Chapter 1388: Chapter 1387: When an Honest Person Gets Angry, It’s the Scariest

Early the next morning, when Fang Zheng and Sora walked into the electric train again, they unsurprisingly saw Gui Kotonoha also in the train.

”Good morning, Haruno, Sora.”

Seeing the two of them, Gui Kotonoha smiled and respectfully bowed to them. At this moment, it was completely impossible to see the dark, cold feeling she had last night. On the contrary, her gaze was sharp, and they both noticed that in addition to a backpack, she had a sword sheath on her back, looking as if she were a samurai setting off to battle...

”Looks like you’ve figured things out?”

Looking at Gui Kotonoha in front of him, Fang Zheng curiously asked, and Gui Kotonoha respectfully bowed to him.

”Yes, Haruno, thank you for your guidance. I’ve figured it out.”

”Good to know.”

Hearing Gui Kotonoha’s reply, Fang Zheng nodded, then glanced at the sword sheath on her back.

”Just to the point, don’t go too far.”

”Yes!”

At this moment, Gui Kotonoha looked like a different person, without the previous timid appearance. Instead, she seemed full of energy and spirit, like a sword drawn from its sheath.

”Brother, is Classmate Gui really going to be okay?”

Looking at Gui Kotonoha, who was now very different from her previous self, even Sora became a bit worried. Although she didn’t like socializing much and didn’t have much in common with anyone other than Fang Zheng, Gui Kotonoha was one of her few friends. Naturally, she hoped Gui wouldn’t cause any big issues.

But now, the way Gui Kotonoha looked, it was clear she was about to make waves.

”No problem, let her be.”

Fang Zheng wasn’t worried. He could tell Gui Kotonoha had come to a realization. Gui Kotonoha had always been timid with others because she had never had many friends and didn’t know how to interact. So she would do whatever others told her, hoping to make friends.

Yesterday, Fang Zheng’s tough love seemed to have woken Gui Kotonoha up, making her realize that some people can’t be friends. In fact, they would become her enemies.

After all, making friends is an art, and not everyone can be like Saiin-ji Sekai and Komizo Yukina, with friends everywhere. In fact, even someone like Saiin-ji Sekai, her true friends only really included a few people like Kiyora Setsuna, and Komizo Yukina, who seemed to get along with everyone, but the fact she always ran to the music room after school showed there were only a few true friends.

Even such socially skilled girls can’t make a ton of friends, so with Gui Kotonoha’s introverted and awkward nature, it’s even more difficult.

It seemed Gui Kotonoha finally understood this last night.

”A gentle person’s anger is the scariest, just wait for the show.”

Seeing Gui Kotonoha’s determined expression, Fang Zheng knew this matter wouldn’t end easily. Who knows what Kato and her group had done to her before, but now it seemed Gui Kotonoha was ready to settle scores with interest.

For most people, this was just another day.

But for Gui Kotonoha and others who were going to be in trouble, it was entirely different.

With a sense of anticipation, Fang Zheng didn’t return to his class, but went straight to the rooftop, curiously looking towards Class 1-C to see what big news Gui Kotonoha planned to make.

”Hey, Gui!”

Interestingly, not long after Gui Kotonoha entered the classroom, a cute-looking girl with a single ponytail and a few others surrounded her. Seeing this, others instinctively stepped back — evidently, this wasn’t the first or second time.

”What happened yesterday? That older guy called me, saying you teamed up with a man to cheat him... Do you know how hard it was for me to find such a nice guy to help you...”

”Classmate Kato.”

However, before Kato could finish, Gui Kotonoha interrupted. Holding her schoolbag, she looked seriously at her classmate in front of her.

”Please return my money.”

”What... What did you say?”

Hearing this, the girls, including Kato, widened their eyes in surprise. Perhaps they didn’t expect the usually timid girl to talk to them like this.

”But that was for our group trip, are you not going anymore?”

”I’m not going, please return my money.”

”Huh? What are you talking about? Do you really know what you mean? We invited you in good faith. If you don’t go, we can’t be friends anymore.”

”I don’t want to be friends with people like you, Classmate Kato.”

Having made up her mind, Gui Kotonoha was surprisingly assertive, leaving even Sora, who was watching the drama, dumbfounded. It was her first time seeing Gui Kotonoha argue with someone... Well, this should count as an argument.

”What do you mean by ’people like you’?”

This time, a short-haired girl next to Kato frowned and spoke. She glared at Gui Kotonoha, looking ready to fight.

But Gui Kotonoha wasn’t afraid in the slightest.

”People who tricked me into doing shameful things with unfamiliar men. I don’t consider them friends. Perhaps you think it’s no big deal, Classmate Kato, but to me, it’s not something I can do.”

”What did you say? Are you calling us bitches?”

Although Gui Kotonoha’s words remained polite, anyone could hear she was indirectly calling Kato and her group such names.

”That’s not what I meant, but please return the money you borrowed from me before, fifty thousand yen in total. If you return the money, we can end it here.”

”Pfft!!”

Seeing this, Fang Zheng on the balcony nearly spat out his drink. Fifty thousand yen is about thirty thousand RMB... Tsk tsk tsk, a young lady really is different, but now Fang Zheng understood why Gui Kotonoha didn’t ask her family when she ran out of pocket money and got tricked by Kato’s group. If you have more than thirty thousand in pocket money, you’d hesitate to say you spent it all at once. Anyone would be suspicious.

However, hearing this, the short-haired girl showed a harsh expression.

”I never liked you before, and now I dislike you even more. You want money? What if I just don’t give it to you?”

”But it was money Classmate Kato and your group borrowed...”

```
”Do you have evidence? Who among us borrowed money from you? Ask everyone here, none of us know anything, right?”
”Yeah, yeah.”
Hearing the short-haired girl’s question, the other girls around also nodded with a smile. Upon hearing their answers, Gui Kotonoha’s face turned even colder.
”So... you’re trying to deny the debt?”
”We didn’t take your money at all, how can you call that denying a debt? Looks like I need to teach you a lesson!”
The short-haired girl shouted and reached out, trying to grab Gui Kotonoha’s hair. But facing the attack, Gui Kotonoha sidestepped, and then Fang Zheng saw the sword sheath on her back swiftly slide to her waist. Gui Kotonoha then reached out, grabbed ”something” from inside the sheath, and swung it forcefully at the short-haired girl in front of her.
”Aaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!”
The next moment, a scream like a slaughtered pig echoed in the classroom. The short-haired girl fell to the ground, clutching her right hand and rolling around. At this moment, her right hand was twisted in an unbearably grotesque direction from the palm.
”My hand... my hand ahhhh!!!”
”Seven Seas?!”
Watching their companion get knocked down by Gui Kotonoha, several people, including Kato, suddenly recoiled in shock. They turned their heads to look, only to see Gui Kotonoha holding a wooden sword, her face stern as she stared at them.
”You bitch!! What did you do to Seven Seas!”
Kato shouted in fury and charged at Gui Kotonoha, who quickly sheathed her sword and then swung it again at the advancing Kato.
”Uwaaahhhhh——— ooooohhh!!!”
With that swing, Kato collapsed to the ground, clutching her stomach and emitting an unclear cry like a pig’s grunt. A pile of vomit spewed out of her, spreading a foul stench across the floor.
”Kato!!”
The third girl charged at Gui Kotonoha from behind, raising a chair to smash it down on her. Unfortunately, she had no combat experience and shouted something before she acted. Hearing the warning, Gui Kotonoha rolled aside, narrowly avoiding the falling chair, then swung her sword again, striking the girl’s knee.
”Uwaaahhh!!”
Screaming, another girl fell to the ground, clutching her knee and crying out in agony.
At this point, it seemed the whole class finally realized what was happening. A group of people screamed and backed away, looking at Gui Kotonoha as if they were staring at a maniacal Demon King. Only Sora remained seated, slightly stunned by the scene. Although she had mentally prepared herself for this, she hadn’t expected Gui Kotonoha to be this fierce...
”Tsk tsk tsk, she really strikes hard.”
Even standing on the rooftop, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but shake his head in admiration. Others might not see it, but Fang Zheng immediately noticed that Gui Kotonoha was clearly trained, and not in something peaceful like Taiji, but in true lethal swordsmanship.
The three consecutive strikes she delivered were aimed at her opponents’ vitals. If she had used a real sword, those three would likely be dead or crippled by now, but as it stands... well, at least one of them won’t escape being handicapped.
Fang Zheng saw clearly that Gui Kotonoha had broken the wrist of the first short-haired girl. Kato’s ribs were probably fractured, and the third one had her knee shattered...
He remembered Sora had mentioned that these people were all part of the Basketball Club... Well, after today, forget about playing basketball. Just being able to return to a normal life would be a blessing.
Indeed, you can’t mess with Japan’s young ladies.
Fang Zheng couldn’t help but recall his encounter with Sanhua Remi in the Zombie world. That young lady was also a black-haired soft-spoken girl like Gui Kotonoha, but when it came to swinging a sword at zombies, she was fiercer than anyone else...
”Uwah!!”
At this point, the fourth girl snapped back to reality, panicked, and ran out of the classroom. The last of Kato’s cronies tried to escape but was stopped by Gui Kotonoha.
”W-What are you going to do?! I’m warning you, I’ll call the police!”
Pale-faced, she pulled out her phone, trembling with fear. After all, her three friends were lying on the ground howling in pain, and Gui Kotonoha stood expressionlessly, gripping the wooden sword. These low-level thugs had never encountered such a scene before, and she was too scared to move!
However, Gui Kotonoha remained unfazed, gripping the wooden sword tightly, and stepped towards her.
”Stay back! Stay back!!”
Seeing Gui Kotonoha approaching her, the girl was nearly breaking down. She clutched her phone with one hand and fumbled a fruit knife from her pocket, waving it around. Then, she turned and saw Sora sitting not far away. Her eyes lit up as she rushed towards Sora.
”Eek!”
Sora didn’t expect the girl to turn desperate and gasped in fear. Yet Gui Kotonoha was even quicker. The girl had barely taken a few steps when Gui Kotonoha flashed forward, and the unfortunate girl found herself screaming and rolling on the ground. It was evident from the way her right hand twisted outwards that Gui Kotonoha hadn’t held back with that strike.
”Are you okay, Classmate Sora?”
”I’m fine, just got scared for a moment, thank you...”
Hearing Gui Kotonoha’s question, Sora patted her chest, letting out a sigh of relief. That was a real scare, she hadn’t expected the girl to rush at her...
”Thump, thump, thump!!”
Suddenly, the sound of hurried footsteps echoed, and the girl who had run off earlier came back with a few burly men.
”It’s her, she’s the one who injured Seven Seas!”
”What?”
These tall and strong men seemed to be members of the basketball team. Seeing the four people lying on the ground, they were astonished and then glared fiercely at Gui Kotonoha.
”Let’s get her, teach this bitch a lesson!!”
With a shout, these men charged at Gui Kotonoha.
”Sigh...”
Seeing this, Fang Zheng shook his head again.
He didn’t need to look further, he already knew the outcome.
