Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 885: Chapter 884: This is a Very Serious Problem

Although the process was a bit convoluted, ultimately, under Gabriel’s persuasion, the player named ”Eiriri” agreed to join Fang Zheng’s team.

Of course, in Fang Zheng’s view, the whole process was basically Gabriel enticing Eiriri, something like ”a hundred bucks and you won’t be disappointed or deceived”... Anyway, no matter how you look at it, that’s definitely a pyramid scheme!

However, Eiriri did not choose to join because she was brainwashed by Gabriel’s pyramid scheme; instead, she ultimately agreed to join Fang Zheng’s team because of the overwhelming majority of women in Fang Zheng’s group. And the reason Eiriri made this choice goes back to her encounter with Gabriel.

Initially, Fang Zheng thought Eiriri and Gabriel were real-life friends. But after asking, he learned that they met after entering the game; their acquaintance was not complicated. At the time, Gabriel was leveling up and accidentally stumbled upon the squad Eiriri was in, where two men were getting handsy with Eiriri.

Although the game has a restriction system to prevent male players from assaulting female players, it is not omnipotent. Especially at that time, the two men threatened Eiriri that if she didn’t cancel the restriction alarm, they would kill her. Eiriri, overwhelmed, was frightened.

It was at that moment that Gabriel saw this scene, wielded a One-Handed Hammer, and lured a bunch of creatures over, scaring off the two male players and saving Eiriri.

And after that, Eiriri developed a fear of male-player-led guilds, so when Fang Zheng mentioned that his team was almost entirely made up of girls, and Fang Zheng didn’t look like a sleazy rogue, plus Gabriel helped to push things along, she finally chose to accept Fang Zheng’s invitation and joined their team.

Of course, though they had enough people, Fang Zheng still needed to confirm everyone’s abilities, so he tested them. During the testing process, Fang Zheng discovered some interesting things.

Fang Zheng had personally tested Yuki’s abilities before, so there’s no need to elaborate. On the contrary, Leafa and Gabriel’s performance surprised Fang Zheng; it wasn’t because their skills were particularly strong, but from their combat stances, Fang Zheng could tell these two were definitely ”trained.”

This was quite interesting.

In terms of abilities, Asuna, Black Cat, and Yuki were strong, but their weapon wielding stances weren’t standard. Even someone like Fang Zheng or Ester, who are professional swordsmen, could tell from a glance that they were definitely self-taught.

Conversely, Leafa and Gabriel’s weapon handling stances were very standard—not something learned from movies or TV but ingrained through years of accumulated training, a memory held by the body.

Out of curiosity, Fang Zheng inquired about both of them and learned that Leafa’s family runs a dojo, and she has practiced swordsmanship since she was very young, so such a performance wasn’t surprising.

As for Gabriel...

”These are mandatory courses for Angels in the Celestial Realm; I’m used to it.”

Seeing Gabriel’s smug expression, Fang Zheng was speechless.

Alright, after Black Cat, there’s now a second chuuni patient in the team.

Aside from this, if there’s an unexpected pleasure for Fang Zheng, it’s Eiriri.

Strictly speaking, Eiriri’s combat capability is quite mediocre, but in another aspect, she possesses an extraordinary talent.

That is Stealth and Scouting.

Eiriri even demonstrated to Fang Zheng and the others her skill of traversing a forest path without triggering any creature alarms and reaching the destination, which was truly like ”passing through a slew of blossoms, without a single leaf touching the body.” No wonder Eiriri became a target for recruitment by other guilds; sometimes a scout can be much more useful than just a mere warrior.

If it weren’t for Eiriri developing ”Androphobia” after being harassed by her own teammates early in the game, Fang Zheng probably wouldn’t have had the chance to recruit her.

But no matter how you look at it, Fang Zheng has finally gathered the minimum number of people needed to form a guild.

The entire team member list is as follows:

[Fang Zheng (Level 22), Weapon: Two-Handed Sword]

[Restia (Level 22), Weapon: Rapier]

[Ester (Level 22), Weapon: One-Handed Sword]

[Gabriel (Level 20), Weapon: One-Handed Hammer]

[Black Cat (Level 20), Weapon: Scimitar]

[Asuna (Level 19), Weapon: Rapier]

[Yuki (Level 19), Weapon: One-Handed Sword]

[Aoba (Level 18), Weapon: One-Handed Sword, Shield]

[Leafa (Level 17), Weapon: Taidao]

[Eiriri (Level 15), Weapon: Dagger]

Well... what comforts Fang Zheng is that there’s no one using a Long Spear in the team...

As they say, since ancient times, Lancers...

Once Fang Zheng gathered enough people, he summoned everyone together for introductions, and at the same time announced that to celebrate the team finally had enough members and was on the right track, afternoon practice was canceled. Fang Zheng also booked a room at the restaurant in the Starting Town for a celebratory feast!

Upon hearing this news, everyone, including Black Cat, was instantly elated, happy beyond measure. Asuna and Aoba even hugged each other and cried tears of joy, leaving the others confused as to what theatrics were playing out—wasn’t it just canceling afternoon practice? Why did they look like they had barely escaped the battlefield alive?

But these questions vanished quickly once the delicious food and drinks were served.

In the game, while not eating won’t kill you, it does cause a feeling of near ”starvation” fatigue. Moreover, it is well said, people live by food; delicious food not only replenishes nutrition but also relaxes the spirit.

During this time, since they were undergoing Devil training in the forest, all Asuna and the others ate were the simplest dry bread and drank ordinary water. While it kept their spirits up, their mouths were practically bored to death!

And now, laid out before them, were various delicacies! Puddings, cakes, juices, roasted suckling pig, turkey, salad, and many more mouth-watering delights. The group cheered and happily plunged into this ocean of food.

If there’s one benefit for Asuna and the others in this world, it is undeniably hard to ignore.

That is———no matter how much you eat, you won’t get fat!

No worrying about calories, no fretting about gaining a few pounds by tomorrow morning, no scowling at the scales; just one simple rule, keep eating!

Hence, the girls abandoned modesty and started devouring like ravenous beasts.

Not only were Asuna and the others enjoying their meals, but Gabriel and Leafa, among others, were also overjoyed. Although these lone players had quite a bit of money, it can’t compare to Fang Zheng’s team-based creature hunting speed and quantity; even if they did the same hunting, Fang Zheng had much more money at hand.

Moreover, on ordinary days, these young ladies wished every penny could be spent in halves, so they naturally couldn’t afford to spend so much money dining lavishly here.

With delicious food and a lively atmosphere, everyone’s ages about the same, very quickly the whole feast became quite spirited.

But just at this time, Aoba uttered something that shifted the atmosphere.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, now that we can form a guild, what should we name our guild?”

Hearing this, the girls, who had been chatting and laughing, turned their attention to Fang Zheng.

Yes, they almost forgot that since they were forming a guild, they definitely needed a guild name!

So, what should be their guild’s name?

This is quite a serious matter!

They can’t call it ’All Good Names Taken by Dogs’ guild, can they?
