Dimensional Codex System: I'm really not a cultist!

This is the Giant Dragon.

As the helicopter slowly approached the Giant Dragon, James felt as if his tense heart was about to leap out of his chest. He had never been this nervous, even though he had seen many monsters before and had even come into close contact with some of them. But for some reason, only in front of this terrifying Giant Dragon did he feel profoundly insignificant. For a moment, James even thought of kneeling down and bowing his head in a gesture of his own lowliness and insignificance.

Not only James, but the other people in the helicopter also had pale faces, even the pilot’s body was trembling uncontrollably, James could even hear the chattering of his teeth. At this moment, the Giant Dragon seemed to have noticed them as well; it turned its head, with those golden eyes that seemed larger than the moon, staring at them.

”It’s looking at us! God, it’s looking at us!!”

Just by a glance, James was surprised to find that the soldiers responsible for protecting him were on the verge of a breakdown. They gripped their weapons tightly, as if only these cold familiar items could bring them a semblance of psychological comfort. And James quickly stretched out his hand to press on the shoulder of one of the soldiers.

”Don’t panic! It has intelligence, I can assure you of that; we should show goodwill. If you really started a fight, then we would truly be doomed! Do you hear me?”

”Haah... Haah...”

Following James’s roar, the soldiers seemed to calm down. They mostly realized that the weapons in their hands were meaningless against the giant before them. But humans... always need to find some comfort.

So, what do we do next?

After calming the soldiers, James also started to ponder. He had to communicate with the other party, but a dragon... damn it, how was he supposed to communicate with a dragon?

But just at that moment, a deep voice entered James’s mind.

(Ah, mortals... you are as foolish and vulnerable as ever... it seems no matter how much time passes, you never change...)

”.......”

Hearing this voice from inside his head, James froze for a moment, then he looked at the soldiers beside him. At this moment, the soldiers were also panic-stricken, turning their heads and looking around.

”Did you hear that?”

”Hear what?”

”I feel like there’s a voice in my head... Is it a hallucination?”

”No, I don’t think it’s a hallucination, I heard it too... wait...”

James suddenly trembled, and then he looked again at the Giant Dragon not far away. This time, a different kind of shiver ran through his body, making his legs begin to feel weak. But this time, it was not out of fear, but out of excitement.

”Is it you... Are you the one talking to me? Giant Dragon?!”

James leaned out, he even disregarded the possibility of being sucked away by the rotating propellers, looked towards the Giant Dragon before him, and shouted loudly. This time, however, the Giant Dragon narrowed its eyes and looked at him mockingly.

”I have no interest in you, mortals. It’s best not to disturb me again. Now, I demand you leave at once... otherwise, I can’t guarantee what I might do to you.”

”Okay, we’re leaving now! Right now!”

Although the Giant Dragon’s tone was arrogant, James was as excited as if he had met an Emperor, his face flushed red, almost bowing subserviently. He then forcefully patted the soldiers beside him on their shoulders and yelled loudly.

”Quick, let’s get out of here, back to the aircraft carrier! Hurry up, don’t provoke it!”

This time the pilot didn’t say much; in fact, everyone’s faces were pale. The helicopter almost immediately turned around and quickly flew back the way it had come. James’s hands trembled with excitement. He took out his notebook, wanting to write something, but he was shaking so much he couldn’t even write a single word. He had to grab the hand of the soldier next to him and stared at him intensely.

”You all heard that voice too, right? It wasn’t just my hallucination, right? You heard it too, didn’t you?”

”Of course, I heard it too.”

”So did I, my God, what on earth was that!”

Not just James, everyone else was also immensely shocked. No wonder, humans have existed in this world for so many years, possibly for the first time they were communicating with a being of a completely different species using language! Although the Dragon didn’t seem like an alien life form, more like the antagonist boss from a fantasy story, regardless, this was humanity’s first intelligent level of language communication with another being!

”This must be some kind of telepathy, yes, in fact I couldn’t possibly understand its words, but I know what it’s trying to express...”

”Whew!!”

But James hadn’t finished speaking because just at that moment, a huge shadow suddenly swept past the helicopter, the air currents causing the helicopter to start shaking uncontrollably. Everyone instinctively grabbed onto the railings next to them, and it wasn’t until then that they realized that the battlefront below had completely transformed.

The Muto was being chased by the Flying Dragons without any way to escape to the sky or the ground. Its hard carapace was charred black by psionic flames, and in some places was even battered and torn. However, this didn’t mean that Muto truly had nowhere to run. In a final act of desperation, Muto made a choice that surprised Fang Zheng—it plunged straight into the sea!!

```
There’s this trick too?
Watching Muto burrow into the sea, Fang Zheng was also startled; he had not anticipated that this thing could swim in the water just like his own Kraken... By the way, was there a scene in the movie where this thing enters the water? It seems there was? But he couldn’t remember it at all...
”Kraken, go catch that bastard.”
Hesitating for a moment, Fang Zheng still issued the order, instructing the Kraken to chase down and capture Muto. At this moment, the Kraken and Godzilla were engaged in a tug of war, and it appeared that it would be quite some time before the winner could be determined. Thus, after some thought, Fang Zheng decided to have the Kraken deal with Muto first.
As for Godzilla... if Fang Zheng remembered correctly, there was a female Muto waiting on the U.S. East Coast to pick a fight with it, so there was no rush for now.
”Let’s go!”
After commanding the Kraken to pursue Muto, Fang Zheng flapped his wings, leading the other Flying Dragons in a spiraling ascent, chasing after the direction where Muto had disappeared. To outsiders, it appeared as though they were planning to capture that creature—And that was precisely the illusion Fang Zheng wanted them to have.
But these people clearly had no intention of giving up just yet; Fang Zheng could see several fighter jets taking off from the aircraft carrier, trailing far behind them. Obviously, these folks were not willing to let things go. If that was the case, he might as well serve them a taste of hardship!
”We shouldn’t provoke him, General!”
Standing on the deck, James watched the roaring jets take flight with a troubled look.
”Doing so will only make the Giant Dragon hostile towards us; this isn’t conducive to establishing communication...”
”I just want to know where they come from and where they plan to go! Doctor.”
The General interrupted James irritably.
”Besides, I don’t believe a dragon can talk. You all must have been stimulated by something, or are hallucinating. They’re just monsters, a bunch of oversized lizards with tails...!”
”Boom!”
Before the General could finish, suddenly, a gigantic shadow descended from the sky, landing on the deck. The violent impact made the entire aircraft carrier pitch like a tiny plank in a storm before crashing down heavily. Then the crew saw the Giant Dragon standing on the deck, its golden eyes coldly staring at them.
”Damn monster...”
Looking at the Giant Dragon before him, the General tried to draw his pistol from his waist, but he found his hand shaking uncontrollably, unable to grip the handle. Next to the Giant Dragon, the other members of the aircraft carrier either collapsed to the ground in terror or fainted on the spot. At that moment, Fang Zheng unleashed a formidable Dragon Might, and if he hadn’t restrained himself, these people would probably have been scared to death.
This feels so good.
Looking at the people collapsing to the ground, trembling like ants, Fang Zheng couldn’t help but reflect inwardly. Why do people show off? For moments like this very one!
But to put on a full performance, he still needed to continue with the act for his next plan.
With that thought, Fang Zheng sneered, then narrowed his eyes and lowered his head to look at the General before him.
(Mortal, cast aside your foolish and ignorant thoughts!)
Fang Zheng’s voice became a storm of telepathy in everyone’s minds, almost rendering them powerless.
(I am Neltharion, the Guardian of the Earth, the Warden of the remaining fires of this world! If you do not know how to show respect to a Giant Dragon, then I do not mind teaching you with death and destruction, to understand your status and place again!)
Opening his mouth, Fang Zheng let out a powerful dragon’s roar, then once again spread his wings and flew into the sky.
(Stay away from all this, mortals! This is not for you to touch!)
”.........”
Watching the Giant Dragon disappear into the clouds, the General stood there, eyes vacant, his chest heaving wildly, big droplets of sweat falling from his forehead. And at that moment, James approached the General.
”Are you alright, General? General!”
The General said nothing in response to James’s inquiry, just looking down at his trembling hands, silent.
Now that’s what I call Oscar-level acting!
Flying above the clouds, basking in the panic and fear emanating from the people below, Fang Zheng smugly nodded his head. It seems that after traveling through so many worlds, his acting skills had indeed improved!
As the saying goes, in the world of Jianghu, deception is truly an art!
