the Windowless Building of the Seventh School District, Aleister hung upside down inside a glass pillar. Through the Airopathic Circuit, he saw Su Xiao take out a second detonator, and Aleister’s expression changed, his pupils narrowed rapidly.

The Second District was a heavy industry zone with sparse population, but not the Seventh District, where many students lived—over 70% of them residing in the Seventh District, which was the largest of the twenty-three districts in Academy City, consuming the most funds, and into which Aleister had invested the most effort.

If burning the Second District was akin to cutting off Aleister’s ’hand,’ then burning the Seventh District would be equivalent to chopping off Aleister’s ’head.’

Whether Su Xiao had planted a bomb in the Seventh District was unknown, but Aleister couldn’t afford to gamble on it. One-Way Street was already dead, a dead person held no value. Aleister had dispatched people to hunt Su Xiao only to assert authority externally.

Now that the ’head’ was about to be chopped off, there was no point in trying to establish authority. Preserving the ’head’ was what mattered, even if killing Su Xiao had no significance. One-Way Street was already dead.

At the edge of District 2, after Su Xiao produced the detonator, all the drones halted, and the members of the Hunting Dog Unit ceased fire. The Anbu members lurking nearby also received orders.

All the soldiers or superpower users hunting Su Xiao withdrew within 30 seconds, with over 90% of Academy City’s Airopathic Circuits converging towards the Seventh School District.

Seeing this, Su Xiao dismounted from Bubu Wang, it was clear Aleister had been cowed by the power of Flame of the Underworld - Hades.

What Academy City’s Big Boss, the greatest magician ever—when it involved his critical interests, he would still chicken out.
