Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

After this, for Main and the others, there’s only one question left.

And that is... where should they go from here?

The Revolutionary Army is definitely a place they can’t return to, and Main isn’t an idiot. Plus, everyone they wanted to kill is now dead, and they have no control over whether Esdeath will succeed in becoming Empress.

Main originally joined the Revolutionary Army to fight for the rights of Half-Blood Species, but after listening to Fang Zheng’s description, Main realized the Revolutionary Army is completely unreliable in this regard. As for Hill, she only wants to find a place to farm and retire. In short, after their established goals were thoroughly eradicated, the Night Raid members have slipped into a state of idleness.

Fang Zheng, on the other hand, had his own suggestions for them.

”If you’re bored, why not go to Lugnica?”

”Lugnica?”

”That’s right, currently Lugnica has a Rebel Army fighting against the Nobility. In fact, the rebellion was initiated by the Princess of that country...”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng introduced the situation in Lugnica to everyone, including Felt’s identity and her ideals. After hearing Fang Zheng’s description, the Night Raid members were incredibly surprised.

”Creating a world free of Nobility and Knights... is that for real?!”

Even Chelsea was immensely astonished.

”Does it seem unbelievable? But everything has a value in attempting. If you’re interested, you can join Lugnica’s Rebel Army. Unlike your so-called Revolutionary Army, at least over there, people are acting with a clear ideal, not just something as simple as ’down with the Tyrant, protect the people’.”

At this point, Fang Zheng looked towards Main.

”And Main, I think you might have a shared language with someone in the Rebel Army.”

”Me?”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s words, Main seemed somewhat surprised, and Fang Zheng nodded.

”Yes, there’s a Half-Elf girl named Emilia in the Rebel Army. She has been hoping for the people of that country to get along well with the Half-Blood Species. However, this is far more troublesome than dealing with the Empire, because in Lugnica, Half-Elves are regarded as the Origin of disaster, hence the Half-Blood Species are always met with hostility, fear, and disdain. She’s also striving hard for this cause. If you’re interested, you could learn from her methods, do some research.”

”Sounds interesting! Will you be going too?”

”Of course, the goal of the assassins is precisely this.”

Fang Zheng certainly considered opening a Brotherhood branch in Lugnica, naturally, the specific situation needs researching before deciding.

Before Esdeath returns to the Imperial City, the assassins will temporarily leave for a while. It’s imaginable that once Esdeath returns, she will certainly purge the entire Imperial City. Staying in the Imperial City at this moment is far too risky for the assassins, and Fang Zheng has never considered collaborating openly with Esdeath. Brotherhood is an organization hidden in darkness, but unlike the Empire’s assassination units, they have different objectives.

Iyeas will remain here, responsible for operating this division. Fang Zheng suggested that Iyeas should join Esdeath’s army or government departments after she comes to power, making it easier to conceal his identity. Due to Fang Zheng and the others’ thorough cleansing, many positions in the Imperial City are vacant or in a state of placeholder. With Iyeas’s skills and strength, he should quickly rise to a pretty good position.

As for Akame over there...

”Bang!!”

Just as Fang Zheng reached the door, he saw the door in front of him being pushed open aggressively, followed by Heitong stumblingly coming out with a deathly pale face and blood at the corner of her mouth.

”Stop caring about me!”

She shouted inside the room, then turned wanting to leave, but the next moment Fang Zheng grabbed Heitong by the wrist and looked into the room, seeing Akame standing there with a sad expression.

”Fell apart again?”

Seeing this, Fang Zheng was speechless, he originally thought knocking Heitong down was enough, followed by the sisters having a heart-to-heart talk. But seeing this... Akame’s communication skills might be negative, right?

”Let go of me, anyway I’m almost dead, let me leave here!”

And at this moment, Heitong was desperately struggling, trying to break free from Fang Zheng’s grip. Hearing what she said, Fang Zheng narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing her a bit, indeed from Heitong’s current situation, she’s already nearing Death’s Embrace...

”So I’ll do it myself.”

At this point, Akame silently stood up, picking up her Murasame.

”No need, are you trying to pity me?! I don’t need such cheap sympathy, let me go!!”

”...........”

Upon hearing this, Fang Zheng finally understood, it seems after waking up, Heitong confessed her imminent death to Akame, while Akame empathetically thought it’s better to relieve her sister’s pain with her own hands...

Impossible, her communication skills are indeed negative.

Heitong probably wanted her sister’s comfort when she spoke out, yet Akame actually promised without a second thought ”Don’t worry, I’ll kill you”...

Not getting the sympathy instead facing a death threat, no wonder Heitong was so furious. If it goes on like this, chances are Heitong won’t die from sickness but from Akame’s anger.

The communication skills of these sisters are really... speechless.

Akame had already exited the room, coming to Heitong’s side and staring at her, while Heitong stared back at her sister intensely, wishing she could bite her. Seeing this, Fang Zheng decisively gave up the idea of letting them continue to communicate, these two are communication-impaired, together they’ll end up in a love-hate relationship, which would be troublesome.

Better... let me handle it.

”Come with me.”

While speaking, Fang Zheng pulled Heitong into the room, then closed the door. Though Akame hesitated for a moment, she stood in front of the door, motionless waiting. Soon, Heitong’s voice came from inside the room.

”What do you want to do? I am almost dead. Just let me find a place to die in peace! Anyway, even my sister doesn’t want me and wants to kill me!”

”You’re not going to die so easily. Come, let me give you a BUFF.”

”You don’t understand at all, my body is already... Wait, what are you doing?!”

Soon, Heitong’s voice became panicked, followed by a few ”tearing” sounds from inside. Afterward, Fang Zheng’s voice echoed again from inside.

”Indeed, the old saying is true, when a child is disobedient, a beating is all that’s needed.”

”Wait, you’re chang— um...”

Before Heitong could finish speaking, her words turned into incoherent mumbling, followed by a scream from the room, accompanied by a ”clap clap” sound. Along with the noise, Heitong let out a hurried, pain-filled cry.

”Stop it, it hurts so much!”

”Aren’t you not afraid of death? What are you scared of now?”

”It’s different... over there... ah!!”

Quickly, Heitong’s voice transformed into indistinct whimpering, sounding as if she was crying. But after a moment, it changed again into rapid breathing...

What exactly happened inside?

While Akame was also curious, she remained standing at the door, calm and motionless. After some time, the sounds inside gradually faded. It was quite a while before the door slowly opened, and Heitong reappeared before Akame. Compared to before, Heitong’s clothes now seemed somewhat disheveled, her face slightly red, breathing softly, with trembling legs.

However, compared to earlier, Heitong now seemed to have regained some vitality.

”Alright, you know what you’re supposed to say, right.”

At this moment, Fang Zheng tugged at his waistband and walked over from behind Heitong. Heitong glared at Fang Zheng, then lowered her head, blushing.

”I’m sorry... Sister, I was wrong. I shouldn’t have argued with you...”

As she spoke, Heitong came to Akame’s side and reached out to embrace her.

”I’ve always missed you, really missed you, sister...”

At the last, Heitong even hugged Akame, starting to sob softly, and at this moment, faced with Heitong’s so genuine response, Akame was at a loss. She stood stunned for a moment, then stretched out her hands to embrace her sister.

Hmm... that’s settled.

Watching this scene, Fang Zheng nodded with satisfaction.

Indeed, when a child is disobedient, a beating is just what’s needed.

Exiting the underground passage, Fang Zheng stretched lazily, having already examined Heitong’s body earlier. As she had said, due to abuse of drugs, her body had become riddled with wounds. Honestly, anyone else would likely meet a dead end. But Fang Zheng was different, for although at the Soulstone level he couldn’t use things like medical gel to repair Heitong’s body, as a Time Dragon, he had other ways to enhance Heitong’s physical quality.

So that’s how people are, when they know they’re close to death they become self-destructive, but once they don’t die they find it incredibly shameful.

Just like those who learn of the impending end of the world and let themselves go, only to find during this freewheeling that earth isn’t going to be destroyed... that’s truly shameful.

Right now, Heitong was the same, previously so irritable because she knew her time was short, but upon noticing the changes in her body, she suddenly became much more docile...

So people shouldn’t always think their fatal end is near, letting themselves go so wildly, only to have it become embarrassing history if they’re saved.

Next then...

Fang Zheng suddenly turned around, raising his right hand, and the sleeve sword instantly shot out, blocking the blade that was slashing down.

”Guard Force, huh? Truly unexpected, to find such persistent fellows.”

Looking at the short-haired boy wearing the Guard Force uniform before him, Fang Zheng raised an eyebrow.

”Shut up, you killed General Budd! I’m here to avenge the General!”

The boy hurriedly pulled back after his first strike missed, clutching the Longsword tightly, glaring at Fang Zheng.

”You bunch of criminals, killed so many people, Grand General Budd, Brother Will, Seiru, and Captain Oka... I will never forgive you! Death’s Embrace!”

”Ha... another one come to die.”

Watching the boy charging furiously, Fang Zheng helplessly shook his head and sighed, then he flicked his left hand, instantly whipping out the sleeve sword to directly block the boy’s slashing blade edge. Fang Zheng then slipped to the side, and with a snake-like swift strike of his right hand’s sleeve sword.

”Pfft!”

The short-haired boy clutched his throat, staggering backward, glaring at Fang Zheng intensely, his mouth opening as if to say something. But amid the splattering blood, he fell to the ground, becoming a lifeless corpse.

”Next, the matter of this Imperial City is almost finished.”

Not even glancing at the boy’s corpse again, Fang Zheng turned directly and walked away.

”Then, next up is Lugnica...”

The rain poured heavily, and simultaneously, Fang Zheng’s figure already vanished into the pitch black alley.
