Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

With a twitch of his body, Yang Yu sidestepped to the left, dodging the warhammer of Liu Chuan.

A black shadow flashed behind Yang Yu and smeared onto his shield.

Grasping the timing of the Holy Light Shield’s disappearance, Yang Yu launched his shield, smashing it into Liu Chuan’s abdomen.

”Shadow Deception” was a State Skill; if mastered well, it could attach anywhere.

Attaching it to the left-hand shield was not a difficult task for Yang Yu.

A surge welled up in his stomach, yet Liu Chuan didn’t show the slightest disarray and didn’t even step back.

A burst of Holy Light overflowed from Liu Chuan’s body, spreading rapidly in waves centering on him.

As if a strong wind had swept by before him, Yang Yu was forced back several meters by the ”Sacred Ripples” released by Liu Chuan.

With his feet firmly on the ground, Yang Yu activated ”Climbing” and grabbed the solid ground to stop himself.

Yang Yu had experienced the same skill multiple times with Iyas, and he was well accustomed to it; as soon as the ripple of Holy Light ended, an orange glow leaped onto Yang Yu’s sword blade.

Instead of retreating, Yang Yu advanced, attacking Liu Chuan.

Iyas once again drew her bowstring with a Holy Light-formed arrow materializing in her hands.

She launched a combo of ”Hunter Mark” and ”Gale Point Break,” the arrow swift as the wind, covering Yang Yu as he advanced.

Bai Jin was also conjuring magic to assist Yang Yu in combat.

A purple mist formed in front of Bai Jin’s magic wand.

That was the long-unused ”Healing Forbidden” by Bai Jin.

In his spare time, Yang Yu would actively chat with Bai Jin about strategies against different enemies.

Yang Yu had also discussed strategies against professions like Priest and Holy Knight.

Professions with healing capabilities were extremely tough to deal with.

When the attack power was insufficient, they could periodically heal themselves, which was utterly frustrating.

You might be dead, and they could potentially be dancing on your grave at full health.

To defeat them quickly, you either needed extremely high damage to finish them in one go, or you had to control them incessantly, denying them any chance to heal themselves...

If the above two scenarios were not met, reducing the opponent’s healing output was a very good choice.

Holy Knights, also wielders of Holy Light, logically possessed one or two dispelling skills.

That said, Iyas had also been intensively learning Holy Light’s dispelling skills recently, but she still... wasn’t skilled enough to use them effectively.

When Yang Yu was restrained, Bai Jin had seen Iyas wavering over whether to use that unrefined Holy Light dispelling magic…

After a moment of hesitation, Iyas ultimately opted for a more reliable archery attack.

Iyas had been exposed to Holy Light for less than a year, so her inability to use dispelling magic was understandable.

However, if it were an elite Holy Knight trained by the Luo Ze Empire who couldn’t use dispelling skills, that would be laughable.

Bai Jin prioritized using ”Weapon Corrosion” to also deplete Liu Chuan’s dispelling magic.

With a flick of her magic wand, the purple orb of light swiftly flew towards Liu Chuan.

Liu Chuan initially wanted to dodge.

However, after combatting Yang Yu, Liu Chuan firsthand felt the suffocating force emanating from Yang Yu.

Liu Chuan had a premonition that if he dared to use Holy Light to counter the curse magic, Yang Yu would seize that fleeting chance to overwhelm him without giving him a moment to breathe.

After swallowing Bai Jin’s ”Healing Forbidden,” avoiding Iyas’s arrows, Liu Chuan swung his warhammer and infused it with Holy Light.

The entire warhammer emitted a dazzling glow in an instant.

Liu Chuan had studied the colorful-haired masked man carefully, and he knew that Yang Yu’s movements were extremely agile, comparable to an assassin.

If he merely used the method suitable for warriors to deal with Yang Yu, it would not work at all.

He needed to use the tactics for dealing with assassins to have a chance of victory.

The shimmering warhammer, whistling downwards, Yang Yu’s eyes burst with red light, abruptly increasing his speed, he dodged Liu Chuan’s hammer and circled to Liu Chuan’s back, unleashing a sword attack on the exquisite armor.

Ignoring the stinging pain from his back, Liu Chuan’s hammer did not stop and heavily struck the ground.

It was as though the hammer had hit ice, countless cracks spreading along the street from the point of impact.

The Holy Light on the hammer gradually gathered and solidified, turning into streams of liquid that flowed into the cracks, seeping into the grounds of Blazing Fire City.

A strange array formed under Liu Chuan’s feet.

Sensing Liu Chuan’s intention, it was already too late to flee.

Yang Yu held his sword with both hands, thrusting downward, creating a ”ding—” sound as the sharp sword tip made intimate contact with the ground.

”Thorny Binding.”

Following a command, purple thorns unexpectedly grew from the ground without warning, coiling towards Liu Chuan’s body.

However, perhaps because the sword blade couldn’t effectively conduct Yang Yu’s Magic Power into the ground, the smooth surface did sprout thorns, but they were too frail and sparse, making one doubt their ability to bind anyone.

The thorns summoned by Yang Yu were so weak, Liu Chuan simply ignored the thorns wrapping around his body, pulled out the hammer stuck in the ground, and raised it high overhead.

The Holy Light that had seeped into the ground’s cracks swam in the mirror-like floor, appearing like countless Light-consisted tadpoles, forming a closed circle around them.

Countless glittering Holy Lights floated up from the halo, spinning, transforming into a tornado drawing Yang Yu and Liu Chuan ever tighter.

”The ’Holy Storm’,” a skill utilizing Holy Light to trap the enemy.

Before the storm ceased, escaping from it meant risking being pierced by numerous Holy Lights.

Bai Jin and Iyas each launched an Attack at the rising ”Holy Storm,” but the whirlwind instantly shredded their Attacks into pieces.

To break through the ”Holy Storm” required a far more powerful Attack.

Yang Yu didn’t know whether the nearly three thousand Intelligence of Bai Jin could break through this storm...

If he gave the Legendary Magic Wand to Bai Jin, perhaps it could be done.

But now, Yang Yu also had no way to hand over that Legendary Magic Wand to Bai Jin...

Using this skill to trap an opponent more agile than himself was indeed a wise move.

Staying in the storm himself was enough to see Liu Chuan’s courage and confidence.

Yang Yu could tell that the man in front of him was very different from the enemies he had encountered so far.

Liu Chuan had likely done considerable homework to defeat him.

Yang Yu didn’t know where exactly Liu Chuan had seen his combat.

...Perhaps even the fact that he was nimble with little attacking power was also fully known to him.

Even with such power, one must still prepare carefully, perhaps Liu Chuan was similar to himself.

How to decide the victory would depend on each person’s ability to adapt.

Yang Yu fearlessly flashed a smile, his eyes now hinting at a challenge.
