Rebirth in Famine: She Thrives by Lucky Space

Chapter 397: 397 The mother of 2 children

Wei Kaiyun frowned and said, ”Send this document over to Director Ding.”

”Okay, also, here’s the additional order from the dye factory.”

”Our dyeing workshop is shipping products quite quickly now, how could we have excess for them to add on? Just directly reject it.”

The production pressure is immense right now, but since he had a pretty decent personal relationship with Liang Shaozuo, it wasn’t really at a difficult stage yet, so he decided to wait to talk about it later.

After Lu Wei Qi finished reporting his work and left, Wei Kaiyun was the only one left in the office. He irritably stood up and looked out the window, calming himself for a while before sitting back down.

He had a plan in hand, which was an application from the procurement department wanting to expand the purchase area, but this had to be reported by himself.

But since everyone is urging, that’s all there is to be done.

After Jiang Xinyu put down the phone, she sat blankly for a moment before getting up to get the textile factory’s briefing.

Having been away for four years, it felt detached. Better to start afresh.

It was not until eleven thirty that she put it down and rubbed her temples. It really wasn’t easy; looking at the still thick pile, that was just this year’s.

Jiang Xinyu felt somewhat discouraged. When could she possibly finish reading all this?

She took out the lunchbox from her bag, she better eat first. She still had to go to the county in the afternoon, and who knows when she’d be back?

On the way, she bumped into Song Qingqing and Pan Xiulan, who were carrying lunchboxes.

”This is?”

”For the two directors.”

”Mm, I’ll save a seat, waiting for you two.”

The two smiled and nodded, quickly walking back.

Jiang Xinyu entered the cafeteria, her mouth didn’t stop, chatting with people who greeted her. She queued, waiting to get her meal.

”Xinyu, Xinyu.”

”Mengjie? How have you been these past years?”

”Pretty good, welcome back.” This time, Kong Mengjie genuinely welcomed Jiang Xinyu; today those mocking her were much fewer.

”Do you have time to come over for a meal?”

Jiang Xinyu laughed and shook her head, ”I don’t have time after work, I still have two kids at home.”

”Kids?”

Suddenly the dining hall became quiet, everyone looking at the two of them.

”Yeah, I have two kids to take care of, so honestly, I don’t have time, sorry.”

Kong Mengjie awkwardly smiled, she was too surprised just now, her voice unconsciously a bit loud.

This was explosive news, turned out Jiang Xinyu was already married and even had two kids.

This made the unmarried male colleagues at the factory somewhat sad. How come she got married? How come she had kids? There was no hope at all.

”Xinyu, why didn’t you notify us when you got married?”

Jiang Xinyu just smiled at Kong Mengjie without speaking, it was soon her turn to get her meal.

Kong Mengjie felt rebuffed, a bit annoyed. She looked down and moved forward with the crowd.

Jiang Xinyu asked for eggplant stew with potatoes and half a serving of sorghum rice.

She scanned around with her lunchbox but couldn’t find a table, ”Director Jiang, we’ll come find you,” Song Qingqing quietly said.

Jiang Xinyu smiled and nodded, ”Alright!”

Actually, eating in the office is more comfortable, such a big cafeteria, even with fans it’s hot.

Returning to the office, she turned on the electric fan, poured a glass of water, and waited for Song Qingqing and the other to arrive.

Within five minutes, the two came over, and the three of them sat down to eat.

”Director Jiang, Xinyu, is it true what you said?”

Jiang Xinyu smiled, ”Yes, I really have two kids.”

The two looked at Jiang Xinyu in surprise, ”You’ve been really fast, we just have one child.”

Jiang Xinyu just laughed, ”You two can hurry up too.”

”I definitely want to visit your home today to meet your kids.”

”Sure, bring back the things I have prepared for you.”

After the three of them finished eating, the two didn’t leave and just lingered in Jiang Xinyu’s office.

”Xinyu, where’s your partner from?” Song Qingqing asked.

”Yeah, who exactly is it? Managed to marry our Director Jiang, you had no idea, after you left just now, the unmarried male colleagues in the cafeteria looked like frostbitten eggplants.”

”We split.” Saying this isn’t exactly lying, after all, they really weren’t living together.

The two were stunned, looking dazedly at Jiang Xinyu.

”Xinyu, who was so blind? A true fool.” Song Qingqing shouted.

Jiang Xinyu looked at the two concernedly looking at her, ”Thanks for your concern, but don’t ask, I don’t want to talk about it.”

The two instantly imagined, this was Jiang Xinyu being hurt, abandoned. Was there really such a man? Already had two kids and still managed to abandon his wife and children. Jiang Xinyu really had bad judgment.

The atmosphere became a bit awkward, the two didn’t know what to say.

”Alright, no need to pity me, I’ve long come to terms with it.”

The two simultaneously thought, you say you’ve accepted, why don’t you want to talk about it?

”Okay, don’t look at me like that, let’s talk about something else. I feel bad for missing your weddings and child births, on Saturday bring your partners and kids over for a meal at my place?”

Does Jiang Xinyu want to change the topic?

”Of course, we’ll visit you with our families on Saturday.”

”Great, that’s settled then. See you on Saturday.”

The two couldn’t stay any longer and quickly left.

After seeing them off, Jiang Xinyu didn’t go to the back to rest, where the electric fan couldn’t reach, besides there was no mattress.

She dozed off for a while until hearing a knock on the door.

”Mr. Qian? Are we leaving now?”

Qian Jun looked at Jiang Xinyu with a complex expression, nodding, ”Yes, let’s head off now.”

Qian Jun drove himself, Jiang Xinyu sat in the back.

It was really stuffy in the car, Jiang Xinyu opened all the rear windows. Once the car started moving, it was much better, but in that short time, Jiang Xinyu broke into a sweat, feeling extremely uncomfortable.

Qian Jun watched Jiang Xinyu via the rear-view mirror, this woman had indeed changed a lot, ”Jiang Xinyu, how are your kids?”

”Quite good, I hired a master to look after them, even teaching them martial arts.”

Qian Jun had already heard she had two kids, so he came out early to ask about it.

”What about the man?”

”We’re separated; I can handle raising the two kids myself.”

”Don’t you know how terrible gossip can be?”

”I know, but I can’t live according to what others think.

Just let everyone talk, as long as I take good care of the two kids, that’s enough.”

”Why don’t you find someone new?”

”No, I don’t have that in mind, having them alone already makes me content. Us Niang San can live quite well.”

Qian Jun didn’t say more, she spoke so firmly, what else was there to say?

The two of them stayed silent the entire way to the county government courtyard. After parking, Jiang Xinyu followed closely behind Qian Jun.
