Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 851: Chapter 850 The Situation Is Getting Stranger

Another Uncle Rand? What’s going on?

Seeing this, everyone was taken aback, even Fang Zheng was puzzled by the meaning. However, at this moment, Rand had already opened the bottle cap, raised his head, and drank the liquid inside the bottle in one gulp!

”Ah... ah ah ah ah...!!”

After drinking that strange liquid, Rand looked up and started shouting wildly. He spread his arms, and his entire body began to tremble. Fang Zheng then saw Rand’s frail body gradually swell like a balloon, and soon he transformed from an old man into a muscle-bound Terminator, while Rand’s originally aged face turned youthful, as if he had undergone rejuvenation!

”I can feel it, my power, my lost power!! This is my power!!”

At this moment, Rand also shouted loudly, raising his arms and looking up excitedly.

”Oh, my Lord, I am willing to dedicate everything to you!! I swear that I will forever...”

”Poof!”

However, before Rand could finish his words, blood suddenly spurted from his mouth, and simultaneously, blood began to rapidly flow from his mouth, nose, and ears. Yet Rand himself seemed completely unaware, continuing to laugh wildly, attempting to showcase his power. But soon, everyone saw Rand’s body grow larger and larger, then...

”Boom!!”

With a loud bang, Rand’s body exploded like a balloon filled with air, instantly scattering flesh and blood everywhere, and Rand’s head flew through the air, crashing into a stone pillar not far from where Fang Zheng and the others were hiding, and ”plopped” onto the ground.

Even then, his face still bore a smug smile, seemingly unaware of the fear of death.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, we...”

Witnessing this scene, Fina became a bit agitated, but Fang Zheng reached out and pressed her shoulder.

”Wait a moment, it’s not over yet.”

As Fang Zheng said, Rand’s sudden death didn’t seem to affect the other cultists. In fact, no other cultists even glanced at Rand’s tragic corpse; they were silent for a moment, then another cultist came over and made a gesture.

”Bring the sacrifice!”

With these words from the cultist, it wasn’t long before everyone heard shouting from another passage below, and saw another cultist in a junior robe grab a woman’s foot, dragging her upside down on the ground. The woman struggled desperately, trying to break free from the cultist’s grip.

Unfortunately, her resistance was futile, and the cultist continued to drag the woman all the way to the altar.

”Mr. Fang Zheng...”

”Wait and see.”

Fang Zheng pressed Fina again. Although logically, Fang Zheng should rush out to save people at this moment, considering the bizarre nature of this situation, he decided to watch a little longer before making plans.

But at this moment, a shocking scene unfolded.

The woman being used as a sacrifice struggled again, kicking furiously to break free. This time, she seemingly succeeded, broke free from the cultist’s restraint, and kicked him hard. The next moment, the unfortunate cultist soared like a cannonball, flying into the air!

”Thud!!”

With the woman’s kick, the cultist flew over ten meters high, crashed into the cave ceiling, and then fell back to the ground with a ”boom”.

No doubt, he was surely dead.

”Eh?”

Seeing this, Fina widened her eyes in surprise. As a Professional in the Main World, Fina naturally had her judgment in combat power; being a Cleric specializing in battle, she wasn’t an exception. She could tell that from the lethality of the kick, the woman being used as a sacrifice should have Elite Pinnacle-level combat power.

But what puzzled Fina was, she didn’t see any sign that the woman possessed such ability—if she had, she wouldn’t have been entangled with the cultist all along. With Elite Pinnacle Professional strength, a light move should be enough.

Could it be that she was acting earlier? Or was this woman pretending to be a victim to investigate the cultists as an adventurer?

As various thoughts raced through Fina’s mind, the woman had already rolled and got up from the ground. Logically, she would either flee or fight the cultists.

But reality is always more bizarre than people imagine.

After rolling and getting up, the woman acted as if she didn’t notice any other cultist, turned around, and ran. Strangely, the cultists seemed oblivious too, standing motionless.

Moreover, the woman took an odd escape route; the cave had only two paths, one was the path the woman was dragged from, and the other was Fang Zheng’s uphill path.

Logically, if the woman were to escape, she would choose either of these two paths.

But after breaking free from the cultist’s restraint, she dashed straight toward the stone wall on the other side. Yet, there was a cultist standing in her escape route!

Next, a surprising scene happened.

The woman didn’t push the cultist aside but rammed into his chest, continuing to run desperately forward. The cultist stood there dazed, completely unresponsive, letting her push him as she dashed forward. Then the two collided heavily against the nearby stone wall.

Even then, their movements didn’t change at all. The woman continued making escape motions with her limbs, while the cultist stood there motionless, not grabbing or evading her.

Strangely, other cultists seemed completely unaware too, maintaining their stance around the altar, not moving at all.

”...What’s going on?”

Not only did Walnut fail to understand, but even Kurumi showed a puzzled expression. After all, to anyone with clear vision, the scene before them appeared oddly comical.

Only Fang Zheng stared silently at this scene, and after a moment, he shook his head and backed away.

”Let’s go, we’re leaving.”

”Eh?”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s response, the three girls were somewhat surprised.

”Aren’t we going to take down those cultists, Brother Fang Zheng?”

Walnut swung her shovel curiously asking. But facing Walnut’s question, Fang Zheng just shook his head.

”Something’s not right. I have some thoughts, but... I need Nymph to come and see.”

While speaking, Fang Zheng looked once more at the cave.

That comical show continued, yet this time Fang Zheng’s gaze became much more serious.

Because he had a rather disturbing suspicion.
