Rebirth in Famine: She Thrives by Lucky Space

Chapter 398: 398 see the leader

”Yao Shimin wants to transfer from here. I guess County Magistrate Tao wants you to be the vice factory director?”

”I’ll follow the assignments from above, but I’m afraid I won’t do well.”

Qian Jun didn’t say anything more, and the two of them met Secretary Cao.

”Mr. Qian? Oh, Director Jiang is back? County Magistrate Tao has asked about you several times. Wait a moment, I’ll check if County Magistrate Tao is available now.”

Jiang Xinyu smiled and nodded to Secretary Cao, standing beside Qian Jun.

Qian Jun turned to look at the woman smiling beside him, still feeling undecided inside, regretting that he hadn’t made decisions earlier.

”Mr. Qian, Director Jiang, County Magistrate Tao invites you both in.”

Tao Juncheng looked at the two entering, his face full of smiles. His position was much more comfortable than other magistrates because of the textile factory.

”County Magistrate Tao, Jiang Xinyu reporting back.”

”Good, very good, welcome back, Director Jiang. Please both sit down.”

Secretary Cao brought in two cups of water and then smilingly exited.

”Director Jiang, can you show me your diploma?”

Jiang Xinyu, smiling, took out her diploma and party membership certificate.

”Good, really good, truly a progressive young person.”

”Thank you, County Magistrate Tao, for the praise. I have learned a lot over these four years and want to contribute to the country with my modest efforts.”

Tao Juncheng’s smile deepened. ”Mr. Qian, I heard Vice Factory Director Yao wants to transfer from the textile factory?”

”Yes, Vice Factory Director Yao has been married for three years, but the couple has been living apart, and his parents’ health is poor. He wants to return home to take care of his family and parents.”

”Indeed, when children want to care for their parents, they can’t wait. The elderly cannot be delayed.

By the way, has the Management Bureau responded?”

”Not yet, they have their considerations.”

”Let’s do this. If Vice Factory Director Yao leaves, let Director Jiang become the vice factory director. You two have worked together for so many years and are quite familiar, with great rapport.

When you get a call from above, just say don’t appoint anyone for the vice factory director position.”

Qian Jun nodded with a smile, ”Yes, I’ll call the Management Bureau.”

”Director Jiang, do you have confidence?”

”Thank you for the leadership’s recognition. I will definitely work harder.

However, I hope above can assign a technical vice factory director. Our equipment is not advanced, and to boost production, talent is needed. Honestly, whether I take the vice factory director position or not doesn’t matter to me; I hope our textile factory can improve, producing more fabric so that the people can have new clothes.”

Tao Juncheng applauded vigorously, ”Director Jiang is magnanimous, very good, prioritizing the bigger picture.”

”Thank you for the praise, County Magistrate Tao. As a member of the textile factory, I hope the factory can flourish.”

”Good, Mr. Qian, call the Management Bureau and ask for a technical director. The textile factory with so many workers doesn’t have too many directors.”

”Yes, I’ll call the Management Bureau when I return today,” Qian Jun said with a smile.

Jiang Xinyu studied management, and such a person is a candidate for factory director in the future. But I don’t feel defensive around her because I know she is not an ambitious person. Unlike some female colleagues who are aggressive and give an overbearing impression.

”Also, since Director Jiang is already a party member, the textile factory’s party branch should become independent, with Director Jiang as the branch secretary.”

”Yes, that’s what I was considering.”

”Director Jiang, what’s your opinion?”

”County Magistrate Tao, I will definitely do a good job, and I want to develop our textile factory’s party members.

They are all dedicated coworkers who love their jobs. We should give them opportunities.”

”Good, write a petition report and submit it to me. We will consider your textile factory’s party member quota.”

”Yes.”

At this moment, Secretary Cao entered, ”County Magistrate Tao, there’s an important meeting starting soon.”

Qian Jun and Jiang Xinyu immediately stood up to bid farewell and left.

The two got into the car, ”Jiang Xinyu, personally, I don’t want Yao Shimin to leave. I think even if we get another technical vice factory director, they wouldn’t compare to Yao Shimin. Do you have a good solution?”

”Mr. Qian, Vice Factory Director Yao wants to leave because of family reasons. Our factory can solve his worries, and thus retain Vice Factory Director Yao.

I’m not sure why Vice Factory Director Yao’s wife doesn’t come over. Is it because of her work? Or parents? Or housing?

We can resolve these, but if they just dislike being here, we really can’t help.”

”I understand what you mean. I’ll talk to Yao Shimin.”

Yao Shimin’s skills are truly strong, and he graduated from university with a major in mechanics. So Qian Jun really doesn’t want to let such talent go.

The two returned to the factory and each went to their office. Jiang Xinyu wanted to finish the application before leaving work. Why develop so few party members with such a big factory?

Since the magistrate has made a promise, we should strike while the iron is hot.

”Secretary Song, inform everyone that after tomorrow’s morning meetings in each department, at nine o’clock we’ll have a meeting for all group leaders and above.”

”Yes, I’ll notify them immediately.”

”Good, I’m going to find Vice Factory Director Yao. Call me if there’s anything.”

Qian Jun found Yao Shimin, who was busy drawing blueprints, and didn’t disturb him, just watched from the side.

”Mr. Qian. Has Director Jiang’s appointment as vice factory director been finalized?”

”Almost, Shimin, can you not leave?”

Yao Shimin dropped his pen, ”Qian Jun, I really regret getting married.”

”Why isn’t your wife coming over? Today, Jiang Xinyu and I discussed this. She said to retain talent, we need to solve your issues. If it’s because of work, our textile factory can arrange; housing can also be solved. This way, your family can come over.”

”My mom now regrets, saying I should have found a wife here, avoiding this problem.”

”Let’s arrange a good job for your wife. Shouldn’t she then have no worries?”

”I’ll call her? She’s working in the government now, and in her mind, that’s the best type of job.” Yao Shimin was truly helpless, picking up the phone and dialing his wife’s office.

”Hello, please get me Yu Wensu. I’m her husband, thank you.”

After two minutes, the call was answered from the other side.

”What do you want?”

Yao Shimin restrained his anger, ”Do I have to have a reason to call you?”

There was a pause from the other end, ”I was thinking of calling you too. Let’s divorce; I’ve had enough of days like these, having a husband like having none.”

”I’m planning to transfer back.”

”Even so, let’s divorce; we don’t suit each other.”
