Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Yang Yu was not satisfied with the first Blazing Fire Clan member Chen Shi brought over.

The member of the Blazing Fire Clan was tall and extremely robust, with large muscles exposed, presenting a very philosophical appearance.

He also liked to pose from time to time to show off his strength, which immediately reminded Yang Yu of his warrior mentor, Andro.

Yang Yu and his team were on a task of close-range blasting.

Although Yang Yu had asked Chen Shi to send someone from the Blazing Fire Clan who was not afraid to die...

Yang Yu didn’t actually want the Blazing Fire Clan member to sacrifice himself; on the contrary, he wanted the Blazing Fire Clan member following him to survive.

Such a huge Blazing Fire Clan member was simply a target; if anything happened, Yang Yu wouldn’t be able to save him in time.

Having no choice, Yang Yu explained his specific requirements to Chen Shi and asked for someone else.

Soon, a Blazing Fire Clan girl with fiery red twin ponytails stood beside Yang Yu.

Her name was Chenshui, and her figure was only as large as that of a thirteen- or fourteen-year-old girl.

Despite her lack of speed, her size and other attributes barely met Yang Yu’s requirements, so he didn’t fuss too much,

”Looking forward to your performance,”

he said, as Yang Yu stepped on the gravel and approached General Dongmu to start discussing the allocation of personnel.

Chenshui had something to say, but seeing Yang Yu so busy, she swallowed her words back down.

Before long, Yang Yu and General Dongmu had formed multiple troops and distributed their respective tasks.

The feint troops bombarded the inner walls of the volcano, creating a semblance of a surprise attack.

For this purpose, having powerful magicians was not essential, so long as the noise was loud enough; it didn’t matter whether the walls were damaged or not.

Magicians had plenty of ways to create a loud noise.

On the other hand, the frontline troops needed a large number of personnel, especially elite magicians.

In the narrow passages, it was highly likely that they would encounter an ambush from the Luo Ze Empire, with very limited places to evade.

Only by having enough magicians could they ensure the utmost safety.

Moreover, to get close to the blocked tunnel, they also needed the concerted effort of many magicians.

After allocating the troops, Yang Yu and his team took a temporary rest at the base of the volcano.

Taking advantage of the night, the feint troops quietly moved to the other side of the volcano along the base, continuously climbing upward.

It wasn’t until they reached the mouth of the volcano that the feint Beastman Army got a moment to breathe, but they didn’t rest for long. They immediately used their tools to set up and secure ropes at the mouth of the volcano.

After repeatedly checking that the setup was secure, each Beastman Mage tied a rope around their waist, and after using the ”Lightweight” spell, they began to descend the inner walls of the volcano.

Beneath their feet, the red magma emitted bubbles one after another, releasing incredible heat, baking their bodies, and testing their willpower.

The slightest misstep would lead to a fall into the volcano, where they would be instantly charred by the magma below.

The gases slowly drifting out of the volcano were also torturous for the Beastmen with their keen sense of smell; fortunately, before entering the volcano, they had torn up some cloth, soaked it in water, and covered their noses and mouths, barely managing to endure.

As they got closer to the intended location, an indescribable sense of suffocation accompanied by slight nausea surged in the hearts of the Beastman Mages.

Regardless of whether the suffocation came from external sources or from within themselves, they had to persist.

Even if their bodies were slightly fatigued, to help the Blazing Fire Clan take back their city and to reduce troop casualties, these soldiers had to complete their mission.

Beastman Mages hung like spiders, some raising their hands, others lifting their Magic Wands, aiming at a specific point in the middle of the volcano.

The Beastman Mages didn’t know where they were closest to the Blazing Fire Clan’s shrine, nor did they need to know. They just needed to concentrate their magic at one point to provoke a massive noise and vibration.

A Beastman Mage at the crater swallowed nervously and reported to the main force through the Crystal Ball:

”General Dongmu, the troops have assembled.”

”I know. My troops are also ready. In ten minutes, we’ll begin the attack,”

”Received!”

After cutting off communication, Dongmu looked toward Yang Yu, who was gathering his troops.

Yang Yu was making final preparations—hiding his identity.

He took a cat-ear hair clip from the system and placed it on his head, then took off his mask and put on a strange half-helmet, deliberately exposing his fake ears.

”General Potato, I entrust the entire attack task to you. Blow up the entrance and capture all the trouble-making humans in Blazing Fire City!” Dongmu rubbed his hands together in anticipation.

”I can only promise to do my best.

If we encounter difficulties, we will prioritize preserving our strength.

With the green hills preserved, we’ll not worry about the lack of firewood.

General Dongmu, don’t get too heated,”

After finishing, Yang Yu commanded his troops to form into a sharp bullet head.

The first wave of the Beastman wasn’t large; the bullet’s exterior was tough Shield Soldiers, the interior packed with defensive Mages, while Yang Yu and a girl from the Blazing Fire Clan were the secret weapons among the ammunition.

”Charge!”

At Yang Yu’s command, his vanguard troops shot out like real bullets towards the rock-covered entrance.

The tough Shield Soldiers stomped on the scattered rocks beneath their feet with their brute strength, making the path as smooth as possible for the following troops.

Before long, before a pile of rubble, several conspicuous Magic Arrays suddenly formed.

Instantaneously, violent magic burst out from the Arrays like brilliant meteors, bombarding the Beastman Army.

Chanting Spells, the Beastman Mage erected his Magic Wand, and layers of light shields made of magic formed in front of the Shield Soldiers.

The violent Magic Energy stirred ripples one after another on the light shields constructed by the Beastman Mage.

Unwilling to vanish so easily, the violent magic then bombarded from the left and right sides of Yang Yu’s troops.

The flying sand and rocks hit the Magic Shields as if striking a sensitive nerve of the Beastman Magic Troop, causing each Beastman Mage to tense up.

Before the formal action, Yang Yu had ordered these Beastman Mages; they must withstand wave after wave of attacks to push the troops forward as close as possible to the stone-covered entrance.

The Mages also knew that if the light shields they created were blown open by Luo Ze Empire’s magic, it wouldn’t just be their own doom but also the doom of the troops behind them, ruining their carefully planned strategy.

The magic attacks from Luo Ze Empire had a brief pause, yet the Beastman Mage had no time to rest. They followed closely behind the leading Shield Soldiers, jogging forward.

And as they closed the distance, they awaited even more powerful magic.

This time, the Magic Shields built by the Beastman Mages wavered in Luo Ze Empire’s magic like bubbles about to burst in a strong wind.

Fortuitously, this bubble didn’t burst under Luo Ze’s troops’ magic attacks.

Yang Yu’s ”bullet” had withstood another attack from Luo Ze’s troops.
