Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chelsea obviously wouldn’t take Fang Zheng’s words seriously, assuming he was just joking with her.

However, there was one thing that was no joke.

”So how do you plan to do it?”

Looking at the throngs of people outside the church, Chelsea curiously asked. The group they were following was for the weekly sermons, and according to the information Chelsea gathered, people gathered here every Monday for the blessings of the Anning Dao Sect Hierarch, and it was also a day when the high-ranking members of Anning Dao would convene.

But in such circumstances, how was Fang Zheng supposed to kill anyone?

”If you really want to know, you’d better turn into an animal and see for yourself.”

Fang Zheng replied casually and started walking forward. Chelsea hesitated for a moment, then quickly hid in a corner to grab her Teigu. A moment later, a harmless little kitten reappeared, scampered up to a higher perch, and observed the surroundings.

The Anning Dao believers all wore white, so Fang Zheng blended in without causing any suspicion. His plan was very simple. At this moment, the leaders were speaking, and once they finished, the believers would queue to enter. What he needed to do was quite simple...

Fang Zheng moved forward slowly, with a pace that seemed neither fast nor slow, yet he easily reached the front of the line. The believer at the head of the line hadn’t even realized what was happening when he saw a hand reach out from the side, shoving him away. He then watched as a robed man walked past him into the great hall, turned, and firmly shut the previously open doors.

”Boom!!”

Seeing the tightly closed church doors, the believers stood there bewildered, having no clue what had just occurred.

”Hey, what are you doing?”

Inside the church, seeing Fang Zheng closing the main doors, two nearby guards hurried over, shouting angrily. But in the next moment, as they approached, Fang Zheng calmly strode forward, suddenly extended his arms, and two sleeve swords sprung forth, piercing through the throats of the two guards.

The tall bodies of the guards shuddered once, then collapsed suddenly.

”Assassin!!!”

Witnessing this scene, the other guards immediately sprang into action. They quickly grabbed their weapons and charged at Fang Zheng. Two of the guards, however, turned and attempted to run to the great hall to report, but barely had they turned when two throwing knives embedded in their necks, reducing them to corpses.

”To dare cause trouble in Anning Dao, you’re audacious! Prepare to be punished!”

Facing the oncoming long spear, Fang Zheng neither dodged nor flinched. He flicked his sleeve sword to the side, deflected the spearhead, then extended his right hand to take the life of another guard. He continued to walk toward the great hall.

”Wow, what exactly is he doing?”

Watching the scene from above, where she had transformed into a kitten and slipped inside, Chelsea was startled. She had expected Fang Zheng to sneak in for an assassination operation, but this... He just stormed in through the front door?

This bold?!

Under Chelsea’s gaze, Fang Zheng continued his march toward the Sanctuary. Guard after guard rushed at him, but all met the same fate. They struck with their weapons only for Fang Zheng to deflect them aside, then he’d thrust his sleeve sword forward, claiming another life instantly.

In the game Assassin’s Creed, Fang Zheng’s favorite weapon was the sleeve sword, which was why, after acquiring the Assassin’s Creed Soulstone, he never used any weapon but the sleeve sword.

Under the sleeve sword, all are equal.

All other weapons are heretical.

To Chelsea, at this moment, that nonchalant white figure was almost like the Grim Reaper; anyone approaching him fell and became a corpse. Fang Zheng continued his advance until all the soldiers who dared to stop him were dead. Those who recognized the dire situation and tried to flee were killed by throwing knives.

”Is this... an assassin?”

Watching Fang Zheng enter the Sanctuary, then looking at the ground littered with corpses, Chelsea was dumbfounded.

Are you kidding me?

Even Night Raid didn’t have anyone this audacious!

But still, it’s best to go and see what’s ahead.

With that thought, Chelsea quickly turned and followed the rafters to the Sanctuary. There she saw a masked man standing on a platform, looking at a kneeling, obese man before him.

”Berwick, do you realize your crimes? This is your retribution!”

”Master Lord!”

Upon hearing the words of the white-haired man, the rotund man was drenched in sweat, kneeling on the ground and begging incessantly.

”Master Lord, I-I was wrong, I know I was wrong!”

”Regardless, you acted against the doctrine and forsook the Deity!”

However, the Sect Hierarch had no intention of letting Berwick go. He lifted his head and glanced at Fang Zheng.

”Hero, I know why you’ve come, and now, I will give you an explanation...”

As he spoke, the Sect Hierarch raised his hand, and soon, two guards stepped forward, drawing their weapons.

”Wow... It’s actually true...”

Before, Chelsea might have been surprised, but she had heard Fang Zheng’s conjecture. So now, to Chelsea, it was clear the hierarch was using this pretext to utterly eliminate Berwick and his group.

However... it seemed this Sect Hierarch had entirely misunderstood Fang Zheng’s intentions.

Before the two guards even acted, Fang Zheng lowered his stance, quickly dashed forward, then leaped into the air like an eagle descending from the sky. His right-handed sleeve sword plunged into Berwick’s neck, causing Berwick to shudder violently, then collapse onto the floor, lifeless.

”.........”

Fang Zheng stood up, silently gazing at the Sect Hierarch in front of him, while the Sect Hierarch revealed a slight smile.

”I know, this is my responsibility, so if you wish to......”

However, the Sect Hierarch didn’t finish his sentence because, in that moment, both of Fang Zheng’s sleeve swords had already pierced into his body.

He widened his eyes, staring at the man in front of him, and in the face of the Master’s incredulous gaze, Fang Zheng simply lowered his head and spoke in a hushed voice.

”Go in peace, remnants of the Witch Cult. I’m afraid you won’t get a chance to rise again.”

”You... I... am...”

The Master reached out his hand, wanting to grab Fang Zheng, but in the next moment, as Fang Zheng stepped back, he collapsed powerlessly to the ground, never moving again.

”Master!”

”He killed the Master!!”

Seeing this, the others below the stage were stunned, and immediately after, they rushed angrily towards Fang Zheng!

”Kill him! Kill this criminal!!”

Whether they were advanced disciples or guards, at that moment they all rushed at Fang Zheng like madmen. But facing those who lunged at him, Fang Zheng remained unfazed. He simply raised his right hand and snapped his fingers lightly.

”Snap.”

Instantly, arrows rained down from the sky.

”I really didn’t expect you would assassinate like this...”

Once again in front of Fang Zheng, Chelsea looked complicated.

”Aren’t you afraid of being discovered?”

”As long as we’re not discovered, the assassination is successful.”

To Chelsea’s inquiry, Fang Zheng appeared very composed.

”And as long as everyone is killed, no one will find out.”

”............”

Upon hearing this, Chelsea felt her worldview collapsing.

Indeed, as long as it’s undiscovered, the assassination is successful. But killing everyone to avoid being found out, what the hell is that?!

Although Chelsea wanted to refute, the fact was that everyone in this sanctuary except Fang Zheng had been killed.....

”Wait, why are you staring at me?!”

Noticing Fang Zheng’s gaze wandering around her neck, Chelsea froze for a moment, then suddenly remembered something and quickly stepped back.

”I’m not a witness! I’m an ally, an ally!!”

”I know.”

Fang Zheng nodded and withdrew his gaze, and noticing the disappearing chill around her neck, Chelsea finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Damn it, if she hadn’t reacted would she also be finished?!

”Alright, burn this place down, and then let’s go.”

Fang Zheng didn’t care about Chelsea’s thoughts; once everything was set, he immediately issued orders, and the other assassins nodded and began to act. Very quickly, with the blazing flames, the entire sanctuary turned into a field of ash under the believers’ watchful eyes.

Watching the hall burn and be destroyed, the believers outside were certainly in agony, but Fang Zheng couldn’t care less about their thoughts. They did only what they wanted to; what relation did other people’s thoughts have to them? Whether these believers suffered or mourn was beyond Fang Zheng’s consideration.

”Now what do you think?”

Standing beside Fang Zheng, watching those below crying in front of the burning sanctuary, some even trying desperately to extinguish the fire, Fang Zheng simply crossed his arms, silently watching the scene, without a trace of emotion on his face. Chelsea was curious about this, putting herself in Fang’s shoes; she pondered that if this were a Night Raid target, even if she completed the task, seeing this scene would be quite emotional. So she wanted to know what Fang Zheng thought.

”I have no thoughts; we are assassins, nothing is true, everything is permitted.”

Fang Zheng shrugged.

”Simply put, we made a choice, and we must accept the consequences. Whether these people can wake up is not our concern; whether they discover the darkness within the religion or stumble down a dark path is irrelevant to us. What we must do is follow our hearts and eliminate Anning Dao. If people organize another religion to deceive the masses in the future, we’ll just kill again.

Fang Zheng turned his head and stared at Chelsea.

”The prey in this world is endless, but at least killing one is one less, wouldn’t you say?”

”......”

This time, Chelsea didn’t answer; she just silently looked at the distant, wailing crowd. After a long while, she finally spoke.

”You’re right, at least killing one is one less.”

Saying this, Chelsea turned her head towards Fang Zheng and revealed a bright smile.

”I seem to be enamored with you, Mr. Fang Zheng.”

”No problem.”

However, facing Chelsea’s sudden confession, Fang Zheng remained exceptionally calm.

”There’s no one in my room tonight.”

”......”

Suddenly, Chelsea didn’t want to say anything.
