Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Bai Jin, with her current strength, could instantly kill a non-magician Yajiang with concentrated firepower; she’d still need a few more strikes for someone at a General level.

The black shadow rolled onto the sword blade as Yang Yu swung toward Qiuyue, who, with her dying breath, muttered the words ”I surrender.”

Yang Yu’s sword halted, and he turned to look at the other Luo Ze soldiers.

Beastman Soldiers were darting through the jungle, and these Luo Ze soldiers were like frightened birds.

Their Grand General had been brought down and had surrendered obediently; where would they find the courage to continue resisting?

Yang Yu didn’t even need to fight; everyone had already surrendered.

Yang Yu shook his head and sheathed his sword into the System; they surrendered too damned decisively.

They hadn’t even had a proper demonstration, and it was already over; how was he supposed to teach his students anything?

Before the attack, Yang Yu had anticipated various scenarios, including Luo Ze’s troops ignoring them and moving on, organizing a search-and-destroy mission, or sending out elite forces for delay tactics.

But Yang Yu had never imagined that the first battle would be this easy.

It felt like going on a date, dressed in a suit, wallet filled with money, looking sharp and charming, having thought of a hundred different ways to confess, only for the girl to show up in slippers, craving spicy hot pot, and asking if he had brought his ID Card.

However, this couldn’t be considered a failure in teaching.

After receiving reports from all the small squads, Yang Yu could confirm that they had achieved a flawless victory in this battle within the dense forest, capturing over three thousand from the enemy and annihilating about a thousand.

The Beastmen meticulously followed Yang Yu’s teachings, utilizing their superior senses to move swiftly through the forest, using various ambushes and traps set in advance to shatter the fragmented human troops in an instant.

This resounding victory also gave the Beastmen confidence, supporting their belief in the efficacy of Yang Yu’s tactics.

As long as they could carry it out, not to mention taking back the surroundings of Qinghe Volcano, stopping the humans’ advance was definitely achievable.

Having gathered the captured prisoners, Yang Yu handed them over to the officers to be taken to the POW camps. He addressed the converging squads, ”This battle was easier than we anticipated.

However, we must not become complacent because of it. The human troops thought our attacks were scarce and mistook our numbers for being small, which allowed us to fight this beautiful battle.

We must take this as a lesson and never let our guard down.

This tactic also has the potential to be deciphered by humans. I have already passed on everything you need to be aware of.

The rest is up to how you adapt.

If you encounter people who run away from you, do not rashly pursue them. You can only output power if you reserve the force of life.

Going forward, we will further expand our operational area, gradually infiltrating every corner around Qinghe Volcano.

Aside from dispersing large human forces, our communication with each other will become slightly weaker.

We will operate in units of a hundred, maintain contact as much as possible, and when faced with a situation that a hundred-person team cannot handle, we will contact others.

If you encounter other Beastman armies, remember to communicate with them patiently. Don’t be stingy; pass on everything you’ve learned to them.

Moreover...”

For the sake of smoothly progressing the war, Yang Yu repeated all the past teachings and precautions to his troops a few times.

”Finally, this is your graduation ceremony.

My squad and I will face you again, still using a hundred people as the basic unit.

Try to overcome me within a certain time; if you lose, you must surrender obediently.”

Once Yang Yu finished his instructions, he began to tirelessly teach his troops, seizing the opportunity to thoroughly reap the ”Experience” they hadn’t harvested earlier.

Night fell.

Yang Yu gathered with his soldiers and had a joyous dinner together.

After this day, they would fully implement Yang Yu’s tactics, ensuring that the human troops who dared enter the surroundings of Qinghe Volcano came and went no more, thoroughly severing the connection between cities.

After dinner, Yang Yu also received a communication from the superior responsible for the strategy to conquer Qinghe Volcano.

”Hahaha, it’s been a long time since we last saw each other, General Potato.”

Dongmu laughed heartily on the other end of the crystal ball,

”You’ve already officially headed towards the surroundings of Qinghe Volcano, right?

When you first asked me for a week’s time, I was really surprised, thinking you could lead the troops right away.

Now, how are things going?”

”Not bad!

I’m not the kind of military god people talk about; my team needs time to mesh and set up various strategies.

Naturally, that takes some time.”

Yang Yu spoke very calmly,

”General, how about things at your end?”

”Over here? To be honest, it’s a bit tough. Although the humans haven’t taken more land this winter, countless have died or been injured to defend those cities.

A few units have lost their fighting spirit, and there are even some who utter stupid things like ’It’s better to surrender to the Luo Ze Empire early than to watch comrades die by my side.’

I slapped one of them across the face on the spot, knocking him into bed for half a day!”

Dongmu said this with a calm face but with a terrifying message, his smile mixed with a hint of helplessness,

”Although I’ve instilled in them the idea that only with a country can there be a home, not everyone is as thoughtful and aware as you.

Many who go to the battlefield full of vigor end up too scared to advance because of its brutality.

It’s a long road ahead to get them to fully understand our current actions.

Moreover, there are the new recruits that were sent here just this spring.

Ah, if we could get a few like you every quarter, we could fight much more easily.

Just a joke.

In short, it takes time to integrate my troops.

Minister Ming Dalak has given you a lot of freedom, and your proposals are interesting, so it’s up to you and your troops to demonstrate.

If we can quickly capture a few thousand people, it would be easier to roll out.”

”I understand.”

”There’s not much else to say from my side.

Remember, haste makes waste, and if it really comes down to it, we have a backup. The sub-human races whose habitats have been occupied are quite willing to help us.

See you before long!”

Having said that, Dongmu cut off the communication.

Yang Yu, following Dongmu’s example, pinched his chin, deep in thought.

Watching the profile of Yang Yu contemplating, Bai Jin slowly retracted the crystal ball, her hand opening and closing, and behind her long fringe, her eyes first showed confusion but then turned resolute. She clenched her fists tightly, hidden beneath her magic robe.

Just like Yang Yu was pondering, Bai Jin was also deep in thought.

Especially after stepping into the periphery of Qinghe Volcano, Bai Jin’s thoughts intensified.

Getting closer to her goal, Bai Jin felt not excited or nervous, but instead, her calm reached an extreme.

Their identities had already been discovered by the Curse Sect, and even if she completely destroyed the ”Abyss Gate” in her hands, it didn’t mean everything was settled.

After using the ”Abyss Gate” several times, Bai Jin faintly realized what her father wanted to do.

If the Curse Sect could still summon demons after she destroyed the ”Abyss Gate” in her possession, then...

She would have no way to fulfill her father’s long-cherished wish.
