Demon King: Hero, don’t run away!

Chapter 485: Chapter 485 Rose and Mushroom

The smoke had not yet dispersed, but Yang Yu felt something rapidly moving underground, sweeping towards them.

”Lotcar.”

Yang Yu voiced a warning, while Lotcar had already sensed the sound coming from below a step ahead of him.

Without warning, the ground beside them cracked rapidly.

Clusters of rose branches burst forth without warning, wilding growing.

Yang Yu quickly drew a shield and sword from the System, but the coverage of the rose branches far exceeded his expectations, spreading throughout the entire street.

Worse still, these rose branches were as tough as the thorns used by Yang Yu, launching attacks toward them as if conscious.

After cutting through countless rose branches, the sharp spurs on the rose branches, like little knives, chilled Yang Yu to the bone, nothing like his own ”Thorny Binding.”

Once entangled by the rose branches, one could not avoid being tormented.

”Double-sided Slash.”

A red glow emanated from his hand as Yang Yu converted his Life Value into damage, spinning to slash at the rose branches, barely creating a foothold.

Lotcar did not react as quickly as Yang Yu, and given his enormous size, there was simply no way to avoid the rose branches completely, even though Bai Jin used Ice Magic to freeze them.

The sharp rose branches grew longer and more numerous, and then, like vines, wrapped around Lotcar’s arms. Lotcar tried to pull his arms free from the rose branches, but the sharp spurs pierced his skin, instantly staining his silver fur red.

Iyas utilized ”Sacred Ripples,” hoping to use Holy Light to scatter the approaching rose branches, but the roses were rooted deeply underground and remained unshaken by the Holy Light blasts from Iyas.

The wind from ”Sacred Ripples” only managed to blow away the thick smoke, fully revealing the true forms of two figures.

The most eye-catching was a graceful woman, her clothing woven from rose leaves and thorns, barely more than a swimsuit, with only a few stripes applied, it could set anyone’s mind racing.

She had flowing fiery red hair and wore a helmet resembling an unopened rose, concealing her eyes; her crimson lips were incredibly striking under the sunlight.

A green thorn wrapped around her arm, plunging into the ground.

It was she who had constructed this exaggerated Rose Jungle.

Beside her stood a tall, thin man wearing a gray-white coat, with heels clicking on the ground and a high collar covering his mouth and nose, giving off a very alternative vibe.

Significantly, a blooming mushroom cap adorned his head, with distinct undulating gills beneath.

Yang Yu could faintly smell a delicious aroma in the air, the scent of wild Chicken Mushrooms.

On closer inspection, the attributes of the two were taken in by Yang Yu’s eyes.

Seeing the data panels of the two people, the question that had long plagued Yang Yu surfaced in his mind once again.

How should one cook Chicken Mushroom to make it delicious?

No, that’s not right, are mushrooms considered plants?

Yang Yu quickly raised his hand to wipe away the drool that had leaked from the corner of his mouth. Across from him were bona fide members of the Plant Clan, and the parts that looked quite appetizing were actually part of their bodies.

Doesn’t drooling now mean he was coveting someone else’s body?

Hold back, he must hold back. Biting that guy’s cap is just like biting his hair.

However, if it were hair, it should grow back after being plucked...

Yang Yu couldn’t help but swallow his saliva.

It’s all because the other person looked too delicious, causing him to be nearly distracted.

If he were to go by the knowledge he had learned before, mushrooms should be considered the fruiting body of fungi, so why are they also classified under the Plant Clan? Don’t the other plants have any dignity?

Yang Yu vaguely remembered, when he had used the Plant Clan’s Racial Essence, he had been presented with numerous mentor options, among which were mushrooms and roses.

Choosing not to attack others, but to choose him for an attack.

The reason for these two Plant Clan members’ appearance was self-evident.

Seeing the opponent’s attributes and demonstrated strength, Yang Yu knew his chances of winning were slim.

Moreover, this was the Silver Teeth Clan’s village. Starting a conflict here could give Kai Bu an advantage.

”Members of the Plant Clan, why did you suddenly attack us?”

Seeing that the rose branches no longer approached, Yang Yu attempted to strike up a conversation with the two people. But before he could finish speaking, Meiyu. Rose blinked and was instantly in front of Yang Yu, while the spot she had been standing in was now just a pile of red rose petals.

Meiyu. Rose lifted Yang Yu’s face with her hand, adorned with long red nails. Iyas and Bai Jin immediately went on guard, brandishing their weapons at Meiyu. Rose.

Meiyu. Rose was not the least bit flustered but continued to size up Yang Yu’s ordinary yet somewhat charming face.

Yang Yu put down his sword and gestured to Bai Jin and the others to stop and not to make any unnecessary moves.

Bai Jin and Iyas frowned but could only lower their weapons.

Meiyu. Rose carried on casually caressing Yang Yu’s face, finally tugging gently at his cheek to one side.

”Hey beggar, why do you treat me this way? Don’t tell me you’ve fallen for me at first sight?”

Yang Yu feigned a blush, curious about Meiyu. Rose’s reaction, only to have her squeeze his chin forcefully.

Suddenly, the Skill ”Thorny Binding” on Yang Yu’s skill list shone brightly, followed by a multitude of purple thorns growing from the ground at his feet, uncontrollably spewing outward like a fountain.

”Hmm... just as I thought. Kid, why do you have the Plant Clan’s abilities? I don’t ever recall granting the Plant Clan’s Racial Essence to an outsider like you.”

With her suspicions confirmed, Meiyu. Rose didn’t hide the anger in her voice as she reached for Yang Yu’s neck.

But before her hand could land on Yang Yu’s neck, he unexpectedly stepped back sharply, then turned his body to fall towards the thorns controlled by Meiyu. Rose.

Clusters of thorns left a series of scratches on his body.
