Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Faced with Fang Zheng’s reply, Chelsea was directly choked speechless.

”So you can see through my disguise?”

She stared at Fang Zheng with a grave expression. You had to know that Chelsea’s Teigu, ”Gaia Foundation,” had the power of Thousand Forms, letting her turn into any creature. Chelsea’s own combat ability was actually quite weak; she had always relied on this trick to disguise herself as other people, then get close to the target and strike when they relaxed their guard.

Of course, in a sense, this was even more dangerous than those guys who charged in head-on, so within the organization, the number of missions she’d completed was even higher than Akame’s.

But if someone could see through her disguise, then that was a whole different story!

”That’s right.”

Fang Zheng nodded slightly.

”Tell me what exactly went wrong?”

”Tell you?”

Hearing Chelsea’s question, Fang Zheng let out a chuckle.

”Sure, as long as you successfully make it back to Night Raid, I’ll tell you.”

”What’s that supposed to mean?”

At Fang Zheng’s answer, Chelsea’s face shifted slightly. She wasn’t an idiot; she could obviously hear that there was something else behind his words.

”It means that since you’ve been caught by me, you belong to me now. All right, let’s go.”

Fang Zheng flicked the Sleeve Sword in his hand, turned around, and left directly, while Chelsea hesitated for a moment, then silently followed behind Fang Zheng.

Her own combat ability was very weak, and the power of Gaia Foundation could be seen through by the other side. She couldn’t escape even if she wanted to!

Just like that, Fang Zheng brought Chelsea back to the underground secret base. As soon as he walked in, he saw Main hugging her gun as she rushed over.

”I completed my mission! No problems, right! No problems, right!”

”Yeah, no problem, I saw it very clearly. Don’t worry, this time you count as having completed the mission and won’t be punished.”

Fang Zheng of course knew why Main was so worked up. Before this, the little brat had still been putting on a tough act right in front of him, saying things like, ”Even if I can’t complete the mission, what can you even do to me? If you’ve got the guts, say it out loud!”

Then Fang Zheng had whispered a whole string of, ”First I’ll [——] you, then I’ll [——] you, then like a beast I’ll [——] you, then flip you over and [——] your [——] first, then from behind I’ll [——] and then [——].......”

Main had listened until her face was burning red, almost losing her sanity and fainting on the spot.

It also made her build up quite a bit of crisis awareness during the mission. After all, just thinking about her [——] getting [——] and then [——], any girl’s hair would be standing on end, okay!

”Haha, see, I told you, wanting to [——] my [——] was nothing but a pipe dream!”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s answer, Main finally screamed, raised her hand, and jumped up, while Chelsea behind Fang Zheng was completely stunned.

Her ears weren’t malfunctioning, right? The moment she came in, she heard a girl saying such vulgar things right in front of her?

”Oh right, who’s she?”

By now Main had also noticed Chelsea behind Fang Zheng and frowned as she looked over.

”Why’d you bring another girl back again?”

What kind of tone is that? You’re not my wife; do I need your permission for who I bring back?

Fang Zheng silently shifted to the side.

”Her name’s Chelsea, she claims she’s a member of Night Raid. You don’t know her?”

At this, Fang Zheng silently looked at Chelsea, and the Sleeve Sword in his right hand went ”kacha” as it popped out again. Just now Chelsea had claimed she was from Night Raid, yet Main didn’t know her. Was this chick trying to deliberately trick him or what?

”I’m a reinforcement, I’m a reinforcement!!”

Hearing the sound of Fang Zheng’s Sleeve Sword, Chelsea was so scared she hurried to explain. Her close-combat ability wasn’t anything special to begin with; if she got killed by Fang Zheng here, then that really would be an unjust death!!

”I was brought over from headquarters as reinforcement by Master Najenda. Look, Akame and Main came over here, right? Night Raid’s short on manpower over there, so Master Najenda brought me over from the Revolutionary Army......”

”I see.”

Hearing this, Fang Zheng nodded, then put away the Sleeve Sword.

”All right, since you’re all comrades in Night Raid, get to know each other. Also, Main......”

”Hm?”

”As a girl, stop saying those vulgar things in front of people.”

”.........”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, Main froze for a moment, then finally realized what she’d just said. Before, she’d only blurted it out because she’d completed the mission and escaped the clutches of the demon, and was too excited. Now that she thought back......

”Pervert! Degenerate! Look what you made me say!”

”I didn’t make you say anything.”

Fang Zheng, however, remained completely calm.

”You’re the one who said it yourself.”

”No I didn’t, it was you, it was all your fault......!!!”

At this point Main also fully remembered what she’d said earlier; her face flushed red all the way to the tips of her ears, then she stomped hard, spun around, and bolted off like the wind.

”Alright, you two get along now.”

Fang Zheng’s expression didn’t change; as if nothing had happened, he nodded to Chelsea, then turned and left. Chelsea, meanwhile, looked at the once again tightly shut Daimon, feeling rather speechless.

What the heck is this situation?

I’m with Night Raid, but I was threatened and kidnapped here by you, okay? What’s with this ”feel free to walk around and have a look” attitude like you’re introducing new students to campus?!

”..........”

Chelsea looked around in exasperation. Main had already run off; only a girl with waist-length black hair was sitting on a chair not far away, hugging a wooden sword and seemingly carving something into it. So Chelsea took out a lollipop, stuck it in her mouth, and walked over with a grin.

”Hey, you must be Akame, right? I’m Chelsea, Night Raid’s reinforcement. Let’s all get along from now on......”

However, before Chelsea could finish, she saw the wooden-sword-hugging Akame lift her head and give her a cold glance. Those Akako eyes of hers held not even a trace of emotion, as if they contained death itself, and even Chelsea couldn’t help but shut her mouth.

”..........”

Akame silently looked at her, nodded, then lowered her head again and resumed shaving the wooden sword in her hands with the small knife.

What is with these people, all of them acting so neurotic!

Chelsea didn’t even dare breathe too loudly; she hurriedly backed away several steps, and only after she was some distance from Akame did she feel like she’d come back to life.

Seriously, what’s wrong with every single one of them?

Main’s turned into some kind of pervy girl who can spew crude language, and now Akame looks like she’s possessed by a ghost?

If I have to go back like this, how am I supposed to report to Najenda, the BOSS?

Oh, no, there’s an even bigger problem before that — how am I supposed to get back in the first place?!

At this moment, Chelsea truly felt like crying but had no tears.

Meanwhile, in the conference room of the imperial palace, the Three Beast Warriors, representing Esdeath, were already waiting there, looking at the members in front of them. These were all elites Esdeath had summoned back from various places by sending out orders. In fact, if Esdeath weren’t currently hopelessly obsessed with Reinhard, she should’ve returned in person to lead the team. But as things stood......they’d have to make do.

”Since you’ve all come here, that means you’re the elites. I assume you all know why you’ve been summoned.”

The eldest of the Three Beast Warriors, Levi, clasped his hands behind his back and looked at the people before him. On the table in front of him, seated in order, was a short-haired girl in a black sailor outfit, with black hair and black eyes—Heitong from the Empire’s assassination unit.

Next to her was a blue-haired man from the Imperial Navy who looked like a hot-blooded youth, Will.

A well-built man wearing a mask, Porus, from the Empire’s execution squad.

And a young, handsome man with blond hair, Lan.

As well as a man in a white lab coat, looking every bit the mad doctor, DR. Fashion.

All of them were Teigu Users, which was why the Empire had summoned them here to fight.

But besides them......

”Uncle Levi, I’ve got a question.”

At this moment, the blue-haired youth Will raised his hand, then pointed at two figures on the other side.

”Are they also part of our team?”

”That’s right, they were sent by Minister Ernest.”

Levi understood why Will was asking. On the other side of the table sat two women dressed in foreign-style clothing. One of them was a girl with brown braids, holding a small dog in her arms, looking more like a random little girl you could see anywhere.

”This is Meili, a Demon Beast Tamer from some Assassin organization. She possesses the ability to control Demon Beasts. With her assistance, it will be like adding wings to a tiger.”

”A kid that young can actually control Danger Species?”

Hearing Levi’s answer, Will was quite shocked. After all, Demon Beasts were considered extremely terrifying existences within the Empire and thus had been labeled Danger Species. Yet this girl, who looked to be barely in her early teens, could actually control Danger Species? It was simply unimaginable.

”Just as we possess Teigu, the people of Lugnica have a power called Divine Protection. Miss Meili likewise possesses this power. As long as she breaks a Demon Beast’s horn, she can command it to fight for her.”

”Huh......so there’s even a power like that.......”

Hearing Levi’s explanation, Will couldn’t help sighing a bit, but didn’t take it too seriously. After all, in this world every nation had its own unique powers. Some had Mages, some had Teigu Users, others had those with Divine Protection. None of that was particularly strange. Will had previously worked in the Imperial Navy and had heard some things about other countries, so he wasn’t all that surprised.

After introducing her, Levi turned his gaze to the last person.

”This is......”

Before Levi could finish, the cloaked figure stood up. She had long bright-red hair and Azure eyes, yet her entire being seemed devoid of life, like a mere puppet.

”Theresia.”

The girl looked at everyone and quietly gave her self-introduction.

”This is my name.”
