Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 886: Chapter 885 From today onwards we are.........

With Aoba’s question, the bustling banquet hall suddenly fell silent. Soon after, Black Cat proudly stretched out her hand, placed it on her chest, and struck a dramatically chuunibyou pose.

”How about we name it the Sacred Black Cat Knights? What do you think? Pretty cool, right!”

”What kind of chuunibyou name is that? No way! That’ll only make me want to die from embarrassment!”

Eiriri immediately shot down Black Cat’s suggestion without hesitation.

”I think ’egorstic-lily’ sounds nice!”

”What the heck is that? Since we’re Japanese, we should pick a name everyone can understand!”

”Sorry, I’m half Japanese, half English!”

Black Cat and Eiriri bickered, and it wasn’t long before the prime culprit, Aoba, hurried over to mediate.

”Don’t fight, don’t fight... ”

”So, Aoba, what kind of guild name do you think would be good?”

Seeing Aoba trying to mediate, Black Cat and Eiriri quickly turned their attention to her. The sudden questioning startled Aoba, and after hesitating for a moment, she spoke softly.

”Um... how about Fairy Home?”

”... Sounds like a kid’s playhouse.”

This time, it was Gabriel gnawing on a chicken leg who voiced her opinion.

”I think Valhalla sounds nice.”

”... Gabriel, that name is way too ominous.”

Upon hearing Gabriel’s suggestion, Asuna sighed helplessly. Although the name was passable in many respects, considering its meaning and their current circumstances, it was hardly a laughing matter.

”I’m just saying, you guys keep going...”

Evidently, Gabriel didn’t take it too seriously, as she waved her hand and turned back to her food.

After a few rounds of debate, everyone’s gaze finally shifted to Fang Zheng.

”Mr. Fang Zheng, what name do you think we should choose?”

”I’ve already thought of a name.”

Responding to Yuki’s inquiry, Fang Zheng shrugged, then reached out to open a system file.

”Next, you just need to sign in agreement.”

Quickly, a scroll that looked like it was made of ancient parchment appeared before everyone. It contained an oath inscription inviting them to join the guild, along with the guild name and emblem.

The first thing that caught their eyes was a blue background with a white sword piercing a white new moon. Below this emblem was the guild’s name.

”Dark Moon Sword?”

Seeing the guild name, everyone was surprised.

”This name seems pretty good...”

”But does it have any meaning?”

Looking at the words on the oath inscription, Black Cat couldn’t help but curiously wrinkle her brow. The so-called ”oath inscription” is what players write to persuade others to join their guild. Of course, it can say anything from ”Please join, newbie begs” to ”Join the guild, get a backpack.” But Fang Zheng’s ”oath” was clearly different from the rest.

”In the past, the King of the Sun, Gwyn, became troubled by the dimming fire, so he became the King of Salary. Afterward, many sons of man continued to pass on the flame. This is the legacy of the deities, hence the Dark Moon to guard the flame bearers, shall transform into a sword. And long ago, the Knights’ Order lost its Official Knights, leaving only the oath. And now you appear here... Such is the nature of inheritance.”

”Seems quite interesting!”

Even Eiriri was excited reading this oath inscription in front of her. She had to admit, despite its lack of context, the historical weight conveyed by this inscription was irresistible to a gamer like her.

”If this were a quest, I’d want to delve into it to the end... Mr. Fang Zheng, what does it mean?”

”It’s a story about fire, deities, and kings from long ago.”

Responding to Yuki’s curious inquiry, Fang Zheng smiled slightly.

Originally, he wanted to use Farron Undead Legion, but remembering that he was the only one using a greatsword, it seemed inappropriate. So eventually, Fang Zheng decided to go with Dark Moon Sword as the guild’s name—a small tribute to a certain adorable and pitiful half-dragon girl.

”Let’s go with this! It seems quite interesting, and the uniform is cool too!”

Similar to WOW’s guild system, when players create a guild, they can design their emblem, flag, and uniform. In-game, uniforms are separate from equipment, so there’s no need to worry about not being able to equip gear just because you’re wearing a non-attribute uniform.

For the uniforms, Fang Zheng referenced Maria’s hunter attire from Anan, featuring a pitch-black cape and coat with the Dark Moon Sword emblem embroidered on the chest.

However, considering most of the team were energetic young girls, Fang Zheng didn’t follow Maria’s attire exactly. The male uniform was based on the standard hunter template, while the female uniform, aside from the cape and coat, was closer to modern student uniforms, with short skirts and black silk stockings.

With so many cute girls around, one must appreciate the view, right?

Black silk, white silk, over-the-knee socks, they’re all moe points!

Thanks to Japanese education, none of the girls questioned the skirt length of the uniform. Perhaps Fang Zheng not making the skirts scandalously short helped.

Regardless, the simple yet elegant and mysterious uniform was well-received by the girls. Whether it was the chuunibyou Black Cat or the more normal Asuna and Leafa, all showed interest in it. Soon enough, Fang Zheng heard a ”ding,” and the next moment, ”Guild Established” appeared before him.

And thus, Dark Moon Sword was officially established.

Excellent!

Looking at the interface in front of him, Fang Zheng nodded.

He understood the benefits of creating a guild in this game. First, after establishing a guild, players would have a shared guild storage space for storing various materials, equipment, and money. Additionally, as the guild level increased, the guild leader could purchase property for a guild base.

Although many guilds claim to have a ”guild base,” in reality, they’ve just rented a place and called it ”the guild base.” However, an official guild base is recognized and protected by the system. It not only provides various conveniences that ordinary houses do not but also offers certain buffs to guild players.

Importantly, after forming a guild, players can team up as a guild when tackling bosses!

Currently, there are two types of teams in the game: party and raid. Parties can have up to five members, while raids can have ten. The number of people isn’t crucial; what’s crucial is that if you’re not in the same guild, then the loot drops from defeating a boss will only appear for the group that landed the final blow, leaving others with nothing.

This often led to intense competition and friction, but guild teams naturally don’t have this issue.

However, for Fang Zheng, establishing a guild signified one thing.

That is... the time to strategize against the Lord is coming!
