Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

”Haah........”

Lying on the familiar bed, Main couldn’t help but sigh softly.

Having left that hellish place and returned to Night Raid, Main logically should feel relaxed, but for some reason, she felt somewhat out of place after coming back. How to say it, during her time there, although she had to worry about that bastard’s harassment every day and it wasn’t as lively as Night Raid, Main felt her life was quite fulfilling. At least there, she had a clear goal, but now... having returned to the familiar Night Raid, Main once again didn’t know what she should do.

Even though I’ve been back for a while now, for some reason it still feels unfamiliar.

”Akame, do you think we should have come back?”

Main turned over and looked at Akame lying on the other side. She had to admit, Chelsea’s ”departure” had a significant impact on Main, although she curiously asked Chelsea why she stayed there, but Chelsea’s answer to her was ”I feel this is the place where I can realize my ideals.”

To be honest, Main was also very hesitant, especially after listening to Fang Zheng’s analysis. She also realized that even if the Revolutionary Army seizes power, they likely won’t have any policies to support mixed-blood individuals, and her hoped-for future couldn’t be realized with the Revolutionary Army. But no matter what, having been with Night Raid for so long, Main had developed feelings for it, so she couldn’t just leave like Chelsea did...

How to put it... Main was facing her first dilemma between ideals and friendship, it’s really hard to choose.

”Coming back is good.”

After a moment of silence, Akame gave an answer.

”Staying there is also good.”

”You’re not really saying anything!”

Upon hearing Akame’s response, Main couldn’t help but retort, then she flopped onto the bed like a dead fish.

”Ah... I don’t know why, returning makes me instantly deflated, it feels like there’s absolutely nothing to do...”

”So do you want to go back?”

”Ugh... just the thought of that pervert there makes me not want to go back...”

”Boom!!”

Before Main’s voice had even faded, suddenly accompanied by a loud boom, the whole base seemed to start shaking.

”What happened?!”

Main hurriedly jumped up from the bed, then quickly grabbed her Teigu.

”I’ll go see what’s happening up there, Akame!”

”I know.”

Upon hearing Main speak, Akame also silently picked up the Demon Blade Murakumo and nodded.

The explosion came from beneath the base, but after leaving the room, Main immediately ran upwards. This was a skill Main learned from Fang Zheng during her time with the assassins.

As a sniper, upon being ambushed, the first thing to do is distance yourself from the enemy, then act after figuring out the situation.

Although that pervert is a pervert, his words were undeniably sensible.

But still a pervert!

While muttering curses softly, Main reached the top layer of the base, then she hid her figure, leaning against the wall and looking downward. Suddenly, Main widened her eyes in surprise.

”What is that?!”

Outside Night Raid’s base, hundreds of black wolves were encircling the area, and at the forefront, there were even a few massive creatures that looked like rhinoceroses.

”Those are... Danger Species? Why are they here?”

Seeing those black wolves with glowing red eyes and the massive creatures resembling elephants, Main immediately understood their true identity. What baffled Main was why there were so many Danger Species here? Night Raid’s base was chosen in a location that logically shouldn’t have such a concentration of Danger Species, right?

Which means... these Danger Species are being manipulated by someone?

While Main was perplexed, not far from the Night Raid base, atop a hillside, a petite girl cradling a puppy was smiling sweetly as she looked ahead.

”As expected of the Demon Beast Tamer, I didn’t expect her to find Night Raid’s location so quickly.”

Watching the girl beside him, Lan couldn’t help but sigh. According to the Three Beast Warriors’ plan, they first aimed to deal with the most troublesome and notorious Night Raid in the Imperial City. However, no one had known the exact location of the Night Raid base until now. Yet, for the Demon Beast Tamer who could control Demon Beasts, this kind of needle-in-a-haystack task was evidently well within her expertise. In just half a day, Meili succeeded in locating the Night Raid base.

Thus, the Hunter Troop was fully mobilized, determined to capture Night Raid completely.

”Sister is my prey.”

Black-haired and black-eyed Heitong murmured softly, then walked towards Night Raid’s base, and the others showed cold smiles, following Heitong down the hillside.

Announcing the official start of the battle between Hunter and Night Raid at this moment.

”........”

Fang Zheng opened his eyes.

For some reason, he suddenly felt uneasy earlier, could something have happened?

Thinking this, Fang Zheng reached out, and soon, with Fang Zheng’s action, ”Ratziel” appeared in his hand, and lines of text began to form on the snow-white pages.

Oh, so that’s what’s happening, no wonder... but it’s also an opportunity...

Thinking this, Fang Zheng closed the Ratziel again. At the same time, a snow-white arm stretched over from the side and wrapped around Fang Zheng’s neck.

”Mmm... Hmm... What’s going on? Did something happen?”

”Nothing major.”

Fang Zheng shook his head, looking at Chelsea beside him, while Chelsea opened her eyes, smiling mischievously at Fang Zheng.

”In that case, why not go again...”

As she spoke, Chelsea giggled and leaned down, intending to slip into Fang Zheng’s blanket. However, at that moment, another hand suddenly reached out and grabbed Chelsea.

”Wait, Chelsea, what are you thinking of doing?”

”Of course, doing what we did before, Senior Sayu.”

Chelsea raised her head, looking at Sayu lying on the other side, glaring at her.

”You’re just a newbie, don’t get too carried away!”

”Because I’m a newbie, I need to learn more, right? For instance, the pose you had before, Senior Sayu. I’ve never seen it before...”

”That, that was...”

Facing Chelsea’s mockery, a blush instantly spread across Sayu’s pale cheeks.

”That was?”

”It’s none of your business!”

”Eh? Really? But at that time, it seemed like you were both embarrassed and excited, Senior Sayu. Could it be you have some serious hidden quirks?”

Ha ah...

Watching the two arguing beside him, Fang Zheng sighed inwardly. Sayu had been with him for a long time and got along well with others, but for some reason, she seemed to be at odds with Chelsea. Chelsea, too, frequently provoked Sayu—not to mention, she used to tease Main before, so she’s merely switched targets now.

But letting them keep arguing like this could go on endlessly.

”So I said, don’t think you can do whatever you want just because you’re close to the mentor... Mmm...”

Sayu glared at Chelsea, reprimanding her softly, but before she could finish, Sayu’s face turned red, and she lowered her head, panting softly.

”Ahahaha, Senior Sayu, what are you talking about?”

”I was saying... Ha... Hmm... Mentor... Don’t...”

”Ah, with such a small sound, I can’t hear... Mmm...”

However, looking at Sayu’s flushed face, Chelsea intended to joke further, but the next moment, she too showed the same expression as Sayu.

”Wait, wait? Mr. Fang Zheng... Mmm, there... Wait a moment...”

”You two are too noisy.”

While speaking, Fang Zheng suddenly turned and pressed the two girls under him.

Quickly, the two girls’ breathing gradually became urgent, blending together and echoing in the dark room, indistinguishable from each other...

The next morning, when Fang Zheng awoke, Sayu and Chelsea were still asleep beside him. Looking at the two gentle and adorable little lambs, Fang Zheng smiled and shook his head, then got up and dressed, leaving the room, and headed to the assassin organization’s hall. Soon, after a moment, others gathered, while Chelsea and Sayu unsurprisingly arrived last.

”Something troublesome happened last night.”

After everyone had arrived, Fang Zheng finally spoke.

”According to intelligence, last night the Hunters launched a raid on Night Raid’s base. Although there were losses, they succeeded in capturing most of Night Raid’s members.”

”What?!”

Upon hearing this, Chelsea was immediately wide awake.

”Could it be that Night Raid has been wiped out?!”

”Pretty much... Hmm, at noon today, the remaining members of Night Raid will be brought to the plaza for public execution. At that time, not only will the Hunters be dispatched, but even Grand General Budd, the Emperor, and Minister Ernest will be present.”

”This is obviously a trap, trying to lure us in, isn’t it?”

Sayu slightly furrowed her brows and whispered, while Fang Zheng nodded.

”That’s right, there must be a traitor in the Revolutionary Army who revealed our connection with Night Raid, so they want to use Night Raid as a lure to catch us. If we go to meet those people, we’ll be caught completely, but if we don’t go, they can restore the situation through execution. Can’t deny their plan is smart.”

”So, are we going?”

”Of course, we’re going.”

Facing this question, Fang Zheng stood up.

”The Emperor, Minister Ernest, and Grand General Budd, all the people we want to eliminate are gathered together, and executing them in public, is there a better stage than this? Get ready to move!”

As he spoke, Fang Zheng raised both hands.

”Let’s present the Imperial City, this Empire, with the most magnificent play!”
