Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

The man known as Zanke the Beheader was quite a strong man. Evidently, he also set his sights on Akame and quickly appeared before her. Although Zanke taunted Akame with a few words, Akame was obviously indifferent to this and simply charged forward. Shortly, the two were engaged in combat.

”That man named Zanke is quite skilled.”

Through the sniper scope, Main also witnessed this scene and couldn’t help but express her admiration. Indeed, just by observing, it was clear that Akame’s current strength far exceeded her previous prowess. Every move, every sword thrust she made was aimed directly at the opponent’s vulnerabilities. If it were anyone else, they might not withstand even three of Akame’s attacks before dying.

But this man called Zanke managed to easily block Akame’s assault, which was indeed surprising.

”That’s because his Teigu is powerful.”

Fang Zheng directly provided an answer. This was also why he chose Zanke as Akame’s first opponent after her major accomplishment.

”Zanke’s Teigu ’Omnivison [Observer]’ possesses five abilities: Clairvoyance, Foresight, X-ray Vision, Future Sight, and Phantom Vision. Clairvoyance can discern human hearts, Foresight can search for targets from afar, Future Sight can see future enemy actions, Phantom Vision can cause illusions in enemies, and X-ray Vision... can see through your clothes.”

”Huh?!”

Upon hearing this, Chelsea and Main’s expressions changed slightly, although what worried them was...

”Wait, does that mean Zanke can see Akame without clothes?”

”This ability is really perverted! He can even see through people’s hearts... I absolutely don’t want to fight him.”

As expected of women, can’t you pay attention to anything else?

Fang Zheng rolled his eyes helplessly. This was also why he chose this guy as Akame’s opponent. Firstly, with abilities to discern human hearts and Future Sight, Zanke shouldn’t die under Akame’s first thirteen swords. Moreover, his Phantom Vision might reverse and pose a threat to Akame.

It was just perfect to observe Akame’s proficiency with the Thirteen Fatal Swords.

Simultaneously, Zanke was also frantically defending against Akame’s attacks.

He certainly knew Akame’s strength and the terror of Murasame. Even if he couldn’t penetrate Akame’s inner thoughts, he could still use his Teigu’s Future Sight to see through her next move. It was precisely for this reason that he could block Akame’s attacks.

”It’s useless, it’s useless. No matter how you attack, you absolutely cannot harm me. Even you can’t do it. Hahaha, your head must be quite valuable, right? Then, let me see what expression you’ll have when your head falls! Hahahaha!!!”

”Fourteenth sword.”

However, Akame completely ignored Zanke’s remarks. She merely whispered to herself, then launched another attack.

Meanwhile, Zanke’s laughter abruptly stopped.

He saw this attack and, through Future Sight, saw the transformation of this attack. This sword struck so casually that it seemed almost like a joke, like a sword casually thrust by someone who didn’t understand swordsmanship.

But this sword would make him die!

This was an instinct, an intuition. The aura of death contained in this sword even made someone like Zanke, a beheader, shudder.

However...

”How can I let you succeed!!”

Accompanied by Zanke’s angry roar, the Teigu atop his head suddenly flashed with a strange light. Subsequently, in Akame’s view, the tall figure instantly vanished, replaced by a young girl with short black hair, wearing a sailor uniform and holding a long blade, much like herself.

”......!?”

Upon seeing the figure before her, Akame froze for a moment. At this point, Zanke grinned fiercely and swung his two daggers swiftly downward. With a light ”clang,” the blade Akame thrust was blocked by Zanke.

”Hehehe, as expected, you’re the same?”

Looking at Akame, Zanke displayed a fierce smile once more. Although his ”Phantom Vision” ability was effective on just one person, its power was immense. Not only that, within the phantom vision, the person seen is the most important to the opponent. Therefore, she was absolutely incapable of striking someone most important to her!

Die, Akame!!

However, just as Zanke intended to take advantage of Akame’s momentary confusion by illusion and act, suddenly he felt Akame’s Murasame begin to tremble suddenly.

”Fifteenth sword.”

This was the last sound Zanke heard through Clairvoyance. After that, he couldn’t hear anything or see anything. Future Sight, Clairvoyance, the Teigu’s abilities all seemed to have completely vanished. He didn’t even know when, but Zanke realized that even his Phantom Vision capability had disappeared!

Is this a removal of the Teigu’s ability? No, this is killing the Teigu!

This is......

”Pfft!”

The sharp blade thrust forward, piercing through Zanke’s forehead, along with the Teigu dwelling on his forehead.

At this moment, death descends.

”Hmm, I see, well done.”

Seeing this, Fang Zheng nodded. It seems that compared to the Jin Yong and Huang Yi clans, the Ancient Dragon System’s martial arts is indeed more suited for this world. Although the Ancient Dragon System’s martial arts rarely possess the kind of dazzling imagery as Huang Yi’s, it has a terrifying advantage, which is that all Ancient Dragon System’s martial arts are Rule System.

The concept of ”Little Li Flying Dagger, never misses” is akin to gaining a ”certain hit” buff, while the Fifteenth Sword from Akame’s Thirteen Fatal Swords is an ”instant death” buff. It’s like a battle in a game where once the effect appears, the fate of the enemy is decided, and the next step is just for the player to complete the process.

Such a notion is like saying that once the instant death effect appears, the enemy’s HP will certainly drop to zero in the next turn. You can slash anywhere with your sword, it doesn’t matter—HP will definitely hit zero, and the opponent is just waiting to die.

However, Fang Zheng didn’t expect that the Fifteenth Sword of the Thirteen Fatal Swords could even kill supernatural powers, even the power of a Teigu could be killed. Then what about Magic? And Divine Protection? Hmm... This is quite an interesting question.

After this, everyone quickly returned to the Assassin’s Headquarters, and Akame, having completed her mission, was there waiting for them. However, at this moment, Akame looked somewhat strange. Upon seeing Fang Zheng appear, she walked over to him, drew out Murasame, and then casually reached out and lightly scratched the blade.

A streak of fresh blood flowed down instantly.

”Wait, Akame, what are you doing?!”

Seeing this, Main cried out in fright. She knew the curse of Murasame very well; any bloodshed would lead to death. Therefore, Akame had always been very careful in maintaining Murasame, but now she voluntarily injured herself—is she trying to commit suicide?!

However, Akame did not show any of the reactions Main was worried about. She just stood there quietly, watching the blood dribble down the blade, then lifted her head to look at Fang Zheng.

”Murasame is dead.”

”This is quite normal, considering the power of the Fifteenth Sword. You, more than anyone, should be aware of it—even a Teigu cannot withstand such power.”

”Is it...?”

Upon hearing Fang Zheng’s reply, Akame didn’t seem disappointed nor particularly concerned. She seemed to have already guessed this outcome, merely seeking confirmation from Fang Zheng.

Yet hearing this, Main couldn’t remain calm.

”Wait, what are you saying? Akame’s swordsmanship can even kill a Teigu? How terrifying is that?”

”What did you think otherwise? Why else would I teach her, after all, with this swordsmanship, there’s no need for Murasame, right?”

”Ugh... true, that’s indeed the case...”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s questioning, Main felt conflicted. For so long, Teigu was regarded as the Northern Empire’s strongest weapon, and Main and others rejoiced because of possessing such weapons. Now, Akame unexpectedly possesses a power that can even kill a Teigu—this is far more formidable than a Teigu!

A power that can kill even a Teigu, how terrifying must that be!

”Alright, don’t think too much, this is also a good thing for you.”

Fang Zheng patted Akame’s head.

”Next, get ready to deal with the Hunters.”

Then, he said.

Meanwhile, within Night Raid, Najenda was reviewing the report brought back by Chelsea from Main. Compared to Main and Akame, Chelsea had more experience, and thus her report was evidently more constructive—which is why Najenda did not force Chelsea to return.

However...

”Indeed, there are plenty of issues.”

After reading Chelsea’s report, Najenda’s expression grew increasingly serious. Initially, she only thought the group of assassins were just another organization rebelling against the Empire, similar to Night Raid or the Revolutionary Army. But now, from Chelsea’s observations, it seems these assassins clearly have their own code of conduct and are completely indifferent to external opinions.

As for Anning Dao matters, Najenda was well aware. Although the Revolutionary Army wasn’t in a cooperative relationship with Anning Dao, they originally intended to act during Anning Dao’s religious rebellion. But now, with all the top tier rebellious figures of Anning Dao being killed, the so-called religious rebellion has crumbled. This has led to some top Revolutionary Army members being very dissatisfied with those ”assassins,” believing they ”ignore the bigger picture.”

Yet according to Chelsea’s report, Fang Zheng considers the Revolutionary Army’s actions to be utterly traitorous. If it weren’t that the assassin organization wasn’t the Empire’s guardian, then they might have already gone to eliminate the Revolutionary Army. The mere crime of ceding territories and colluding with foreign powers would be enough to put these top Revolutionary Army members on the gallows.

”Speaking of which, this is indeed a problem...”

Seeing this problem, Najenda also felt deeply concerned. She hadn’t previously valued the thoughts of the Empire’s civilians. In her view, if the Revolutionary Army could successfully overthrow the Emperor, then everything would be resolved entirely. However, Chelsea’s report pointed out an issue Najenda hadn’t considered.

That is the self-respect of the Empire’s populace and their loyalty to their nation.

To be honest, after reading this letter, Najenda felt the alliance the Revolutionary Army signed with the Alien Race was really too rash. Even if they successfully seized power, this could become a ticking time bomb.

Perhaps it is indeed necessary to have a direct discussion with that master assassin.

Although she hasn’t met him yet, Najenda can already perceive through Chelsea’s descriptions that the person is evidently highly capable, and she indeed agrees with Chelsea’s method of handling the matter of hybrids. If possible, she wishes to meet him in person and have a face-to-face discussion.

There’s no harm in doing so, is there?
