Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

”Pervert! Lecher! Vulgar! Shameless!”

”Hehe.”

”Shameless!!”

”Hehe.”

”Lustful! Dirty!”

”Hehe.”

”... You, you don’t have any reaction?”

Looking at Fang Zheng who was smiling all the way, Main was almost speechless. She had been cursing Fang Zheng throughout the walk, yet Fang Zheng acted completely indifferent, which left Main quite frustrated. She felt Fang Zheng’s skin was thicker than the city walls, leaving her with no solution at all.

”Here’s a piece of advice: if you’re going to insult a man, never call him lustful. After all, it’s normal for men to be lustful; not being lustful is abnormal.”

”Uh......”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s response, Main was left speechless, but she quickly changed the topic.

”I didn’t expect someone like you to use such despicable tactics... I thought the one leading the assassins to cause chaos in the Imperial City would be a hero. Didn’t expect it to be someone like you!”

”No one ever said heroes can’t be lustful. There’s an old saying: ’It’s a hero’s nature.’ A hero who isn’t lustful is no hero at all.”

”Uh......uh uh uh uh!!”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s reply, Main was fuming like a little dog, gritting her teeth in anger as if she wanted to pounce and bite Fang Zheng to death. But then, Fang Zheng’s next sentence immediately changed her expression.

”But, you didn’t think it would just end like this, did you?”

”Huh? Wait, what do you mean by this?”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, Main suddenly retreated in fear, staring at Fang Zheng cautiously.

”It’s simple. Starting today, I’m adding a new rule. Every time you carry out a mission, I’ll give you an extra requirement. If you fail to meet the requirement, I’ll take action against you immediately. Keep this in mind for future missions.”

”Ah... ah?! This is too much!”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s demand, Main immediately screamed.

”I naturally will teach you enough skills too, because I won’t send you to your death. As for how to meet the requirement, you’ll have to use your own brain.”

”What if your demand is unreasonable?”

Main wasn’t foolish and immediately caught the loophole in Fang Zheng’s words. Fang Zheng also spread his hands.

”Don’t worry, each requirement must have your agreement. If you don’t agree, I’ll change it until you do. Now you can be at ease, since you’ll be agreeing to it, it won’t be me setting you up on purpose.”

”Uh...although you say so...”

Main bit her lip, hesitating for a while.

”Then, what if I disagree with everything?”

”Then you can go back to Night Raid.”

Fang Zheng shrugged his shoulders.

”Since you’re working under me, you need to follow my conditions. If you find the conditions unacceptable, then return to Night Raid. I’m not forcing you to stay, and you can see this also has benefits for you.”

”Is this... considered a benefit?”

Faced with Fang Zheng’s response, Main’s expression was somewhat subtle. She understood well what Fang Zheng meant. Previously, Main had to go into crisis mode to enhance the Romantic Turret’s power, which meant putting herself in danger. However, Main was a long-range attacker, and close combat wasn’t her strong suit, making her akin to dancing on the edge every time she boosted her power.

Of course, dealing with ordinary soldiers posed no pressure for Main, but facing opponents who also wielded Teigu exposed Main’s weaknesses. Like the muscular dog controlled by that dog woman, Main was quite embarrassed, almost getting crushed by the opponent.

Thus, for Main, the best way was to increase the power of the Romantic Turret from afar, striving for a one-hit kill and then getting away, rather than putting herself in danger just to explode her small universe, since that relied on luck. Seiya has unleashed his small universe so many times, but sometimes it faltered, and with Main’s abilities, one falter meant death.

But now, Main had a new way to increase tension and crisis. Just thinking about failing the mission and returning to face Fang Zheng’s various actions caused her Psychic Power to surge upwards, allowing her to unleash substantial power without putting herself in danger.

Of course, if failed...although it wouldn’t cost her life, the punishment was hard to accept for a young girl like her.

”Then does Akame face the same punishment?”

”Of course not, it’s just for you.”

”Why!”

Hearing this, Main jumped up in frustration again.

”Why am I the only one subjected to this treatment?”

Facing Main’s angry questioning, Fang Zheng silently glanced over her.

”Because Akame’s Teigu doesn’t increase in power due to a sense of crisis, right?”

”.........”

Ever since obtaining this Teigu, Main hated this characteristic of it deeply for the first time......

After dealing with the two little girls from Night Raid, Fang Zheng’s activities for the day were concluded. He returned to his room and then contacted the ”Cheating Cat Kurumi” at the Third Coordinate Point (originally in the native language) to investigate the current situation.

”So, what’s the current situation?”

After learning about Felt’s ”revolutionary plan” from Kurumi, Fang Zheng ordered the ”Cheating Cat” to monitor and report on the whole process. He was quite interested in what Felt could accomplish with those little red books.

”Right now, Felt’s situation is neither good nor bad.”

Kurumi quickly responded.

”As previously reported, those following Miss Felt are mostly commoners......”

”True, so adapting to circumstances is also important......”

Upon hearing this, Fang Zheng sighed. Felt’s idea was good; she wanted to abolish the nobility system, nationalize all lands, and eliminate lords. This almost entirely affected the interests of the three dominant classes: Nobility, Merchants, and Knights, so almost no one supported Felt.

However, Felt was as stubborn as an ox; the more others opposed, the more she persisted. Especially growing up in the slums, Felt had no fondness for these three groups. To her, Nobles were pigs using lineage to oppress others, Merchants were cunning bugs and Knights were hunting dogs bullying the powerless.

They didn’t want to assist her, and Felt dismissed the idea of teaming up with them!

However, the problem is, this world is one with magic and mysterious powers, and although Felt gathered many commoners, she lacked high-end combat power to confront the opposition.

Simply put, on Felt’s side was only one LV MAX Reinhard, plus Amelia, the Priestess of the Goddess, and then Saten Reiko and Lei from Academy City who came to assist, and Alisa whom they brought over......

Only these few could fight.

After all, the world of swords and magic is also a world of high-level combat power! It is extremely difficult to seize power relying solely on ordinary citizens.

”So, what does ’not bad’ refer to?”

”That’s referring to General Esdeath.”

At this point, Kurumi squinted her eyes and smiled.

And looking at her expression......is there gossip?

”Indeed, actually, that Imperial General seems to have proposed to Master Reinhard during a previous battle.”

”......What?”

”The specific reason is unclear, perhaps being defeated several times by Reinhard instilled some sense of belonging? Anyway, proposing in front of soldiers on the battlefield really takes courage; personally, I quite admire General Esdeath for it.”

”What was the outcome?”

”Master Reinhard didn’t accept, but Miss Felt seems quite hopeful he would.”

Indeed, if Reinhard and Esdeath married, the threat from the Northern Empire would naturally disappear. But as Fang Zheng understood Felt, she’s probably hoping for Reinhard to suffer. After all, that Knight keeps her in check, and Felt dislikes Reinhard’s control over her. She used to frequently complain to Fang Zheng about him, and with this rare opportunity to retaliate, Felt clearly wouldn’t miss it.

”So, the current situation is......”

”General Esdeath has been pursuing Master Reinhard relentlessly, while the latter seems quite helpless. Though he has formally rejected her, General Esdeath clearly doesn’t intend to give up, adopting a stance of either marrying her or killing her...”

”Hahaha, Reinhard truly is unfortunate.”

Hearing this, Fang Zheng laughed heartily. Although he hadn’t encountered Esdeath herself, he knew Reinhard to be an absolute gentleman and Knight. Imagining Reinhard confronted by Esdeath’s persistence, Fang Zheng could only picture him being utterly exasperated.

If it were Fang Zheng, he would’ve made it clear early on. However, Reinhard lacked such ruthlessness, and considering Esdeath’s unique status, he couldn’t resort to force, making this an unfortunate situation for Reinhard.

But......it’s not my concern.

”So, what’s happening on the Northern Empire Army’s side? Any changes lately?”

”Certainly, due to the chaos in the Imperial City, the Emperor has ordered General Esdeath to return home, but she chose not to, instead sending her subordinates back to handle the matter......”

”Oh?”

Hearing this, Fang Zheng squinted.

”Her subordinates are......”

”A group named the Three Beast Warriors. They seem to wield mysterious weapons called Teigu, which in previous battles posed quite a challenge to us. They’re formidable foes, and their departure from the front lines is a good thing for Miss Felt and the others.”

”I see.”

Fang Zheng nodded slightly.

It seems the next target can be determined.
