Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 865: Chapter 864: A Real Man Never Looks Back at Explosions!

Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, Aoko immediately got nervous. She clenched her fists and glared at Fang Zheng. It was obvious from their recent skirmish that Aoko had realized that the girl before her was even more formidable than she had imagined. If she wasn’t careful, she might really suffer!

Then, Aoko saw the girl in front of her suddenly raise her right hand into a fist, aiming it at her.

”Phantom Flame Pillar!”

”------!!”

In the next moment, a beam of flames erupted, shooting straight in Aoko’s direction. However, Aoko was already prepared. She immediately activated the enhancement of her Magic Circuit, quickly sped up, and rolled to dodge Fang Zheng’s attack. Subsequently, she watched as the flame beam passed by and disappeared into the sky.

”Haha!”

Seeing this, Aoko sighed in relief and smugly showed a V-sign to the girl in front of her.

”How about that! I dodged it too... huh?”

However, unexpectedly, at that moment, Aoko suddenly felt something was off above her. When she looked up, she was shocked to see a thick pillar of flame descending from above, engulfing her completely!

”W-wait, what is this? Why can’t I move?”

Completely trapped by the descending flame beam, Aoko was shocked and horrified. She hadn’t expected that Red Ponytail’s earlier move was just an Obscuration Technique. Her real fatal move was this!

But of course, for Fang Zheng, this was not the end!

”Come forth, Fire Joy!!”

With Fang Zheng’s call, a bright red Greatsword once again appeared in her hand. It split open in the middle, releasing scorching flames. Simultaneously, Fang Zheng clenched the Greatsword with both hands, and the thruster behind her emitted a dazzling radiance. In the next moment, she charged towards the immobilized Aoko like a meteor!

”Take this, Flame Burst Slash!!”

”Wait, wait, wait!! That’s two moves ahhhhh!!”

However, Fang Zheng completely ignored Aoko’s wail. She simply swung the Greatsword down at Aoko, then landed behind her. Simultaneously, with a ”boom”, an explosion resounded, and Aoko, screaming miserably, was engulfed by the soaring flames...

”Hmph!”

Fang Zheng, with her back to the explosion and firelight, smugly flicked her Longsword and sheathed it.

A true man never looks back at an explosion!

However, in the next moment, Aoko’s scream erupted piercingly to the heavens.

”Wahhhh... what is this ahhhh!!”

Hearing the scream, the corners of Fang Zheng’s mouth curled up slightly. Then she turned her head, and not far behind, she saw Aoko looking down at her body in disbelief. Of course, Fang Zheng’s hit wouldn’t burn Aoko to death. Instead, the clothes she had been wearing, including her underwear, had been reduced to ashes. Now, Aoko was completely naked!

”How did it end up like this! What kind of trickery are you playing!”

Having never encountered such a situation, Aoko screamed, covering her ”vitals” and curling up, her face flushed as she glared furiously at Fang Zheng. Although Aoko’s gaze could kill, for Fang Zheng, it was nothing at all.

”What do you mean tricks? Wasn’t this supposed to be a simulated battle? If I had used my real abilities, you would have turned to charcoal by now. Only your clothes were burned, so what’s there to complain about? Besides...”

Fang Zheng smiled slightly.

”We’re both girls. What’s there to be shy about?”

Fang Zheng felt no psychological pressure in saying this. In her past life, there were plenty of otakus pretending to be girls, acting cute and coquettish in online games weren’t there? Just think of this as playing a real-life version of an online game. Not bursting into tears and saying ”Sister can’t beat you, brother please carry” was already quite principled!

”Uh... if you put it that way...”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s response, Aoko looked a bit disbelieving, but she had to admit that Fang Zheng had a point. If it weren’t for her own carelessness... no, even without being careless, she wouldn’t have been able to block that! Are there magicians like this? Why does this fighting style resemble those masked superheroes on TV?

Whatever, losing is losing...

Thinking of this, Aoko sighed helplessly. She hesitantly stood up and planned to go back to the Western Mansion to change clothes, but at that moment, Fang Zheng’s voice rang out again.

”Wait, where are you going?”

”Huh? I’m obviously going back to put on clothes...”

”Clothes?”

Hearing Aoko’s dissatisfied reply, Fang Zheng raised an eyebrow.

”Have you forgotten our agreement? Didn’t we agree that if I won, I’d get to take photos?”

”Huh?”

Hearing this, Aoko inexplicably felt a chill run down her spine.

”Wait, but let me at least go back and put on clothes...”

”No need, just like this is perfect! Otherwise, why do you think I used Flame Burst Slash?”

”Wait, were you doing this on purpose!?”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s nonchalant answer, Aoko jumped up and glared angrily at her. If possible, Aoko really wanted to go over and teach this annoying brat a lesson, but...

Can’t beat her, so frustrating!!

”Come over! Stand here and pose as I instruct! I’m going to start photographing!”

”Dream on! I’d rather die than comply, even if I have to jump from here... huh? Huh? What’s happening?”

Just when Aoko decided she’d never comply, she was shocked to find her body standing up uncontrollably and walking towards Fang Zheng!

”Wait, what did you do?”

”Such a fool...”

At this point, Yuzhu couldn’t hold back anymore. She closed her book and sighed.

”When you two made the agreement, she used a Word Spirit. Didn’t you notice at all?”

”Word Spirit...”

Reminded by Yuzhu, Aoko’s face turned pale.

”You despicable, shameless, vulgar!!”

”This is also part of the simulated battle.”

However, Fang Zheng’s face was as thick as the Great Wall.

”You should be grateful that I taught you this. Otherwise, if you encounter a male magician in the future and get hit by a Word Spirit, what then? They won’t be as kind as me. Who knows, they might make you OOXX, then OO, and then XX...”

”Wahhhhh!!!”

Hearing Fang Zheng’s words, Aoko’s face turned bright red, and she screamed to interrupt her. Even Yuzhu beside her had a faint blush on her otherwise fair face — which was understandable. Although they were magicians, they were also well-bred young ladies, hardly ever having heard such crude words. Yet, Fang Zheng’s reasoning was on point, leaving Aoko with no outlet for her anger.

”W-wait a moment, wait a moment...”

Seeing herself walking closer to Fang Zheng, about to become a human model, Aoko’s face turned as pale as a ghost, and then an idea suddenly flashed in her mind.

”I protest! You violated the rules! This doesn’t count!!”

”Violated the rules?”

Hearing this, Fang Zheng put down the terminal camera she was fiddling with and looked at Aoko.

”How did I violate the rules?”

”You clearly said that if I dodged your strike, it would count as my victory! I clearly dodged your first strike...”

”Huh?”

Faced with Aoko’s ”quibble”, Fang Zheng showed a puzzled expression.

”You must be mistaken. I clearly said that if you dodged my attack, but I didn’t specify just one strike, did I?”

At this point, Yuzhu, who came to the side, nodded silently, indicating that this was indeed their agreement.

”But, but... didn’t you say that dodging your strike would mean my victory?”

”Yes.”

However, Fang Zheng’s expression remained calm.

”But I said ’this strike’, not specifying ’which strike’, right? In fact, I referred to Flame Burst Slash, not Phantom Flame Pillar. And you didn’t evade either, did you.”

”..........”

Facing Fang Zheng’s response, Aoko was rendered speechless.

Is there even such a tactic?

”Alright, stop dawdling. Get ready for the photo shoot!”

”Noooo!!!”

”Oh, smile a bit sweeter... Cover up well, no accidental exposure, remember, an artistic photo doesn’t show everything!”

”I swear I’ll get back at you!!”

”Hehehe, well, we’ll see about that!”

And so, with Aoko’s exasperated wailing echoing around, a merciless photoshoot began.
