Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

Chapter 529: Chapter 528 Zelahtu, you betrayed your clan.........sorry, wrong way

After this, things quieted down quite a bit around Fang Zheng. Perhaps it was because humans realized that the Giant Dragon was unlikely to struggle and suffer along with them, or perhaps it was because Fang Zheng hadn’t brought them any additional benefits or advantages... The only thing humans got was knowing the ”truth” about their own world, which turned out to be utterly useless, and they fell into despair upon discovering that...

There had never been a Savior, no Immortals Emperor, and if they wanted to protect the happiness of all mankind, they had to rely on themselves!

Of course, there were some minor accidents in this process. Initially, the top levels of various countries had decided to seal away this report and keep the civilian population in the dark. After all, many countries still had a strong religious atmosphere; imagining their reaction if they ever found out that the deities they worshiped had croaked around eighteen hundred years ago.

What they didn’t expect was that the report somehow got leaked through unknown channels and instantly spread across major media networks with the covert push from some ”bored jerk,” and just like that, the bystander public went wild upon seeing it!

At first, many people thought it was some sort of elaborate fantasy novel written by someone with too much time on their hands, but it wasn’t long before people pointed out that many of the signatories were top scientists in the field, and the media immediately sought to confirm this after getting ahold of the information. Although some people outright refused to answer their inquiries, others indirectly confirmed the report, they even ”presented” the Giant Dragon itself.

When the originally amused bystanders realized that the report wasn’t just some fantasy novel but rather the ”truth” about their world, they were dumbstruck!

For the masses in Asian countries, it was just another spectacle; after all, atheism had been prevalent for many years. Even if they knew this was the truth of the world, it had no real impact on them. At most, they joked, ”So there’s a historical reason why spirits weren’t allowed to evolve after the founding of the nation,” and then went about their business.

But for those who held their faith as their life, believing that without God the world would become ethically corrupt and morally collapsed, it was a completely different story.

Many of them fell into despair, believing that the world had lost the protection of the deities and was now engulfed in darkness. Now, under the cover of darkness, all sorts of evil and terrifying creatures began to awaken or were drawn here, making them fear the world was truly doomed!

Thinking about this, these believers grew sadder and more disheartened, thinking, ”Without the deities, what is the point of us living? We might as well get together and jump off a building!”

Of course, the emotionally fragile were still in the minority; most people still preferred clinging to life over death, but the problem of lacking spiritual support and faith was really uncomfortable. So, these people thought it over... Since the Old God was dead, couldn’t they just worship a new deity?

So...

”Are these bastards really going to keep people from sleeping?”

Fang Zheng opened his eyes, helplessly watching the festive crowd on the opposite dock, with their dragon and lion dances, some carrying crosses, some waving long scarves, burning incense, kowtowing, praying...

Yes, the creativity of the masses is invincible; they had figured it all out—since the Old God was dead, the new deity must be established, and who else could it be but this Giant Dragon!

Thus, they created a brand new religion—The Divine Dragon Sect!

When Fang Zheng saw this religion online, he almost spewed his water over these fools.

Divine Dragon Sect my ass! Is the Sect Hierarch supposed to be Wei Xiaobao?!

Since the entire base was completely sealed off, especially the dock where Fang Zheng was located, ordinary people of course had no way to get close to him. However, they were not utterly helpless; from across the river, they started various rituals, leaving Fang Zheng not knowing whether to laugh or cry, so he just treated it as a spectacle.

It must be said, witnessing the birth of a new religion firsthand was quite interesting. Fang Zheng could even see a Taoist and a Monk arguing fiercely. The Taoist claimed that they had been descendants of dragons since ancient times, so naturally, this Giant Dragon should listen to its descendants’ words. Moreover, ”Our attitude towards dragons in the East has always been better than in the West; just go and see, there’s a Dragon King Temple in every village and town. Those blond-haired, white-skinned folks can’t be trusted,” as you know, in their mythology, you are always seen as the Evil Dragon, constantly depicted in burning, plundering, and ultimate dragon-slaying, which shows these white-skinned folks have no good intentions, Dragon King Sir, please discern this!

The Bishop naturally refuted, saying, ”Don’t think I’m unaware that you’re all pragmatic atheists with no real faith, and isn’t there also the tale of Nezha in your mythology, who stripped the dragons of their sinews, Dragonbones, and Dragonhide? So, Dragon King Sir, you must be careful, don’t be fooled by these cunning Easterners...”

Apart from tearing apart fundamental doctrines and personal attacks, the followers of the ”Divine Dragon Sect” did everything they could to curry favor with Fang Zheng. Especially with offerings, some prepared various kinds of delicacies for Fang Zheng, others brought mountains of jewels and gems, and some actually believed those mythological stories, sending Fang Zheng several lively Eastern and Western beauties!

Ah, well... when the public is this enthusiastic... it really shows their sincerity!

Had Fang Zheng not been concerned about his identity being exposed, he would have indeed been slightly tempted.

But as a man of honor, how could he bow down just for some petty benefits?

So, after agonizing over it for a while, Fang Zheng eventually chose to give up, as he still possessed a resolute will; it wasn’t just a dozen dazzling beauties in various stylish dresses swaying around outside that could capture his attention; the girls at home were even more beautiful and lovable!

Thus, Fang Zheng decisively made up his mind, quickly took care of those alien invaders, and then... slapped his butt and walked away!

And on this day, Fang Zheng didn’t have to wait long; soon, a Kraken roaming near the wormhole sent Fang Zheng a message—that the underwater wormhole had started to show activity again!

”Boom, rumble, rumble!”

In the pitch-black depths of the sea, the ground shook incessantly, and the mouth of a cavity that looked like a volcanic vent was rapidly flickering with Radiance. Shortly after, accompanied by dazzling lightning, countless particles that looked like tiny bubbles appeared from the wormhole, intertwining with each other, quickly forming a massive creature.

This creature slowly crawled out from the wormhole, opened its mouth, and emitted a silent roar. The two rows of small round compound eyes arranged on the sides of its head also started flashing blue lights.

But the creature didn’t realize that, as it appeared, a huge dark shadow silently emerged right above it.

The next moment, the Kraken, like a giant hammer falling from the sky, charged downwards and forcefully slammed onto the Blossom Beast. Caught off guard, the Blossom Beast was flipped onto the ground by the Kraken’s headbutt. Before it could stand up, the Kraken’s tail, like an octopus’s tentacle, tightly wound around the massive creature’s body. Despite this, the Blossom Beast desperately struggled, forcefully writhing its body, stirring up large clouds of dust.

Yet, at the same time, the sharp blades on the Kraken’s body that mimicked ”fish fins” suddenly extended, and then ”pfft,” they pierced into the Blossom Beast’s body!

Immediately after, the Kraken’s gaze started to change!

Got you!

Simultaneously, Fang Zheng’s consciousness rapidly surged through the Insect Hive Network into the Blossom Beast’s brain without any mercy. Soon, the power of Psionic began to vibrate. In Fang Zheng’s eyes, various scenes flashed by; the creature had been transformed, produced, given a mission, its journey through the wormhole to Earth, and its home planet... That was a planet filled with harmful gases, unsuitable for human habitation, and its residents were trying to transform Earth into the same environment as their next target...

”Who’s there!”

Just as Fang Zheng was searching through these memories, suddenly, a voice emerged from within the Blossom Beast. It sounded angry and ancient, filled with a will as steadfast as if it had transcended time itself.

”Who has entered my will?”

”I am your father!”

Feeling that vast will attacking him, Fang Zheng also snorted coldly, and the next moment, the psychic power gathered by hundreds of billions in the Swarm was unleashed in an instant, completely tearing apart the opponent’s Psychic Network like a ferocious storm and tsunami!

”———————!!”

Screams came from all directions, then gradually weakened. Fang Zheng then pulled his consciousness back into his body, and afterward, he opened his eyes. In the instant of that confrontation, Fang Zheng had obtained the enemy’s coordinates, so the next thing he had to do was clear.

Zelahtu, you have betrayed your people, and Ayr, will fall into the hands of the Swarm!
